More About Dicey Elementalist

Inspired by a popular dice game called Yahtzee.
- Five dice are rolled three times, keep the best score.

On this basis.
Add some deck building
Add some random variables (Rogue-lite)
Add some unique heroes
Add some different game mechanics
And...Here it comes! The Dice Master!

THE RULE IS SIMPLE
Light up the elements of a card required to play, bingo!
If you can't light the card, the card will be unusable = useless!
So
Be sure to build your deck reasonably well with your "brilliant strategic"!

It's fine. Pros: Cool art, not many ads, lots of hours to log for a free game. Cons: It's Dicey Dungeons but worse. If you like the idea, but want a game that's more charming, memorable, and fair, go check that out on your choice of system. Dicey Elementalist has more toys but feels busted. Status effects badly borrowed from Dicey Dungeons are useless halfway through bc of power creep, and dice rolls are genuinely skewed away from the elements you utilize. I'd say more, but word count. 3/5 game.

This game mechanically is a cut above the rest. It isn't just one of those copy pasted ideas passed around between mobile games and it's a really engaging experience. The problem? Forced ads. I would invest in the game, buy characters, watch optional ads, and recommend this wholeheartedly if it weren't for forced, unskippable ads. Please let the game speak for itself before forcing unfriendly monetization options. This is a good game, let it sell itself

Great game that unlocks more depth and functions as you progress. Free to start, but have to pay for new characters, ad free, increased rewards, etc. Everything thats out minus the packs of items you get from playing naturally can be purchased for less than $15 and the free character and 1 unlockable character still have plenty of depth to keep you occupied. Ads arent intrusive (being banners or vids that play to give you rewards). Lots of dice mini games too.

Very steep learning curve, but very enjoyable once you unlock more cards and artifacts. I do wish the unlocking mechanics were more obvious - it took forever to unlock Endless and Custom modes, which was really irritating. EDIT: Dropped a star when I installed this game on my new phone and did not see a "Restore Purchases" button anywhere.

Pretty enjoyable dice game! …usability suffers as text can be very hard to read sometimes. Slightly bigger text would help and please don't make element-type text a different color (maybe give it a border). I can't see battle-status text above the player and below the enemy when it's color is too close to the background's color (maybe give it a black stroke). I found a bug when battling the Crystal Shoe: after ≈10–15 turns I end up losing all my cards. Winning becomes impossible. Please fix!

kinda fun, ok graphics, mechanics are pretty cool and dev has put a lot more time into stuff than other cash grab companies. what really stands out to me is the ridiculous amount of ads. every 90-120 seconds I'm hitting an unskippable ad for rewards or something that lasts 30 sec. Way too much. Dial them back and it's an easy 4.5 to 5 stars. I'd be willing to pay a couple bucks for it without ads too. Maybe I missed it but even still too many for free.

Terrible balance. There are fights that are literally unwinnable because of awful balance on enemy mechanics. This isn't late game either, these fights happen on the first level of the game. Enemies that will heal to full health and gain enough armor to block all of your attacks, etc. I got to the first boss (on the first level) and after 30 minutes (yeah) of playing every card in hand, passing turn, and then having the boss heal to full, I was done. Cool concept, but *really* awful balance.

I'm glad I downloaded this game. it's been very enjoyable to play. My only gripe is the issue with the fairy wheel, where you can't load an ad to get another spin. Also the problem with the daily reward that kicks you out of the ad occasionally so you don't get the reward, and the issue with growth bundle. Says I own it and I can't purchase it. I keep getting a refund from Google every time I try.

feels a lot like dicey dungeons, which is also a very good game. however, dicey elementalist has a very different style which makes it so worth playing. love it! can't complain about the other characters costing money cause this game took a lot of effort. they deserve to get paid for their efforts. monster design is super funky, almost gross at times, but always creative. yeah i don't know what else to say. definitely a good find.

I'm really enjoying this game so far. Not a horrendous amount of ads (thank you so much), but also does give some incentive to watch a couple. Though it also has a cap on how many you can watch a day, which I appreciate. Gameplay is fun and engaging, and the different characters you can play as are unique to their own. Tons of trinkets you pick up along the way reset each play through, so it's never the same game twice. Plenty of challenge and luck, I've spent hours with it, no regrets.

Would give it five, but today when I loaded the game, all I see are ads or chances to watch ads for bonuses. I've already bought the extra characters with real money, why am I getting so many ads? Seems like a strong money grab. "The Greedy" is an apt name for one of the characters. The sad part is, gameplay is amazing. It just gets drowned in ads. While they're optional, it takes away from the experience.

Been playing on and off for a long time as a F2p. Fun game. There is a small ads banner at the bottom of the running full time, but it wasn't intrusive. Full screen ads used to be optional for bonus. Unfortunately, after the March 2024 update, this is no longer the case. Small banner ads still the same (no problem with that). But while full screen unskippable ads use to be optional that only occurs if you want the bonus, there are now full screen ads in between room.

EDIT: The addition of forced ads, and lack of a new character in a year, forced me to drop this from a 4 to a 2. I plan to uninstall it today due to it becoming unplayable. I'm sad about it but oh well. -------- Very fun game. Wish I had more of the main game to play. I finished all the characters and villains, so now I'm just playing bonus vontent

I like this game a lot. I've purchased all the characters and done hundreds of runs. However the latest update has brought with it some of the worst ads I've ever seen. The full-screen ads that either take a full minute to play out or require you to tap 3 times to close them were not in the game before. On top of that, while playing I have more than once been interrupted by a SCAM AMAZON WEBSITE trying to steal information. Absolutely unacceptable and a detriment to an otherwise fun game.

It is a very good and well polished game. My only complaint is that you can't unlock characters without paying. I would be fine with playing the game to unlock the characters with gems or whatever, but after beating all the difficulties on just two characters, it gets boring.

The game is fun, art is fantastic. The type of ads are beyond annoying. Often continue much longer after timer ends and require closing 3 or more menus to actually get back to the game. A lot of perks do feel worth the adtime, but not the kinds that open the play store or require so many clicks to get back to the game.

Update:THE TREATY RING ARTIFACT DOESN'T WORK. I really like this game, there are so many different strategies you can take. I've even spent a few dollars on it, and I rarely spend money on games. Ads are optional and the rewards are worth the 30 seconds, but it isn't pay to win.

I have so much fun playing this game. There's a lot of content, and it has a fun personalized touch. Unfortunately, there are tons of bugs with artifacts not working properly, cards not working as intended or written and numerous simple typos that should take 5 seconds to fix. I assume these issues don't get fixed in part because there's no big report feature in the app. Additionally, the monetization model for this app is discouraging. Price point is too high for ad-free.

Additional update: developer has attempted to resolve the issue according to the latest release. Unfortunately, it looks like my cloud game is permanently gone. I'd be happy to just get the unlocks I paid for back. Game is enjoyable, I'd play it again. Somehow, all of my progress and unlocks are gone with the latest updates. Trying to pull my data from the cloud just freezes the game. Very disappointing to have spent money and no longer have access to items I purchased.

I gave the game another shot and upped to two stars. The game is fun. That's why it doesn't get one star. But they still have obnoxiously long ads and force an ad for their $35 upgrade every time you open the game even if you buy other premium parts of the game. No, devs, I'm not interested in paying for the same thing twice. I gave money to support you, but I regret it after getting this pop up every time I open the game. Be better. You don't need to be predatory with a good, solid game.
