The combat is much less intuitive this time, seemingly in favor of button mashing combos. The fun and clever character building system is gone, streamlined I to a very watered down reflection. Overall this game feels like a cheap imitation of the prequel, which I still feel is a grand example of mobile gaming.

This is the perfect example of taking a great game and then destroying it for money. The energy system is terrible, you can't play for more then 30 minutes without waiting hours for your energy to recharge. After every stage be prepared for an ad to pop up on it's own. Also after every stage you now have to watch an ad to spin a wheel for rewards. But don't worry you can spend money to recharge energy twice as fast, which still means you will have to wait over an hour to play again.

This is a fun little game. You can beat the entire thing without spending a dime (I did it). The only complaint I have is the cost on the store. I usually like putting a few dollars to the creators, but everything worth owning is expensive. The subscription thing is odd. $10/year is up there for a game of this size, and it's easily beatable in less than 2 months, so why the yearly subscription? Overall it is enjoyable, though.

Let me say why I gave you four. I loved the og dash quest, and I like thia new one a lot too, but the main problems i have with this are two things. One, you cant buy items like health pots or stuff, and two, the energy system. Like really? I understand why game devs do it, mainly for money, but at least do it right. You shouldn't have levels that cost 8 energy to play. Just go with for normal levels one energy, hard levels 2 then heroic 3. Thats it then for bosses add two energy to it.

Really fun game, filled with bugs though. Subscription items dont always refill. Some things can only be gotten by buying them, then they are not offered in shop, or if they are, the button to purchase doesnt work. The game itself is an absolute blast. Wish they would fix those little bugs. Update. Worth considering that the game developers responded to my post very quickly. Really shows that they are working hard to continue to keep the game awesome.

I love the dash quest series. I pay for the dash quest 1 VIP membership. So I definitely was down to pay for the membership to the second game. AND it said "9.99 a year" so I definitely wanted it! However, I was later charged 9.99 again in a week?? I'm very confused and really just want to keep my year long subscription (as promised) without paying for it weekly. OTHERWISE, great game! Amazing improvements from the first one! I love the new relic system and blocking is better than ever!

I downloaded dash quest. The first game and it would freeze a lot during ads... I leveled my character up to me level 61 in the first dash quest. I really like dash quest 2 so far. Not had any problems with ads freezing and the graphics are a lot better. I respect the time and efforts that go In to making a game. Thanks. -Zach-

It seems like the game was rushed, plus the constant ads is really annoying but I do get thats how money is made, also some of the best parts from both dash quest and heroes aren't there additionally the constant need for energy is limiting the users on how much time they can actually play the game. Whats also a little annoying is you don't even have to be good at the game cause when you die you can just watch an ad and you're set. I'm sure that these are just minor set backs, dq1 was great

Good, but now my energy wont recharge for some reason. I go to bed with like 2 energy, wake up, still 2 energy. About 4 hours ago I had 5 energy, I only have 9 now. The timer on it pauses and says its 9 min even though each energy is 5? Just its being very glitchy. Still miss the pets from the first dash quest. Regardless of the complaint I've made it's because I know the game will improve, it's new. Y'all my favorite mobile game team, keep it up:)

Dash Quest 2 is a respectable sequel. In this app, the player controls attack, defend and abilities with single-click action. There's an easy-to-learn skill tree, the graphics are bouncy and plentiful and I observed improvement from DQ1. My one gripe is the ads: not always optional, which is a turnoff since players can voluntarily watch ads for resurrects and loot. We watch plenty of ads without the in-between deaths and maps. But DQ2 gets 5 stars because it really is enjoyable, so try it 🙂

Great game, but ads need to stay optional. Sometimes maybe around 2-5 raid levels, the game forces you to watch an ad, but no reward is given and the ad causes the game to seriously bug out by deleting letters from various texts making reading relics effects and equipment effects and costs hard to read. Some enemies may become invincible to weapons or abilities. The worst bug I've seen was when the ad closes, the game lags so bad that one enemy on screen will crash the game on a cheap phone.

Great content if you can get past being choked to death with ad/subscription-related prompts. Edit: changing to 1 star, the random ads interspersed while playing really makes me feel like I'm playing some mediocre game from 2015. 2nd edit: There are ads occasionally unless you do the weekly subscription; I'm willing to splurge the cash on all the packages, but a weekly subscription for a mobile game in 2019 just kills it for me. Loved the series up to this point.

Friends and I loved DQ1. Played it for week trying to get farther than eachother. DQ2 is better in almost every way; better levels, bosses, animations, gear, abilities, almost everything. Except for the energy system. This is bad enough to bump my review down a star. You can only play for like 5 minutes, ~3/4 levels, on a full charge because the energy cost per level SCALES with your max energy. It's SUCH a good game, but christ, I want to be able to play for more than a few minutes.

I've been playing it for 2 weeks; so it's only fair I change the rating from 2 to 4 stars. Ads can still be annoying, but the energy mechanic prevents anything from being 5 stars. The weekend raid makes up for a lack of endless mode. If you're unsure about the game, give this game time before you give up on it. Ultimately, it is rather fun.

It seems like a good game I really like the first one and the second one doesn't seem to be as good it feels more like a button masher, because the enemy doesnt have a warning and they attack very fast also the skills and abilities mainly make you invulnerable and do a lot of damage also the items give (in my opinion) absurd stat increases early on and later on very little in relation to the character. On a final note the energy is very annoying.

To be honest, if this game didn't have this subscription option or that dumb energy bar, I would give the game 5 stars. Remove them both please. It's stupid to see I'm limited to 7 or 8 games in a row before I have to wait at least a good 45 minutes to play again, remove it. That subscription needs to go. Just bring back the raids but make it like the challenge towers in MKX mobile which gives the players rare items that can boost their XP, gold, and give players rare sets. Lets make it happen.

First game was incredible, this one is too but the energy makes it barely worth playing for me. Even if it refilled after like 10 minutes to full, that'd be fine but it just doesn't scale enough past a certain level and leaves me waiting for long periods of time. I didn't even make it to the third boss without spending a few gems earned by watching ads

Fun so far. Had played before, but lost my original progress, wasn't clear how to get it back. Logging in with Google didn't do anything, and syncing just returned an error. Waited a bit, and it ended up saving over my old data. I hadn't spent money, but after seeing how that went I'm kinda discouraged. The process of recovering a cloud save should be offered at a title screen instead of after playing through the tutorial, and if a save exists overwriting shouldn't just happen like that.

I loved dash quest 1. That being said It feels like this game is painfully slow in comparison. In the original game if you dedicated time and your skill points you could rush through levels filling the entire screen with monster destroying goodness! But in this game even when you're mathematically unable to die in earlier levels due to higher health and stats you still are moving at a crawling speed. I like this game but it's slow movement speed and lack of variety of upgrades are boring.

really fun game with loads of potential, has easy controls that are difficult to master. but the grind is pretty bad, im used to grindy games, but for this format it just doesnt feel right. Money is quite difficult to obtain in the game unless you watch literally 2 ads in a row, these are optional but the game offers so little energy. you almost feel cornered to watch the ads to get as much money for the little energy you have. overall fun game, just bad economy.
