Really like the app. Has some good exercises, point system, and support a bunch of languages. However the experience on external keyboard not that good though. * Edited: Experience using external keyboard was actually affected by virtual keyboard that used by the phone. In my case, when I changed to other virtual keyboard (eg: Hacker's Keyboard), the experience was superb. Wish I can give more than 5 stars.

Work's great if you need to code on the go. Support like about 6 other languages like java, c++ and python. It those take some getting used to because your using your cell phone keyboard. What's nice about it for example, when your using () both of them appear with the cursor already inside. That's the same for curvy braces or anything of that nature. And they provide a toolbar-like on the screen containing some of the commonly use symbols( ^, =, %, >, < etc. )

After trying this app... I was unable to get past the sign in screen. Yes that's right it has a sign in. I will NOT be creating an account for a text editor. Poorly done! I have storage via SD card. Terrible design. I wish i could rate it 0 stars. But atleast the rating process has provided some entertainment.

It's great except for the fact that (1) it's hard to scroll horizontally because it is sensitive to a small vertical component of scrolling which makes it start scrolling vertically, and then it becomes locked in a vertical scroll, insensitive to any horizontal component; (2) it doesn't have multi-line tabbing; (3) even after successfully scrolling to the right, it snaps back to the left. I have to use Acode text editor and then copy into the Dcoder compiler for these reasons.

I tried importing css files from local storage using the home screen and it is not showing in the file manager for me to choose them. As for the php , the options in setting are enabled but when I sync locally to save; it save with some additional characters which is not seen in the code, but is seen by the browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). I had to write over the code using another application which is working correctly in the web browsers. Please fix these issues.

Great IDE for mobile use. It has a simple and user friendly layout and plenty of programming languages available. It does contain ads but not overly disruptive. So far I've been using it to work on html and java script I really like that it is a mobile app and I can use it as a web based ide on my laptop as well.

Besides the only thing I like about this coding app, which is files that can be created within folders, I really dislike this app. I am a Python beginner, and so I would have to switch back & forth to do things. The app layout looks very clunky and hard to navigate. My most negative thought on this app is how very poorly optimized it is. The app is very poorly optimized that doing it multiple times will corrupt your entire, thus you have to start over again. This app needs a ton of improvements.

Second-year CS student here. This app is the BEST Java IDE I've come across in the Play store; it supports many languages, but I've only used Java and C++. My favorite parts are the keyboard it comes with & the coding challenges, ranging from easy (loops, conditionals etc) to... well, I haven't gotten there yet, lol. Really enjoy using this app to sharpen my coding & problem-solving skills while school's out 😁 thanks to whoever made this and thanks for making the free version so functional!!

I love this app! There are many times I want code something to "try out" an idea, and going to my computer is a lot of work at times. This app is so easy to use, and provides great results for some quick work. I understand this isn't a full blown IDE, but it would be nice to trap and view variable values. Including header files and other cpp files would also be nice, but again not necessary since this is for quick fun!

Beware Updates. Great app. But every time they make a major update all of my saved files disappear and monetization attempts become just a little bit more prevelant with each update as well. Good for practice but this issues make it unreliable for long term projects. With this last update I seem unable to create directories which breaks the app. Going to move on I think.

If an application introduces push notifications (which they should not for ads), it should default to 'off' for existing users. That aside, the application works, basically. It's not a great development experience, but it works. As much as anything else this is a limitation of the input methods (on screen keyboards with autocorrect suck). Perhaps the application could offer an OSK variant with arrows in addition to the parenthesis one? Lastly, no external library support that I can see.

I really love the idea; such a small install, such huge language variety and easy compilation. But the fact that you upload your code to their servers where you have no immediate idea where it's going has concerns. You certainly wouldn't upload art as an artist to anyone's servers in this context. It allows for too great of a possibility of someone taking your code and using it for themselves or the like. I would need to see some extremely specific laws/regulations before I could begin being comfortable with this. Other than that the app is fantastic.

Great, full-featured app, but if I can't easily scroll the screen left and right, it's not much value to me. Fix that, and I would likely change this review to five stars, after further attempts to use this app. The login nag screen at startup is also a nuisance, since that's likely just a way for apps to try to get your personal information, so they can sell it or spam you or whatever. But at least there is an option to skip it.

This is a fantastic app! Compared to desktop IDEs, this one does lack some power, but I think that is to be expected. It does not support multi file projects, and cannot compile/run offline. You also will not get much real time help as you're writing code. But it is very useful for working on projects on the go, and the algorithm challenges are quite addictive.

The app is a lifesaver for coders on the go. It's user friendly and secure, with the option to keep files private. Sure, it can be a bit tricky to view code while writing it, but I just type my code in a notes app first and paste it into the app problem solved! Like who needs a desktop, when you have fat fingers and a small screen to get the job done? 😂 Take your time to get familiar with the app's interface it's worth it! I highly recommend!

Original: Overall very positive but it just ate a few hours of work and I don't know what happened. I plugged my phone in, came back, and it was back to a previous version from a few hours ago. Update: my phone just went from regular mode to power saver mode and it happened again, so I think last time it went from power saver to regular. Something about the switch makes it load old saves even if you've saved more recently. Please fix.

Just say NO to pop-up ads. Seriously. How is anyone supposed to get any kind of work done, let alone school work, if an advertisement pops up while you are typing!!?! The IDE experience, other than that, wasn't too bad. I think they could add some refinements to how autocorrection, spacing, and bracket deletion works. Overall: the presence of pop-up ads were a serious deal-breaker for me.

This is a great app for quick coding on the go. It can do basic outputs to the console. I have seen some apps (like pythonista for the iphone) where you can create working apps that run on your phone: a timer, a brick breaker game, etc. this does not have those capabilities to my knowledge. Also the input on this is terrible. You ask for input and it won't display your input message, it simply has you put in your input before you run. I have subscribed to this app but the input needs to change.

Beautiful mobile app with companion web app for desktop use provides a great way to learn and practice any popular programming language! It's simple and easy to use, but has everything you need to write, run, and debug programs no matter where you are. For example, you can start coding a new idea on your phone, share it with your Google Drive, and then continue coding on your desktop. You can remove the ads from the mobile app with a very affordable $1/month subscription, which is well worth it!

It's a neat idea. It's like a social network of coding on your phone. It's very slow, however, and you'll find yourself getting tired of waiting on everything. It doesn't seem to do much caching and every time you switch to a new file or project you've already visited, it feels like it's downloading it anew. The builds are also super slow and can't seem to run in the background of you want to use other apps. They have a paid tier which speeds up builds, but seems like it will still be slow.
