As an audiobook user, this is Painful to use! There so many improvements needed! Voice speed only changes by 15%, that is too much, just let us adjust the way we like it. i.e depending on the narrator, for me only a 5-10% adjustment is needed. Add book cover. Please label and divide chapters properly, it's a mess, especially for diversability users! I can't make titles go away, I remove them and they keep coming back. I honestly wish Cela used Libby. Also needs to work with Android Auto.

Play button is 50% non functional. The book marker doesn't always work. The help doesn't seem to have any listings for my issue withe the play button not working. I have rebooted both phone and app. Made sure my app is up to date and still nothing works. You can listen to things if the play button doesn't work. What do I like: it free and when it works it's great.

Since the update, you can no longer rewind easily, nor can you tell where you are in a chapter or book.

I could not get this to work originally on Android devices but after it was updated I reinstalled it. now appears to have had most of the bugs ironed out. Some books load. in seconds others can take 10 minutes or more. I've persevered with this app but most of the books I want to read download easily from RNIB reading services but try as I might when I try to read them they won't open. For instance Author Derek Landy, Skullduggery Pleasant series most won't open but will open on the KOTA app.

Would love to hear a sample of the voices before I pay 8.99 for one that I am not happy with. Also is there a way to highlight just one word to be read that would be very helpful for my child. I know that you can double click the word and it will say it but if you you double click that word and it would only highlight that word that would be visually helpful.

Bookmarks on audiobook don't work - only allows three and often doesn't save properly. It titles them a % of what you have read but that doesn't match up with the % read in the book information. After listening to the same section multiple times because of this I gave up and uninstalled it. There is no night mode or dark mode which is essential for visually impaired people. The app keeps the screen on while playing, I couldn't find an option to turn this off and this uses a lot of battery.

In my opinion, this is not a good app. When I try to listen to a book, it says ''loading book''. When it stops, I can only read that book by using the narrow notification bar at the top of the screen, the actual full page with controls at the bottom is inoperative. I have contacted Dolphin who replied asking for more info. I did that but have not had any response. The app still doesn't work. I see others have had the same problem. Why on earth didn't RNIB enlist a programmer to make their own app? or insist that Dolphin sort their app out.

Hey y'all. It was a few days back when I found Dolphin Easy Reader. With this App, my long-standing hunt for a decent reading App has come to stop. On top of its rich features including ones like easy navigation between sentences, pages, headings and different time intervals, adding bookmarks, adjusting font size, text colors and many more, the fact that its completely free makes it even more worth downloading.

please improve the app because when I open the first time it takes a lot of time I have a good internet connection and Wi-Fi connection both are working well

doesn't save your place anymore after an update. they still haven't fixed it. difficult to use for an accessibility device, they just want to sell you things

Many many many bugs that I can't even really get assistance with because they prioritize assisting those who have premium. The email they provide in response to reviews doesn't work either.

ultimate software for visually impaired person to read books

Works fine for me as a visually impaired user to read my existing ePub books aloud. The free voice is bearable, however, with the premium voices priced at £6.99 each, it would be good if there was a preview paragraph read by each to help pick one to buy. The lexicon editor is great, especially for more technical books. I also line the option to add notes to my bookmarks, it would be nice if these could be synced between phone and PC, e.g. via Microsoft OneDrive integration.

Not great. The speed adjustment is in large increments - going up one level makes it extremely fast, down one level extremely slow. The app often forgets where I left off and starts me at the beginning when I return to my book. When I bookmark it doesn't always get the right spot, so now I take a screenshot and manually find the spot where I left off. I only use this app because as far as I know it is the only one that works with cela library. If I can find another that does I'll switch.

Dreadful. Full of bugs. Much worse than the old app. Doesn't remember where you are in the book, forward and reverse don't work and has crashed and then loaded a book already returned. It's a nightmare.

Used to work great and have been a regular user for years but now requires you to pay £41 a year if you want to read more than 10 books total ever. Would not recommend Edit in response to the developer reply: I am not affiliated with a library, I am saying the app limits you to only being able to import 10 books of your own, which is genuinely ridiculous

I have used this App for the past couple of years for RNIB books, on my Android phone. Bookmark used to work, but then stopped, always starting from the beginning of the book, which is very frustrating! Now I can't read anything! It allows me to download books, but the App closes every time I click to read. I have uninstall Ed and installed the App a number of times to see if this helps. It will work for first reading and then revert to closing again. Feeling desperate!

It is very frustrating to find the book always reverts to Chapter 1. Every morning I find myself scrolling through chapters to find my place and having to listen to chapters again over and over to find it. The bookmark function makes no difference as there is no option to 'Go to last Bookmark'. This is destroying the listening experience- how terrible for Authors who donate their books. There's something wrong with the App.
