I love this app, the artist's courses and their enthusiasm. The app itself is user friendly and aside from taking a sec to load, it's really functional. I can easily find what I need, follow my courses and mark my progress. It's great that I can cast the videos on TV. Loving the additional resources. I made a mistake by rushing and not reading that it was a yearly subscription - but I canceled it on time. And contacted Domestika and they offered me a refund if I got charged. (I didn't).All good!

This is a review of the app itself, not necessarily the content. I cannot find a way to bookmark classes. Even though there seems to be a function to make lists you can't add classes to the list. So unless it's a class that you subscribe to, you have to search for it every time. In addition on tablets, it only works in portrait mode, you cannot turn to landscape mode for full screen.

I have tried to update app, clear the cache, uninstall and reinstall the app, log in/out and it's not working. What else should I do to make this app to work. I can select nor play anything after viewing a course. It's been like 3 wks like that. So annoying. Terrible, just terrible!!!!

Absolutely wonderful testing. Program is easy to use and translations to English are perfect. I have had zero issues. I would recommend to Domestika however, to have English documents. My course has 5 documents all in Spanish that I won't be able to enjoy and use. This needs a change. I highly recommend it.

I like the length of videos and lessons. I feel like the creative courses I took were planned well and contain information that gets me started with new skills and develops my creativity further. I love learning from and getting to know the best illustratirs and designers from around the world :)

Great selection of craft & career courses. Most classes are in Spanish but the subtitles are pretty good/context clues are easy. I've taken a handful of 'content for Instagram' type courses and some on miniature sewing and have loved everything so far! The classes have been fun and challenging without being overwhelming. The classes aren't really interactive, although you are prompted to share your progress in class threads, so you never have to worry about falling behind a class

It's easy to search for Plus classes that I want to take and new courses I might want to buy. the only thing that I wish they had on it in the bookmark section. You have to open it up and look at it. I have a lot of classes and I'm interested in trying. I found some of their classes were completely wonderful and I've learned a ton. But I've also had a few flops that had looked promising. I like being able to try it on plus before I decide if I want to buy it or not.

Domestika is a great learning platform for the arts! It is one of my favorite way to learn art so far and the app is very user friendly. The only point of improvement is posting via the app is a little confusing to me as it looks different from the website! Aside from that, 10/10 great instructors, courses, GREAT prices and sales and nice app!

I feel really bad as I love the app and it's content. Beats Udemy by an order of magnitude BUT I got robbed on my course purchase. I have ordered a course but it does not show in my courses. There is no support. Submitted a ticket and they just sent me an automated message pointing to some wiki. Apparently they don't know how to manage accounts. If you can't properly handle people money what's the point of having great content? Really pissed off as I cannot buy any more courses.

I actually love this app. I love the courses, I love the flow of each course. the only thing that bothers me is that they do the "It's 75% off!" thing, but none of the courses are ever full price. Just say the courses are $15, don't try to get people to think it's a great deal... because it IS a great deal. You don't need to pull one over on people. That being said, I have thought that every course has been worth the money, and I've done probably 7of them now? The app and offering are great.

It's a great app. Some English subtitled courses could use some work (one Spanish language SVG/animation course had unnecessarily confusing interpretations in a fairly complex subject). I would LOVE the option to download 1. all videos, 2. all digital written materials, 3. both. When I had limited time before joining a flight, it took much longer to download and select the next video repeatedly. That said, meant of these courses are really wonderful and the content and presenters are great.

Domestika provides a wide variety of great courses taught by experts in their respective field. Despite any language barriers, the courses are accessible with captions and translations that make it easy to feel as though you are participating with other users in a coherent way. The technical side of the app itself is quite solid with only minimal bugs and crashes. I recommend it to anyone willing to learn a new skill without breaking their budget.

Ok.. I absolutely LOVE the instructors and thee courses are amazing and so diverse and really there is something for anyone. The one thing that bothers me is that (like a couple of other apps like this) you pay a (for me) big yearly chunk of money to use the app and then when you think you're in and ready to go, the courses each cost between around $10 to $20. I really do enjoy the courses, so much so, I have a list of them that keeps growing and I'm not finished with any of them yet! I love it.

The classes on domestika are great. Definitely have to get them on sale, as the original prices are way overpriced, since you can really find all this information on YouTube for free. I do, however, like the convenience of having all my craft learning videos in one place. The lessons are broken up into short videos, so I can quickly watch one when I have a spare moment. Of course, this only works when the app works, which is rarely. You can download them, with forethought, one video at a time.

I'm not letting the fact that some lessons are subtitle only influence the review at all but it should be noted that some are. as a learning platform that provides direct lessons from numerous creators giving you insight into their process, this is a fantastic platform. it also provides a chance to earn credits like with audible at an affordable monthly subscription. for those who can't afford skillshare and find udemy cumbersome, Domestika is the BEST alternative, and it is my go-to.

See edit at end. I LOVE domestika's courses. This review is strictly about the app's functionality. Installed the app to use it w/ chromecast. If I play lesson 2 on my phone, I see video for lesson 2. But if I cast that same video to my TV, it jumps ahead to lesson 4. No matter how many times I stop casting, close app and start again, it jumps ahead to other lessons. *DEVELOPER: as I said in my original review, I'm already running the latest version. It DOESN'T fix the problem. Uninstalled app.

App is useless for + Members who have to pay for classes labeled as New + Courses in the app when you can watch the same classes free online web. They need to sync! Something else that needs a LOT of work is the translations that are offered across both platforms (app and web). Some are really good where the teachers actually offer a dubbed version. But most of them don't make any sense at all. Very frustrating!

I purchase classes all the time and have the freedom to control when I start and when I stop. This is key for me, especially when I can pause and pick up where I left off. The art instructors are great artists and I've had no problems with the classes. The quality of the videos are amazing as well. I am very picky and went in with a high standard, these classes exceeded my expectations! Please continue to bring us great context and quality. You are doing a great job!!

Scam: unexpected 100+ dollars charge. They added a supposedly free subscription to my cart without my request and charged me for over 100 dollars after two weeks. The original receipt never disclosed this amount. They refused to refund me even if I submitted claims and never used the service. I enjoyed the few individual courses I took, but the company's predatory move made me frustrated and disappointed.

I've experienced same like most users had, where they were charged 100 dollars instead 5.99. I decided to keep the subscription since it was difficult to get a refund. Now I can't even use the app after a recent update, I entered the app and it gave me a pop-up window stating that I need to update. But after updating it still shows the same message and I am unable to click a course or lesson, please fix!!
