Worst customer support in the business. I had a problem two weeks ago that I reached out to customer support for and they still haven't replied. I fixed it myself after several days of trial and error. Don't waste your time dealing with a company that can't even communicate with their paying customers. I purchased the full version a few years back. Also, the login with fingerprint is horrible and only works about 25% of the time. There are better password databases out there.

Last few updates were just some bug fixes. Any plans on additional updates. Updating my initial star rating on the latest versions from a 2 to 4. Everything is working great. I've used this product for some time now and support has always been great. If your looking for a solid password manager, this is it.

This is still a great password security app. I like that all my sensitive data are not sent to and stored in the cloud. It syncs between my phone and desktop automatically. There are categories for anything you might imagine, and space for notes as well. I've used it for over a decade with only one real problem, which got resolved.

Works well. The reason I like this app is because of the free-form field naming. I keep many notes that don't conform to the rigid field naming structure of most of the other password managers out there. It also lets me sync with my PC either locally, or using Dropbox. Very flexible, in my opinion. I've been using it for close to 10 years now.

Excellent app. I have used it for years, over multiple platforms (Windows, iOS and Android.) The only time I have had any trouble was with the fingerprint reader on my Pixel phone not working with some cryptic "null response" error, usually when I am in a hurry and don't have time to type in my password with my fat fingers. More (or customizable) icons would be nice. Seems like development had stalled. Regardless, is still a great product, even years after release.

The Android app was last updated in 2018. As I write this, it is April, 2022. PC app works fine. Manually can back up to cloud or PC. Sync used to work through Dropbox. As of yesterday, no updates on Android or no observable reason why, no more Dropbox updates from my device. Therefore, PC and Android device are now out of sync. Constant error message on device informing me of some "core error" when trying to sync to Dropbox. Have emailed support. Waiting for response. Am currently shopping for replacement since it looks like they have stopped working on or improving this product. Too bad. I used to love it and have used it for about 10 years.

I have been using DataVault for about 1.5 years now and it is absolutely great~!!! Definitely an app savior! Maintaining my own data locally without the cloud is very important to me. This app provides this feature. Logical interface and easy to use. I sincerely hope to remain with DataVault for many years to come! Thank you very much DataVault! [Update] : It's now been more than 6 years and I'm still extremely very happy with this app~!!! I'd be happy to help in any way I can~!!!

Horrible on android, absolutely no way to sync your data. I have tried wifi, direct, dropbox, backup/restore with both a dvx and a bak file, NOTHING WORKS. I have used this for years from my PC and old iPhone and it worked perfect, just got a Google Pixel 3 and cannot get my data to this phone no matter what I do. I do have the latest version installed on my PC (6.2.7) . I am a developer with 20 years experience so I do know what I am doing. I emailed their support and have no reply.

A very good app that keeps so much confidential information safe and organized. When I was working, the organization by business and personal helped immensely. While I have not had any issues with the app, lately I am not able to sync some of items. App says synch complete - I even choose between conflicts - but nothing changes. This gets to be a big deal when new passwords are not synched.

I have used Datavault since 2009 when I got the 1st Google Android phone going. It thought it was just OK until I tried Dropbox Sync, and was very happy except for some minor stuff. But in 2022, Dropbox sync no longer works, pleas for support are not answered, and I can't seem to get the WiFi sync feature to work. I am converting to another password manager, NordPass, which is actually a better product and does sync very well, and it has at least some support. So long DataVault!!

May 21, 2022. Happy to report that the Dropbox sync crash has been fixed as of 5/19/22. Android version 6.3.9. So almost instantaneous sync between Windows, Android, & iOS devices is back!!! Oct 2017: An excellent password manager that I've used for years. I have the same database on a Windows 10 desktop, a Samsung5 Android, and an iPad - which are automatically synchronized via DropBox. Make a change on one of the devices, and it's synchronized in seconds on the other devices.

Simple and intuitive app. Have been using it for years. Syncs with all my devices easily, using dropbox. It's great. It will stay open on my laptop, but closes every time I switch apps on my phone. Wish it would stay open so it would be easier to retrieve info when inputting into other apps. Otherwise, all good!

I have used this app for years. I have experimented with competing programs but couldn’t return to Data Vault quick enough. The user interface is easy and intuitive. The platform on which this app is built is nothing shy of brilliant and expandable. Data Vault also works over sever platforms. This fact just can’t be beat. For what is worth, the app has never crashed on me. I would like to see the ability to capture an image and import said image into to program. Other than that, I am endorsing this product and recommend everyone use use it for not just password generating, but storing safely and securely whatever info one wants. Buy this product. I stand by it.

Since the last update, lost backup to Android. The only option to backup is Dropbox which I dont want to use. It also reset on its own. Was only able to restore data before the last update. Changes after the update were lost since Datavault wasnt backingup to Android phone even if it was set to auto backup. Sent email to customer service but never responded or acknowledged.

I've used this app for many years. Recently the Android app will no longer synchronize without creating serious errors. I sent two requests for technical help to this team without any response. Beginning to wonder if the app is still supported. Happy to update this if I can resolve this problem. I'm otherwise happy with its performance.

I use the dropbox feature to synchronize between my pc and phone. i love this app so much that i have also deployed it where i work on the iOS platform and recommend it to anyone that has information stored in notebooks or on a pc file. the support is also second to none; whenever i have had a question or wasn't sure about how to do something, the folks at ascendo were quick to help. Kudos on an amazing product. Had to get my reg number because of a rebuild; no problem at all.. thumbs up

Update: After corresponding via email the issue was resolved. If you own a Samsung phone don't use an ! in your master password. Update : same thing happened again, restore won't load from drop box. Not a word from developer! Great customer service, NOT! Backup did not load correctly, kept getting error message on the password until it self deleted even though password was correct. Reinstalled multiple times keep getting error message and will not launch templates. I'm DONE

I've used datavault for years and have loved it. Upgrades never have caused a single glitch, very user friendly, consistently stable! My wife and I are able to keep up with all of our accounts and security info live and in one place. Never a problem if a password has to be reset, as long as we update data vault we both have the latest info.

Use for several years and it does whatnot was intended for. Up date 7/13/20 - It has worked well for several years and now it appears that I may lose all my data. The database no longer recognizes my password or recovery hint. I have emailed Datavault for help but I think it is toast. *****Update- reset phone, reinstalled app and logged back in and we are back up and running!

Intuitive? Not really. very little in user manual. Windows datavault isn't much better. I'm a gambler so i thought i give this password manager a try for $10. Don't waste your cash. buy beer instead and use lastpass - it's free. After many years, I tried this app again. the biometrics never works correctly and I have to recover my password which I don't ever remember because I depend on the fingerprint, so I have to write it down. lastpass is still the best free version.
