It shows I'm eligible for an advance, but there is no way for me to access it. Update: This still shows me eligible for an advance of $100. Have screen shots to prove, but once again, there is no way for me to access it. Unable to get ahold of a person and the chat on the app provides no help. New Update: Able to access advance which is nice. (It just was working correctly one day.) Not being able to speak to customer support on the matter during the process is only negative part of experience

simple. no off the walls fees. no fees at all, actually. customer service is readily available. never had any issues and I've been banking with Dave app for a few years now. the interface is a breeze to navigate. they have a save the change, and apply it to a separate account. accounts you can personalize that are specifically for different goals or things you are working towards and much more. at the end of the day, it's just a cute bear who keeps banking effortless.

The only problems I've had were odd settlement dates (bc the way I get my paycheck through the system off) and when I sent a chat to the customer service team two different times they were able to quickly fix the issue and make the date normal again. I love Dave. Very helpful to have when needed! I've been a customer for over a year, maybe up to two now, and I've never had an issue. Wonderful app and team behind it. Thank you all so much 💕

They lose several stars because of their incompetent Customer service team. Their app claims you can add money to your spend account via debit card, which is faster, but you can't change the funding method & it defaults to your checking account. I've tried to explain that the debit card method is not visible, w/screen shots & they just list out the options over & over. Anyone with 2 brain cells would understand the issue by now but they can't seem to comprehend, or solve, the problem.

The only issue to be careful of when you are using Dave for a cash advance is that they ask you to tip. The tips go to meals for children which is fine but its similar to a restaurant where the tip is added by default and you have to click around to get rid of it. I don't mind helping and tipped some the first times, but also if im asking for a cash advance obviously i dont have extra money to tip every time. Last time I mistakenly tipped 18$ by clicking one button and it was too late.

Works as advertised. 2 stars because when you are paying back, it almost forces you to tip them. By default, my last tip was $45. Gives you no option to cancel or make changes. You have to be frally careful and slow when making payment arguments. Otherwise, you are paying a lot more than you should. Yes, you should be great full for their assistance, so tipping sounds the right rhubg to do.... but it's a monthly paid service!

Dave has to be the best banking app...hands down! I love the extracash and the different ways to save. I've used chime, netspend, advia and others. I have finally learned how to save money with the goals side of Dave. So you put what the amount of your goal to save is and you can either manually put money in it or set it up so you can pick the exact date even money is taken out of your account and the exact amount to. Best banking app EVER!!!!

This app is a lifesaver. I used this to get out of a tight spot due to unexpected expenses. Very clear terms and conditions. The money was taken out of my account directly so I didn't have to worry about logging in and manually send the repayment. Funding is fast without any hidden fees. I would just like to recommend to the developer an option to be able to set your repayment date to offer more flexibility when repaying the loan. With multiple funding options, it's a great way to get money fast

I'm unable to transfer funds from my Dave Card to my debit card since yesterday. I get as far as telling it how much I want and the button simply isn't working. Also, the option to settle early is missing. I reached out to customer support and was told to try again later. I mentioned that the inability to settle early and they said that my app needed to be updated. I reinstalled it and it still isn't working. They insist that there's no problem on their end and I should try again later.

Terrible Customer service. I was using the app fine, paying on time, never late. Then suddenly I keep receiving an error message that says "issue loading your advance." Emailed Customer service, said they would get back to me and never have. It's been months now. And you can't close your account if there is a "pending issue" they are trying to resolve for you. But you keep sending emails saying I'm eligible for an advance, but won't let me get it?? Dave you SUCKKKK!

Out of the seemingly hundreds of "pay-day lender" apps that exist nowadays, almost all of which are terrible and/or scams, Dave stands out above the rest. It truly is a fantastic, fair, and a life-saving app. Dave truly comes in clutch and helps people in need and quickly increases the amount you can borrow as long as you pay back what you have previously borrowed. They also help with a myriad of other things too like budgeting, saving, and investing. All around great app!

Good if you only need a low amount.. I would give Dave a 4, but the amount approved for constantly changes, even if your income is salary and spending stay pretty constant. One week you are approved for $400, the next $125.. even though you have always paid the amount back. The support just blames the algorithm on it and can give you no clear answers. So it's something you can't count on being there with the same amount as last time. So have a backup plan for the issue.

I haven't really had much issue using this app, but right now I'm pretty annoyed. I've always paid on time, no question. I have also paid the membership fee too. How is it that after payments without missing a beat, and paying the monthly membership fee, you just randomly decide I'm not eligible for an advance. No reason for it, just take my payment and see ya later. Do better Dave!! There's no reason for this at all.

Absolutely horrendous app. Wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy. For starters the apps clumsy and the service is terrible, you're better off getting cashapp or venmo. If you use its extra cash future you're just hurting yourself down the road. I've closed my account a year ago paid off and everything and for some reason I'm getting $5 missed payment discrepancies from DAVE. They'll autocharge ur accounts for random things that make no sense. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!

Everything was going smooth and after months of never missing a payment and getting to a $400 spending limit, my limit was decreased to $200 right before I had bills due. This left me completely broke for 2 weeks. Thanks Dave, thought I could count on you at first. Never had a late payment and instead of keeping upping my limit or at least keeping it the same, I'm now -$200...

I couldn't use the Dave app because, "I'm too poor" There is a requirement that says your address can not be a commercial location or a PO Box. This ignores the many weekly/monthly rate motels in my area.... Apparently this app is only for a certain class of people and it doesn't include the complete audience that could benefit from it.

Edit at top for clarity: Dave thinks they can rectify this by pointing out something I've already done to try and rectify the situation, but there is no way to rectify it once they pause verification. Absolutely awful service. I'm sure it's fine for some people, but if they have any issue verifying your identity, there's no way to rectify it or unlink your bank account without disabling and deleting the app.

I've been using Dave now for a little over 6 months. I've used the cash advance a few times. Sometimes the chat option doesn't work. I wish there was a notification for direct deposits so I don't have to log in when I wanna check it. I do direct deposit and have gotten them earlier than expected. I wish the ATM withdrwawls and spending amount were higher. All in all seems like a good banking alternative. Just a few changes needed.

I absolutely adored this app's approach to interest-free cash advances. However, if you get your paychecks at any time other than when you normally receive them, the automatic payment will probably decline. This will reduce your credit with them. There is not much you can do other than always have more money than your cash advance gives you at the end of the month (this defeats the purpose of a cash advance like this), or figure out how to get your paycheck at EXACTLY the right time every month.

**Edit** After checking back on Day 2, now it's saying it's not sure when I can be approved for an advance and to just check back every single day for possible updates. BS. The $4 month fee is a scam! This app isn't ideal if you need money right away. Added all my info, signed up for plus, connected my bank, and now waiting to hear if I was approved or not. Could take days. You'd think if you're paying for a premium account, it would be a little faster.
