Great game with good controls and several play modes (story, survival, multiplayer, adventure). Only two major downsides: 1) Story mode needs more content, a new story to play through. Normal and Hard story line can both be completed within a week or so with fairly minimal play time. 2) Ads often break: no close option is presented, or when a close button is tapped the game freezes on a black screen. This can cause you to lose your progress, especially in Survival mode.

Hands down the best game I've played in a long time. The controls are simple and handle smoothly, the fights fun and fast paced, and the load out of weaponry is awesome as well. There is one issue that I've had but I'm not sure if this is the game center or the app itself. Whenever I get an achievement, the game freezes the controls while the achievements text displays for like 5 seconds. That's a lot of time to stand there and get wailed on in the middle of a huge fight.

It's the first game I ever got, and I love it, it's great!! It's challenging to get past the end. But, I rated four stars beacuse I feel they should continue the story line. Make a second game where I can still keep my levels and get even higher! And the art for the app logo is getting worse. But other than that, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? DOWNLOAD IT!!!

I love this game but there are tons of flaws. Game play and story are great. Difficulty spikes really quickly and controls can be a tad off when bouncing but it reminds me of your classic beat em up style game. Too many ads at every checkpoint and you have to be online to play new levels. Cooling off period to unlock new levels is insane.

I've played mobile games since the old nokia snake...this is by far the best and funnest I've ever played, with the best soundtrack as well and I'm only in the 2nd area of levels so far. Reminds me of playing Mario 3 when I was a kid, only you use karate, knives, and guns to wipe out a ton of enemies. Only issue I have is the ⬅️ button responding, that could very well be my phone or my finger placement though. Seems like I keep missing with my thumb. Maybe allow enlarging the buttons for tha

Glitches out after nearly every ad. I enjoy the game, it is great. I also understand the ads, everyone has to get paid. However nearly every ad, savepoint or not will go to blackscreen after the ad and not transition back to the game. I will have to restart the game. Kind of lame. Update, after a little bit of time the ad issues went away. I really like the game and have beat it in normal and modes.

You can do a adsless run if you turn the internet off. As for the game it is graft. The story is a bit more complicated than the game like he want to impress lawyers. Why tho but back on the game. It should be in the hall of best 8_bit games cuz the graphics are very good and the levels are too. That all I have to say about the game. Also hard mode is harder than I thought. It is a great thing the game is free.

Post update: Cannot play!! The ads do take time to get used to but it's not an overwhelming amount of ads. Sometimes they have in game sales. Thank God for that because the game asks for too much money. Pay for premium. Pay for characters. Play for other miscellaneous stuff. I don't like to play games that come up with various ways to get my cash. have to pay $6 for Barry or I can't complete levels in adventure mode. Barry should never be $5.99 in the first place. Jump button doesn't jump often.

I think this is one of the best actuon platformer games I've played in a while! Very fun except some of the problems it has, only problem that does annoy me is the fact that most advertisments that you can watch for a reward usually never work, mainly in survival mode when I need a starting gun. I noticed that it started when ads took me to the playstore automatically then when i came back to the game it said video error constantly, also friend invite doesnt work, other than that, good game!

Awesome game!!! Love The retro type design! Best arcade game on phone and tablet, good job halfbrick!🖒 Only a few problems, one problem is that the stuff cost to much. For example, the nanja rebel suit cost too much. 50,000 coins for it and the game pays u like 150 coins in the arena and story mode. Please lower the prices or make higher value coins that fall from enemies. Thanks for the game though😆

This is the best game ever! The graphics remind me of those 1980 Atari arcade games. The gameplay is excellent, the controls are SUPER responsive, and I like how there's 3 storys to choose from. The only downfall is, that you can get Frosty Plains for free if you get all gold trophies in adventure mode, but you have to pay 5.99$ for Fright Zone. And the ads are a bit out of control, but otherwise, this game is amazing! totally download it for a great time!

This is an 8 dollar game. If you get rid of the advertisements=2.99 And if you want Barry (you need him to complete some levels but he kinda sucks)=4.99. Is this game worth 8? I think there should be more story at the base price(which you apparently have to pay for). The only real challenge is at the later levels as well as adventure mode. Survival is fun too.

Very well done, it reminds me of a double dragon / Mario game from my childhood! Very fun to play through! I just finally beat all levels and it was so worth playing! Update 1 seems I lost all my progress though which sucks! Update 2 I also lost my purchases and ads free purchases from recent updates, from 5 to 1 stars until fixed! I lost everything and I played through the entire game! It's the updates along the way that broke it! This is BS, thievery! Change code, delete user purchases, NICE!

I love the game, the concept, the wackiness, and the fun, but the thing in my opinion that is almost killing it is all the ads and the lack of story. there are just so much ads here and there, almost making unplayable. the story is alright but only 1 story/chapter?? and the other stories you have to buy with only 6 levels?? it's still a fun game but it might need some work if it will become even better.

This is a very great game, highly recommended. But, just to make healing more interesting, make a button to see the healing items you've collected. How it would work: Once you select this healing option, the rest of the screen gets a little darker and a blue backrounded menu appears at the top of the screen, then you can see your healing items, the images of them and the amount of health it heals, but the level still runs while using this option

I love this game!!! But seriously guys, lose the forced tutorial. There is no reason even the most rudimentary players should have to play multiple levels, be taught how to open chests, etc. Make it optional, or at least make it shorter. I've had to redownload a few times, and every time I do it forces me to crawl through the tutorial before I can even log in to my profile. So unnecessary. Again, one of my top 3 mobile games ever. Great work. But fix the tutorial.

I love this game. The pixilated but still real graphics, I don't know what everyone else is talking about when they say ads are bombing them, but when im playing I don't see any ads. Keep up the work and if someone probably is seeing too many ads, just turn on airplane mode. Anyway, gameplay is fun for me and is pretty good and detailed overall. I love the retro feel, and the ovwrall casualty of the game.

Great game. Fun, snappy, and has a level of strategy to it. It is very charming and a unique way to continue a web series. Free version is ad-heavy and according to some reviews has a terrible cool down system, which tends to break the flow of the game considerably, but this is enough of an actual game to make it so that spending 2.99 on premium doesn't disgust me. There are also a lot of microtransactions, but it is all bonus content, so it's not too bad.

Fun game but the ads make it unplayable. There are save points every few screens which is just an excuse to show you more ads with opportunity to watch more ads for items. Last game there was 6 ads and all I did was go through the very short (less than a minute) level. The ads last longer than the levels. On top of that the game often resets after an ad so it's pointless anyway.

Really fun game! There's just one problem when you play on multiple devices. I play on my phone and tablet. And sometimes something doesn't save! For example, I recently got the Dragon Costume for my custom character on my tablet. But later on when I play on my phone and go to the character customization, I apparently don't have it! The same thing happens with adventure mode! I complete an adventure on my phone, then it doesn't save on my tablet! Fix this for 5 stars, please! Sorry for 4 stars!
