More About Dark Stories
Dark Stories is an easy to play and fun game but some of the stories are quite difficult. All the stories are fictional. To solve them, the players will need to prove their skills as detectives.
HOW TO PLAY
Dark Stories must be played in group. A person -chosen as narrator- picks a mystery and reads its description aloud.
Then he/she reads its solution without telling the other people. The rest of the players then have to make questions in order to solve the mystery.
The narrator can only answer the questions using "Yes", "No" or "It is not relevant". The only possible solution is the one given at the back of each mystery card. If the answer is still not clear enough, the players must follow the narrator's interpretation of the mystery.
EXAMPLE
A typical fragment of a gameplay could be:
Player1: "Did he die because of the shot?"
Narrator:"No"
Player2: "Was he poisoned?"
Narrator: "No"
Player3: "Did he have children?"
Narrator: "It's not relevant"
Player1: "Are there other people in the story?"
Narrator: "No"
Player2: "Did he commit suicide?"
Narrator: "Yes"
...
END OF THE GAME
When the narrator considers that the story has been solved enough, the narrator can conclude the game and read the whole solution.
It is up to the narrator to give some clues if the story is in a deadlock.

I like the idea of this game. I like how the app looks. How it works. But the stories are too short & they don't give enough information to get the answer. Like the diver one. The only way you could figure it out was if you already knew the Dead Sea had a high salt concentration & that where he was sailing There are so many bodies of water. Salt & fresh. And that was an easy one! It would be nice if the stories were slightly longer with more information & maybe a red herring

This is a great game to play on social events you know when there is a awkward silence and instantly go to "What if-" "Were they-" "Is it-" and overall fun (The game has multiple riddles the line at the edge is meant to present how hard it is: Green - Easy Yellow - normal Red - Hard You need one narrator to pick the riddle and read the solution (Without telling anyone) and she/he/they can only give small hints and can only say yes and no)

I find all the stories absolutely hilarious. This game is only fun because you and your friends are made to brain storm things Edit: Take this one for example: A sad woman is sitting near a window. She jumps out the window, and in that instance her telephone rings and she regrets jumping. Solution: after a nuclear fallout, she thought she was the only one alive What?? Who is guessing nuclear fallout here? The riddles are weird. I'm not sure if this is intended, but it didn't feel fun to me.

This would be a 5 star if there was an online feature. It'd be really neat if you were able to play with five random people with a little chat in the bottom, and if you were selected narrator you had three options, yes, no, or unimportant. I think that would make this game amazing.

I absolutely love the game and I've been playing it with my friends for a long time. It's super fun, however, I would love a login feature so I can keep my progress, in case I get a new phone. Just thinking about ticking every solved story and watching the ads all over again frustrates me.

Solutions are really far fetched, the problems have little to no detail. The whole app is "answer this riddle but the only detail we will give you is 'they commit suicide shortly after.' Figure it out" like??? Also they really like to use suicide in their stories, so here's a warning for that!

The game is good. Not bad, not great. I feel as if 8 or 9 out of every 10 stories are too vague to actually be able to guess the answer. I think they are fun to play and I had fun with them. I say had because you only have so many stories to choose from and if you want the rest then you have to pay money. You have 3 keys which you can use to play 3 of any story of your choice. After that you have to pay up. Like the amount of keys you're given, the game is worthy of 3 stars.

I've already made this review. I can't manage to purchase the full version so that I can skip the time between ads to get some keys. I have spent all of my keys and then attempted to try buying it again, but now I don't even get the option to purchase it. Please help me with this and when I get to unlock the full game I will give it 5 stars.

Very fun game to play with friends! It's simple and easy, and the art and music is quite nice. They also give you many stories for free which is quite generous and there are a plethora of stories in the app that you can play with friends so you'll never run out! Definetly recommend you to download this game if you want to have a fun time with a group of people!

Most stories are pathetic. I suggest you, the users, come with an original mystery and try to play it differently if you want to (the game can easily be modified. Especially if the narrator has experience from roleplaying games. Edit: Upon playing a bit more i found some interesting stories that were fun to solve. But they were too few.

The idea and layout of the app is amazing, which I am totally happy about. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of five is because there are multiple solutions to some riddles, or the solution consists something that doesn't even get mentioned or doesn't have anything in common with the story. If you could make the riddles more specific, so you can get the answer that is given rather than another one which might still be a reasonable solution, I will automatically give you 5 stars!

I would put 5 stars: cool graphics, cool idea and game development, it's funny and cute; but the thing that I don't like so much is that you must pay to unlock the most of the stories... It's boring 'cause after a few stories you don't have some anymore! Anyway, my opinion is that il still a beautiful game!

Great collection of riddle stories in a nicely laid-out format. The UI is sleek and easy to navigate, plus I like that you can sort by difficulty or completion. I play a lot of these with kids at summer camp and I'm looking forward to sharing this app with them! My only critique is there should definitely be a warning at the beginning that many of the stories include suicide - it can be extremely sensitive for people, and they deserve to be warned. Even better would be to rewrite them a little.

Definitely unique. If your friends are curious, chatty, and down for some silliness, this would be a great game to play with them. The UI is simple to grasp quickly. You get 3 free stories for every new combo you have to buy (so if you don't spend money to buy a new category you still have some free stories) However, I do agree that some stories were a little wack, which would be much better if the solution was written in a more logical way.

Dull, yet over the top. The solutions to the riddles are not only nearly impossible to guess, even on easy mode, but also extremely specific and not even interesting. It says dark in the title, yet you'd expect something more than suicide every other question. It's redundant and bland, and I'd rather just come up with my own questions and solutions.

I overall liked the game, though it has it's flaws. Especially the questions, it is supposed to be a question-answer kind of game but it takes a lot of getting used to since most questions (stand-alone) are far-fetched and the players have to know which questions to ask, it is nearly necessary to provide hints. Though for a free game, it's way more than you can ask for, especially with free keys stuff. I think the game can be improved on by new questions submitted by the players.

I grew up playing "Crack the Case" with friends and fell in love with it. Really opens up the world of board games to otherwise skeptics since there's no pieces and you can play casually or competitively. I'm always surprised how seemingly "smart" people struggle with this game because it punishes you for making assumptions and putting too many things together in your head. The players that really shine are the ones that need to ask for clarification of each detail and I love it! Thank you!
