Can't get past the birthdate. You have to enter your birthdate, which is fine. Except you have to click through every single month of every year starting from 1970. Then after entering your info, it kept telling me to enter a valid year. I'll never know how good this app is bc it's too damn frustrating getting through the first page.

Just got this and so far I like it, had a little trouble at first figuring out how to start the session. I have a suggestion. I would rather be able to put in food when I eat it rather than a daily estimate. I figured I could just enter the daily food ingested as a supplement but it would be nice to have an option to label it as a food rather than a supplement.

I like it, but it needs a stopwatch-type function on the timer: one tap to start a session and manually stop it when I'm done instead of having to set a target at the beginning of the session. Skin exposed and overcast info could also be added at the end to streamline getting outside in the first place. I'd also LOVE to see a WearOS companion app that lets me log sessions without bringing my phone outside. Bug: timer won't sound if screen is off or if I'm using another app at the time.

This app used to work great but lately it is not working. I had a blood test 6/18 of 33 vitamin D and even using the app daily (still recording my sun exposure) of approx 5k iu my estimated level is showing 31. It used to be pretty close to my levels but now it seems like no matter how much sun I get daily it is not raising my estimated level. PLEASE fix!

Great app, a bit clunky in the UI/UX department but still does a great job of tracking your D levels. One important improvement would be allow us to enter dietary sources of Vitamin D. Something simple where we select the food (Salmon) and the weight (400g), and it knows how much IU we've ingested and tracks it for us. Also the ability to temporarily pause the sun session would be great too.

it's hard to handle, and it asked so many questions that I don't really know so maybe put a little bit out there that this app requires you going to the doctor and checking your vitamin d levels and when it comes to the skin tone section that's not completely accurate as well you can be a little more flexible other than that not half bad but I will say it's hard to handle you can't really do much with it like schedule a reminder the go out in the sun or something

Really good app,I use all aspects of it,I like the sun exposure tracking. I used the app for approx 4 months before getting blood test done, app was approx 15 out, which I thought was very impressive considering it didn't have a starting reference point. Would be good if when tracking UV exposure you didn't have to have the app open for alarm to go off. Guess I'll set a separate timer.

An important app that's helpful, yet unintuitive, with poor usability. Since the app has been out for 9 years, that's not acceptable. (app published 2012. Review written end of 2021) It could also be more holistic. E.g. It doesn't mention anything about the best time to take vitamin D supplements, what foods they should be taken with, and whether there's any other relavant nutritional conditions needed to support the levels of production it suggests one is getting.

This used to be a good app and now it sucks. I am no longer able to pause a sun session so if you go for a walk and stop inside can't pause and then resume session again. Really? Also now there are ads and that's super annoying. And don't get me started with the inappropriate ads that show up at the bottom. Do I really want to see women rubbing themselves and lying around naked? No I do not. Are you guys for real? This is a sun monitoring app not a porn site. I'm deleting the app.

This app is a great idea filled with a lot of science. Unfortunately, the UX is God-awful and feels like it was destined by, well, scientists. Main things to improve: 1) There should be a notification when the timer is running so sessions can be quickly stopped or paused. 2) It should pull weather data to determine the overcast level. There's no way I'm going to manually start the app, set the overcast level, my clothing level, and start the timer every single time I go outside.

Nice app but now that it's too cold to go outside it still pops up everyday at solar noon. Had to delete until weather warms up. Can not figure a way to stop notifications. Please fix. Updated my review. fantastic response from developer to customers needs. Please don't delete. No unwanted reminders now. Can't wait till weather warms up enough to use it!

It needs work. It's such a great idea to keep track of your vitamin D, especially if you lack a lot. I can keep track, tells me the best time to go outside and how long to sit out there. However the accuracy reports is low. How does my levels shoot down so low in 7 days despite logging enough? I have taken my blood tests and it's the same. I think the layout needs to be updated too, but it's not too complicated to work with. Sometimes I'm unable to add my history, so makes the accuracy even bad

This app leaves tons to be desired. This app, even the paid version doesn't let you edit any added past entries. I found this out because when I enter in a new daily suppliment value, I find that in succeeding days, it's duplicated and even triplicate. This totally skews the reports, and there's no way to correct it. Then the timer user guide is totally irrelevant to the current version. It doesn't exist at all. Then, there's no way of reporting a bug.

Great app to keep tabs on sun location/strength, vitamin D availability, and timed sun sessions. If you're trying to sync up your circadian rhythm, this is a must-have app. I really appreciate that the free and paid versions are the same except for ads - all of the same info is still there with the free version. Excellent customer service, too. Reported a bug and immediately received a reply back. *Edit - Upgraded to premium as it's only $2, and it's good to support good apps.*

Good app but notifications are constant! I get a notification every few minutes, if the angle of the sun changes, if the window for D is open, if it's closing soon. How soon it's closing, tons of notifications a day now, I used to only get the window opens and solar noon. But it is seriously telling me every single angle change now, it's annoying and I may have to turn all of them off, even though I had wanted the 2 daily reminders! It was a 5 star app until this change.

No longer worka! The idea is good, but needs more support. My sun session is stuck on 7/1/23 for some reason when I never started a session so I can no longer use the app. The app started a session on its own. I cannot save it or cancel it because it has a zero IUs recorded. There is no way to contact support to clear it. Will have to uninstall it and rely on myself to get my Vit D higher

The app is literally the best for tracking vitamin D intake, but it would be even better with the option to manually input UV index during live tracking or for past sessions. I use a UV meter, and its readings often differ slightly from weather forecasts, so having a more accurate input would be helpful. Otherwise, the app works as needed.

I like the design of D minder and what it's supposed to be able to do, to get and measure your vitamin D from sun exposure. I'd rate this app with 5 stars except I can't use the real time sun session thing because the sliders don't seem to work so it won't let me actually start timing a sun session. So I'm forced to log in sun exposure later, which is less accurate. Yes, I looked at the directions for 'start sun session.' Might also be nice to provide a total daily D. I log that into Cronometer.

Good effort but many issues. It doesn't tell you what units to input in height and weight. If feet, doesn't have where to add inches. It gives a birthdate error after entering weight. Fixed by redoing bdate and keep going next. It doesn't adjust to how many minutes left until the ideal window based on the sun altitude I selected. Doesn't let you select other locations. Doesn't let you fiddle with different times to plan ahead. Last app update was over a year ago.

History is wrong and impossible to edit. I am only entering my supplement intake manually. I don't understand why, but there are a bunch of mystery 2000 IU entries in the history that I didn't create. I can't edit or delete them either. It should really be possible to touch-and-hold on an entry to edit or remove it. Will rate 5 stars if this is implemented. Edit: Ah, did not realize it was a swipe that I needed to do. I'm so used to the long-press! Also, I found the auto entries in my settings and changed that to 0. So as promised, 5 stars :)
