I feel like I have to constantly change my rating on this app due to things running smoothly and then not. The fingerprint option is no longer working (again) and a lot of times when I go in to pay it says this service is temporarily unavailable and won't let me. EDIT** Things are working great again. Fingerprint reader and always able to make a payment

Fingerprint doesn't work anymore. Grrr. This has been a problem for months now. Why can't they fix it? Original:They make it easy to do everything you'd want to do in the app, including finding their deals, redeeming cashback bonus, freezing and unfreezing your account, checking on purchases, credits and payments, even setting a travel notice. I didn't realize how great this app was until I started using another card's app.

The layout of the app has improved; enhanced the experience. I feel there should be a way to make immediate payments on a user's account to maximize usage; allowing payments with a debit card so payments can immediately reflect in the balances. Linking a user's bank about should be an option among others to allow for convenient payments. Overall, it's an okay app and does what it says it does, and needs to do, for accounts.

Edit: App updates seem to have improved, as I no longer have issues with the biometric login. App functions the way its designed, so I no longer have any complaints. 7/11/19 The app works to allow me to manage my account, but the fingerprint login is consistently unavailable. As I am often using the phone with one hand while completing my budget, it is inconvenient to have this feature inoperable. This problem just started within the last few weeks. It's quite a nuisance.

Update. App has been revised and issues fixed. Fast, easy, accurate. However FICO score does not work in the app. It is been over a year and discover has not able to fix it. Not sure if Discover is putting the correct amount of focus on their app. I appreciate the security of my funds and transactions. Discover has an excellent website but does not appear to offer an equal app experience.

Simple and convenient way to manage your credit card spending on the go. Overall, this is one of my favorite apps compared to my other credit cards. I like how I can see my YTD spending, simple & secure login, FICO score, and customer support was great at refunding me. The only thing that sucks are the "miles rewards" are not as rewarding. It's a good and bad thing they increased my credit limit often, but that's how they get you.

This used to be the best credit card and credit app out there! Stable, fast, easy to use, and has everything you need, including free credit score check, spending alerts, monitoring, deals, and a lot more. BUT, every update it gets slightly worse. It's no longer super fast and feels too busy and cumbersome. They did finally bring back the fingerprint login, so I'm changing my rating from 3 to 4 stars.

Discover App is the slowest to even get opened. It takes minutes to even show the login page. App doesn't reflect any of account the changes immediately. It's still bearable if slow but it takes days to show anything leading to many confusions. My friends are also facing the same problem with the app. Also, the available credit bar is if no use it stays white all the time regardless of the current available credit. Please improve.

App hasn't worked properly for months, called for tech support. Followed every instruction zero compatibility issues were located. Was told it's my problem even though clearly the problem is the last app update as many users are experiencing the same issues. I decided to go ahead and close my account that I've had for years. They didn't even try to truly resolve it or have any accountability at all. Certainly lost a customer that has always paid on time every time. Better companies around.

Less about the app interface and more about Discover themselves. Literal thieves, prime example. I had a scheduled payment that I canceled ahead of time. It still went through. I told them about, said it was ok. Then I canceled the next one. Guess what, it went through. I've been chatting with them for 5 days now for multiple hours to no avail. Frequent inconsistencies and multiple random drops of assistance out of the blue. Idk if it's incompetence or purposely avoiding actually giving it back.

Over all this app is great, and user friendly! My only issue is that it REQUIRES updating way to frequently, and each time it does, the app takes up more storage space on my device. For someone with limited storage, you'll have to find something to delete or uninstall on your device each time before you can update it, or else it won't work.

had steadily improved and become a pretty good app. recent update removes ability to simply look at a statement. you have to now give discover permission to access photos and gallery. only way to view a statement thru app now is download to your phone. I don't need that info on my phone, don't need it taking up space, don't need it auto uploading to Google photo storage, don't need to mess around deleting that junk after downloading. absurd you can't view discover statements in discover app.

The app overall works decent. Biometric login and quick view seem fine. HOWEVER, the widget has NEVER worked properly for YEARS and has not been fixed. The formatting is off, the dark background has to be repeatedly enabled, half the time it says to enable quick view despite quick view already being enabled, or sometimes it says cannot view this account due to special conditions, please call...but then later it updates. And the larger widget cuts off the value, so it fails its primary purpose.

Most of the time I try to open the app it just shows the Discover logo and never actually loads the login screen. I will wait up to a minute before just using a browser to log in from the website. I would say the app actually goes to the login screen maybe 30% of the time I try it (I have tried reinstalling, checking for updates, and even force stopping the app and none of them fix it).

The app is great unfortunately they're advertising was egregiously misleading. For anyone getting ready to install this app and open up a high-yield savings account you need to read the fine print. They absolutely do require a $500 balance to receive the HY APY even though the upfront advertising says "no minimum balance required". I will be moving to a different high-yield savings account and closing this one. Be sure you scroll all the way to the bottom of their ad and read the fine print.

Deja vu from 3 years ago. Awesome. 🙄 Unable to log in with fingerprint. I select to enable, the toggle switches to on/enabled, then immediately reverts back to off/disabled. This has been an issue for at least 2 years. I know it's not my phone because I'm not the only one with the issue, and fingerprint login works just fine with all of my other apps. Everything else about the app is great! Please give the biometrics some love and address this issue!!

Excellent app. If had to improve a few things, here are suggestions. First, it's notifications. If my thresholds are $0 it means I just want to receive all purchase notifications. You can remove "above threshold" part of the text, it's a waste of space. Second, please make transaction information expandable to see details as it is on the Web app.

Every time they update the app, I need to go hunting for it to place back in the folder on my Android home page. The updates are frequent. My other banks/credit cards never seem to have this issue. It is annoying enough to drop 2 stars (one for it happens, one for the frequency it happens). Other than that, the app works fine.

Have noticed the app is no longer sending notifications to my S23 phone. Have toggled the alerts off and back on again. Also, have checked notification settings on the phone. Everything is set properly. This is obviously is an app issue (perhaps pertaining to this model Samsung phone?). This is a problem that needs to be rectified.

The app would be fine but notifications stopped working. Customer service "temporarily" disabled part of my account settings to "fix" it and no one can seem to put it back. I've tried countless times and each rep just tells me to set up my push notifications for my phone on the web app (common sense is lost...). It makes the app mostly useless because I used it primarily for purchase alerts. Now it's basically a web browser.
