This is a wonderful very useful app for train and subway travel in Germany. I was able to buy train tickets and subway tickets, so could walk out of apartment in Düsseldorf, get on subway, to train station, take train to Cologne, and Bonn, and then use transit in my destination city to get to where I was going. Super-convenient!

Wow. Where to start. Trains are overbooked and dirty. No one else had tickets so why did I spend $150 on one with upgrades just to miss the train bc of mean Germans and delays. Spend the extra money and fly or drive or just don't come to Germany. The only good thing about it is the sightseeing and even those are dirty and overcrowded at all times. This app sucks. German train system sucks. 0 stars. New York subway are better and that's saying a lot.

The app is no replacement for real people selling tickets. It works well for a standard ticket of a single traveler going from a to b. Add a kid and one bike when you travel with two persons and he app automatically charges for two bikes if an ICE is involved on route. The app might show you the full price, but then the bike ticket never shows as booked. At which point you end up with being charged a penalty. Overall a bad experience if extra services are required.

Automatically almost to the minute update with status for train, tram, bus. Show platform #. Many great features. Make reservation with app unlike French TVG Oui app. Tie to your GPS and Google map, including satellite image, so you know where you're at at all times. Check status using train #. So much better when compared to Spain SCNF and French TVG.

First, Register a new account doesn't work (either in the app on Android or a browser on Chrome). Second, the Feedback option doesn't work either because the Captcha is only in German even if your system and app language are something else. Junk. I'm very lucky I'm traveling with someone else or I would have really struggled on this trip.

The app itself is quite good. Usually shows real time updates on trains and just works well. Options (including bikes) are kinda hidden -tap the text that says "1 or 2nd class | 1 pers." above search button. I'd highly recommend going to a station in person and learning all you need to know to bring a bicycle on board with a reservation. Saves you being confused and kicked off your train by possibly stressed and grumpy workers who won't explain how the reservation is made. Many can be friendly 2

Die Language cannot be changed to Deutsch (only if you change the language for your phone). The App needs a lot of explanation, but the explanations you get are not completely adequate. Additionally if you want to update the information -- like check for new tickets -- the app asks for your password. I would not recommend this app for anybody. It is confusing, inaccurate, lacks of consideration for the user.

Used to work fairly well. For some reason I was logged out of my account and now every time I log in, I just get taken back to the login screen. Impossible to view or buy tickets or see my bahn bonus card. Payment also never worked for me inside the app, it would just direct me back to the page over and over without ever paying. So I had to buy tickets on PC and sync them with the app. Now I can't even do that anymore. May as well use google maps at that point, the functionality is the same...

This app is a must-have! I used it more than a dozen times during our 3-week trip to several German cities. I was able to purchase tickets rather than fussing with a machine, and to easily check updated arrival times, platforms, and seats. I see the negative reviews about difficulty in purchasing tickets but did not have that experience. My credit card information was stored the first time I used it and retrievable every subsequent time. It isn't just for the Inter-City and Regional trains -- it's also for the S-bahns as well. Ticket options are explained in English as well as German (perhaps other languages too?), so it was a snap to tell that for example an S-bahn group day ticket in Munich would save my wife and I money in spite of the ticket allowing up to 5 adults to commute together. We also used the "reserve seats" feature whenever we traveled on busier trains (especially Fridays) as we had luggage and could not go car-to-car searching for seats. The tickets are stored in the app for easy retrieval, and there is a "Komfort" check-in feature so you don't have to show your ticket to the conductor. Here's the real test of its usefulness: it will even tell you where to stand on the platform to be aligned with your car -- very useful for reserved seats when you have luggage. It was especially useful when one of our trains was canceled (while we were on the platform) and I could tell exactly what my options were. There are a number of options you can invoke so be sure to play with the app to find all it can do for you. Highly recommend!!!

DB service has been grossly unreliable due to repeated strikes and cancellations. I've had to rebook trains FOUR times. On the FIFTH cancellation we were at the main station and approached the information center who were extraordinarily rude when were attempting to book again and ensure we had seats for a 3.5 hour ride. It will be a long time before we trust DB again for any form of travel and the last option we choose.

Terrible when it comes to updates on booked trips. You receive "Canceled" and "look for new connection" (inducing a anxiety attack) short time before the train is supposed to leave. Then you find out they just gave it a new train number or selected stops on the way were canceled. Terrible information flow, misleading.

The new app is is incredibly unwieldy and overcomplicates everything by making you trawl through dozens of menus and options to book even the simplest tickets. I have just booked a Bayernticket, and it took ages compared to the old app. There also seems to be no way of getting out of a booking process once started. Very frustrating, counter-intuitive and time-wasting.

An earlier version of my review stated that this "new" app was incomplete. Updates in the past weeks have seemingly(?) matched the features to the previous "old" app, but I stand by my opinion that the app is not well polished. Many of the animations with the new pull-up sheets for tickets/upcoming journeys still feel clunky. The updates have still failed to address a bug with Android 14 "predictive back animations" so the app crashes when trying to use them from the Reisedetails/trip info page.

Update 11.03.22 - login function STILL BROKEN! Still cannot buy tickets via the app. Older versions of the app used to be a workaround to login but no longer...come on, get it together! App is useless with new account login procedure. You can login over and over again but it always takes you back to the login screen each time and you cannot buy a ticket. The only way to login and buy a ticket is through a browser, so then what is the point of an app???

The app which I used for years with no problem is now useless when you are in the UK and want to book ahead for your travel in Germany. I can access my account only on my computer. On my phone via the app I cannot get past the login and get an error '503 Service Unavailable' when I try to login. A quick research shows that the error persists for lots of UK based customers. The app version on my phone is the latest available.

Since Jan 2022, I'm not be able to login into the app with my credentials. Another user exactly mentioned about the same problem, that when I login this login page appears again and again and you never get through. It's a shame that since so many months they couldn't solve such a simple yet critical issue!!! (update) I found the solution: If you have enabled the "developer options " under Apps you will find 'Don't keep activities' ; just disable it and you can login again

Since they updated the app it doesn't give any real-time notifications for late trains!! Super frustrating to find out the train is 40 mins late after rushing to the train station, or that I will miss my connection. Also it doesn't offer alternatives for missed connections. I want the old clunky app back, at least it gave correct and timely info!!!

Germany-wide mass transit in one app, and it's massively more user friendly than the Frankfurt-area RMV app. Buggy now, though, with typically poor .de customer service: I've had RMV ticket purchases fail with an on screen error message, but result in a purchase and charge both times. The first resulted in a duplicate charge that they took no responsibility for and refused to refund. Open my tickets and pull down to refresh if you see similar behavior to avoid duplicate charges.

DB as usual is delayed and connections in jeopardy. In a convenient twist your connection will also be horrendously late. The app is ok, but struggles if you don't let it coerce you into making another account for yet another app. The app should not try to schedule tight connections but rather give you an hour at each transfer. Really do need to destroy the car lobby.

Looks clean and simple, but using the mobile app is a headache. Please make that you can login to your account without going to an external browser. The login is buggy and simply does not work, completely unrelated to login info. I have exactly the correct information, it is only when I enter the information that when i press login/register it fails.
