It's ok. The Choose your own path mechanic makes plotting your build out a bit more interesting but after the first chapter I couldn't be bothered to care anymore you've got 4 towers very little resources to upgrade them and when you do sparse options. If you want a free to play tower defense game with all the ads that come with it and need gimmick give this a shot. But if you really want to get invested in a td game I'd recommend just spending a few bucks on balloons tower defense.

Pretty fun but the difficulty scales so steeply that it isn't fun for long. Controls are good except when you're digging, can be easy to highlight a spot instead of continuing your dig. Upgrades are garbage as well as few and far between, stealing any chance at a sense of accomplishment. Enemies get cool unique upgrades while the player is stuck with crappy incremental upgrades, scaling the difficulty even further. All in all, good mechanics executed poorly.

Fun tower defense. Ads are out of the way. Not too difficult but allows for depth in strategy. Edit: I knocked this down to 4 stars due to an enemy that distroys your towers. There is nothing you can do to stop it and all it's there for is to add a level of artificial difficulty. Its not fun, it requires no strategy, and it's frustrating.

I usually wait to review games until I've played awhile. This one's definitely a new twist on the classic tower defense. Very repayable. It's not pay pay to win, you just have to tweak your strategies. This alone speaks to the subtle complexity of this game. Highly recommended if you're into this kind of game. (One downside is that it used to freeze and crash the game sometimes, although I haven't noticed it doing that recently. Maybe a fixed bug?)

I've only played a little but I like it so far because you can create your own path and you can also replay each level once you get the map and it gets a little harder. Another thing is that the enemies aren't on a track like system but there placement varies. The adds arnt a problem since their on the bottom almost unnoticeable. One thing I didn't like is sometimes when you leave the game (press he home button) it makes you restart the level.

Classic tower defense, but with some issues. It's fun, but it feels overly punishing in the wrong ways. The lack of info on waves and stage layout can get you destroyed for being too generally good rather than specialized for the enemies you didn't know about, or being built for the wrong ones. Each stage also needs its own balance of tower number vs upgrades, and you usually don't know if you did it wrong until you're suddenly overrun. Good core gameplay, but with frustrating shortcomings.

Digfender is a pretty cool game. Standard tower defense, but with a little innovation in how you get to choose your path. My only problem with the game is that it's a bit too easy. In the beginning you are learning how it works, and getting introduced to the details takes some time. But then there are 40 levels of the same thing: you beat it in 1 try and then you beat it again for the relic. Then randomly there's a couple hard levels thrown in the mix. But getting all 72 relics did feel good.

The game is amazing, going through levels, getting rewards, skill trees, but the best part: I played for like 2 hours, and got 1 ad, and I'm the one who clicked on it. They seem to only give ads for rewards, not just "hey, you've been playing for 5 seconds, here's an ad" I love it so much, I came to Google play to leave my first app review (after I said not to ask me to review the game lol) the game is great, would highly recommend to friends of any age. Edit: I did of course have an ad banner, but those don't bother me in portrait apps, since they don't take up space, I meant a video ad

This game combines the elements I love from many different mobile games. The 3 star completion with the added treasure map/relic is a nice dimension. I'm a sucker for the upgrade systems and this one has a clear path and allows you to upgrade based on your game play style. The relic system certainly improves the replay value. Loving it so far! Playing on a Note9.

I usually just skip this part, but I am actually impressed. I dig this game. its challenging and fun and addictive to a point. I spent the 4.99 on double diamonds and no ads, that being said the ads are just banner ads. they aren't the typical annoying ads. this game doesnt have the pay to win feel that most games have now. Major props to creators of this game and I look forward to finishing it and seeing new updates.

Very clean design, enjoyable game. No excessive Ads which is a HUGE plus. Worth spending money on just to send some love the developers way. Gave it 2 stars because of the enemy "Guardian". It destroys towers. Not just one but was able to get 4 of my towers before I could kill it. When 2 of them come through they destroy most of my towers. You lose all XP and all upgrades. Totally and completely out of balance and not a fun enemy. They should disable a tower, or set the XP back one level.

Really enjoyed this game. I like that you get to create your own path for the enemies, giving you a chance to play smart and try different strategies on each level. Levels are fair and challenging with a steadily increasing difficulty. Upgrades feel meaningful. I beat the entire game without paying, then chose to buy some things to support the developer.

PROGRAM BUG! When upgrading a tower, you need to tap the screen 3 times: once on the tower, and twice adjacent. Well, 30% of the time, when you tap adjacent to the tower, the program determines you'd like to place a new tower on the adjacent cell. Now you've got to start over to upgrade, requiring 6 or more screen taps to succeed, very annoying - especially when attempting to stem an onslaught. Also occurs when mining. If in upgrade mode, then assume that's wanted when adjacent cell is tapped

Very good game. They've done a great job combining the two genres, mining and tower defense. I really like the ability to attach / unattach and re-use upgrades as needed. Would be nice to have an in-game cash system to purchase extra buffs. Currently there is no need for "grinding" to earn cash on easier levels. The upgrades are so great, but there's no incentive to replay levels with those new powerups.

Great game with a strong difficultly curve which is perfect for a satisfying accomplishments after each level is completed. Tower system rewards smart layouts and strategies. Microtransactions are completely optional and are no way needed to complete the game normally. Only problem is the secret levels at the end are insanely hard, don't feel worth completing.

alright, I do like this game very much. but I find your guys survival mode very frustrating because literally unless I have 3 upgraded electro towers (including the 4th upgrades) you can not get past wave seven. After that you dont have enough time to get defenses out when the electric enemy's come out (they take no damage from electro towers, and I think they come wave 8 or 10?).

Very good tower defense game with all the core elements I want in a TD game and a few cool unique features. I appreciate that it isn't a pay to win game, nor is it overloaded with ads. There is a small ad at the bottom of the screen that is minimally intrusive. Only halfway through the stages, but kudos to the developer! I docked 1 star because the tower destroying enemies towards the end are annoying and not fun.

Awesome take on the tower defense genre. Designing your own path adds a whole other element to the challenge, and it's handled very well in this game. Digfender is 100% playable without purchases. Adds are unobtrusive and mechanics are solid. I'd love to see a bit more varity added tower-wise, either a new type or new branches for upgrades, but I'm abput halfway through and it's keeping me hooked. Definitely keeping an eye on Mugshot Games from now on.

Reasonably solid tower defense game. Two critiques. One:"survival mode" has enemies the can and will destroy your towers quiet rapidly, which breaks the dynamic of an otherwise solid game and encourages in-app purchases. I only play campaign mode as a result. Two: you can't set towers to attack enemies based on attribute, such as low health or first/last, despite some towers having bonus for low health enemies.

Neat take on the Tower Defense. Very fun and addicting. I have two major complaints. The ads at the bottom of the screen cover up some of the user interface. I can't tell how many gems things cost because the ads are too big. Secondly, some of the enemies are ridiculously overpowered. Some of the enemies destroy your Towers when they get injured. This can literally wipe out 90% of your towers as those creatures move up the screen until you kill them. This ends the game since you have no more.
