Could've been better, in my opinion. Models/animations look weird at times. The gotcha system isn't unusual, but it's on the pricier side of things. In general, if you want to experience playing Devil May Cry, you're better off buying the games themselves instead of spending the same amount on trying to pull for a character/item.

Game is constantly trying to download a crazy amount of gb for no reason, had it multiple times now to where it said that it was trying to download the extra content in over 10 different notifications at the same time. Funny thing is, i have not even launched the game at all yet. This seems very malicious, and at the very least programmed extremely wrong.

Damn it hurts to leave 1 start for a DMC game, especially when it has potential to be good. Aggressive push for micro-transactions, the "pizza" system completely halts progress, as you can barely finish a few encounters per day in story mode and the combat has been downgraded to a Genshin clone instead of keeping it as close to DMC as possible. The devs do not seem to be taking feedback into account, even tho people are constantly providing it. Hopefully one day I'll edit this and leave 5 stars.

Meh, it seems like some characters are only unlockable via microtransactions (I've only seen Vergil paywalled for now). I've played through the first mission and the combat is too simplified and not fun. I'll just go back to playing DMC 5. Also, why can't Dante shoot? And who the hell put the melee attack on X instead of Y like in all other games? Oh yea, you can play this game with a controller too. I used an Xbox controller, but I'm sure it works with any controller that you can connect.

Honestly a shame. Nice graphics, ok story, lives up to it's name for peak of combat, there isn't any game in playstore rn with basic combat as intuitive, fluid and fun. Sadly that's the end of the major appeal right now. Prices are way too expensive, rewards for a new game and for beginners, are rather underwhelming and stamina block within first hour of playing?...red flags for yet another extremely greedy company determined to ruin a game with excellent potential.

I love DMC as a series, but this mobile game is absolutely pay to win, which takes a lot of the fun out of it. I don't know how long the game will last. Grinding to summon isn't a problem, but it is a problem when it takes forever to get crystals for a summoning, and the game play is very repetitive. At most, I'll probably just play for the story and then not play it again unless they change it up and it sucks because the different costumes are really cool.

Could've been something special. Look you changed the combat system, extremely regrettable but fine. The main problem comes from all the trimmings of a "mobile" game. There are 800 menus, 400 penny bonuses, 9000 currencies, 20 different ways to level up, worst of all in a action game such as this you are HARD stopped by not engaging with the level systems, straight up you will take HUGE damage and do less than none. Its sad. Youd do much better just selling a complete product. Theres a market.

This review is coming from someone who does not play mobile games in any capacity, just for some context. It's just terrible. What even is this game's plot? It's so all over the place, with redesigned characters and bosses (of which the redesigns are actually solid) arriving out of thin air with no context or agency just to tickle your nostalgia fix. Also, why am I upgrading damage? Things die so fast I can't even do fun combos. That was the only reason I wanted to try this at all.

**Updated rating based on changes that addressed most of the below concerns. It is still tedious, and the random forced manual play is confusing.** The actual game is great, but you can only play for a short time before you run into pay walls. You get about 30 minutes of free play a day, and if you want to progress at all, you have to buy energy packs. Recruiting is tedious. You get 99% the same low-end gear and characters, and it costs a ridiculous amount.

It's a really great game with huge drawbacks. The combat is amazing as is the artwork. The stamina and needing to manual everything is just so tedious. I understand wanting manual play, but when you have an endless content mode, dude, switch on auto. This game takes way too much time. So I'll pop back in whenever they enable auto play on the content where it makes sense.

Im a huge devil may cry buff so some of the things i might point out might come off as unfair but so far what i like about it is the art style. The gameplay is surprisingly decent. I was curious how the combat system was going to be since each character has a pretty large skillset. The animation and voice acting of dante could be much better. Everyone else "feels" like themselves, dante behaves and sounds like someone pretending to be dante. Could be just me. Linear and empty level design.

Co-op is a mess. The levels are empty and linear. There is some vague gacha system in place, but the rates are garbage. Equipping weapons and cards is possibly the most confusing part of the game. The energy system is the worst aspect. It makes completing a single level tedious and unnecessarily long. Nice graphics, but nothing to justify the myriad issues of the game.

Got a lot of in game issues. Controls, camera angles, very poor dialogs. But! A DMC port isn't going to be an easy thing in the first place due to it's high octane, action gameplay. That being said, it definitely needs refinement, and more characters from the franchise. We get Lady but not Trish? No Sparda? No Lucia? Overall it's an enjoyable experience for people who just love DMC and are willing to overlook gameplay issues involving said issues.

Peak of Combat can feel decent for the first few days of playing, but eventually it just becomes a repetitive grindy game that gets more and more uninteresting as you level up. Not to mention the obnoxious monetary adverts. I will say that the environments have a surprising amount of detail, but are ultimately not that engaging. Overall, the game feels like a mockery of what it's based off of, especially after you go and search what the 1.0 version of the combat looked like. Go play DMC 3 & 5

as a DMC fan who's played them all except 2, this game is not bad. there's a good amount of stuff to do though it gets a little repetitive. graphics are fine although lady looks attrocious. my biggest issue is just the summon rates and how expensive this game is. expensive 10-20$ packs only get you 10 summons...even the "free" events will cost you money at some point. When they make the game cheaper and fix the bugs I'll be glad to raise my rating.

Game is a buggy mess. Multiple bosses bug out of the arena, or the forced lock on mechanic stops working. Avoid fists of salvation as a lineup option, qte rarely works. The worst part is, instead of fixing the buggy mess that things have become, the only things pushed is more content instead of fixing the broken parts of the game.

Unable to play. I had the beta and it worked just fine and right after full launch the game worked just fine. I recently tried to play and the updates completely froze. I hit the button at the top and it nothing. I deleted several times and tried to update and it's stuck and won't download. I have a newer phone (Galaxy S23+) so I don't think it's the phone. I'd give it a 5 star easily if it worked.

Played since the beta, but this game is trash: heavy pay-to-win, poorly optimized, and after a certain update, I haven't been able to launch it since, even after upgrading to an S24 Ultra. It just won't run. And even after launching prior, it ran poorly regardless of settings or service. as of 6-3-24 still no change. Game will not download needed resources to launch.

The game requires stamina for each combat sequence, which can limit progress for those who prefer not to make in-game purchases. The gameplay experience may not appeal to everyone, and personally, I find it to be average. It’s surprising to see the game’s high ranking, as my experience with stamina requirements was noticeable even in the early stages. I’m concerned this could be more pronounced later in the game. In summary: the game seems to lean towards a pay-to-win model +stamina limitations.

Possibly the best game I have ever seen on Android. It looks and plays like DMC4 and the music is awesome. "Pay to win" is definitely a bummer. Can't progress without stamina and it seems like sooner or later you're gonna have to pay. Why can't we earn stamina by watching videos or completing tasks? This way you are presented with an option. You can move forward faster by paying or watch 100 videos 😉 As long as the game can eventually be completed without having to pay for it.
