More About Daisho: Survival of a Samurai

Daisho: Survival of a Samurai is an Action RPG with casual survival game mechanics and big village-building possibilities. You'll experience a new type of survival game with quests, continuous open world progression, monthly events and your dumb ways to die not harming your fun level.
🏹 Survival Games, casualized

Chop every tree, hunt rabbits and deer, stone and copper mining - resource management are a staple of every survival game, and Daisho is no different. However, we threw away the hunger games in favor of a replenishing stamina pool so you can start every game session on exploration instead of just preventing yourself from dying.

🏛️ Build your own Japanese village estate

From setting up your first camp to building an entire Japanese village, you'll be pretty busy making a home for yourself and all the rescued souls that turn up to settle as workers. Manage their resource refining jobs, build houses and beautify the city with fountains and other decor.

⚔️ Carry a big stick (mind the pointy end)

Craft your weaponry from a selection of clubs, katanas, bows, spears and more. Upgrade them to make pointy ends even more pointy, embellish your craft with gems and their attributes, and poke around at the Shogun armies, bandit bosses and other generally unfriendly folk.

🗺️ Explore Japan and its dungeons

Dive into dark medieval history and unravel the story of Oda Nobunaga, known as the great Japanese unifier; lead the siege to the stronghold of Kyoto, or rebuild the ancient estates and temples around Mount Fuji. Learning about history has never been more fun!

📅 Enjoy Seasonal Events

Keep coming back for freshly designed seasonal events as they happen. Missed one? Don't worry, we've put them into your game progression and keep them fresh every year.

Lame! The game is nothing like the ad. You have to spend days of repairing, building, and gathering before any actual attack waves like in the ad. I deleted before ariving there because it DRAGS. And they make the game practically non-functional unless you spend a bunch of money. Waste of time.

No energy required, you can fix all your stuffs, the control is not that good sometimes and the button is horrible to press many times (pls fix it, I am SURE you know what I am talking abt, it is DAMN IRRITATING) Except the Arena rank (to get daimyo emblem) all is good. I take almost 2 hours to find a match to fight off, when I don't find any, I give up (and left 5 rounds). When I get enough daimyos to upgrade my axe and pickaxe, I won't do this Arena anymore. It is boring.

Used to play this game probably around year ago and uninstalled the game due to lack of things to do. So much better now, kudos to the development team. Definitely would like to purchase in app transaction just to contribute, note that this game is not pay to win games. A bit of advice probably would be best if you could add information how to gather things and the usage of the item so player could easily understand.

No character customisation at all. 0. + All you do is complete tasks constantly and you have to wait until you get to make basic tools and gotta work with rusty ones until then making it take painfully long, making multiple trips to finish basic tasks. 100% based on chance and not effort. After an hour of playing this, instead of feeling the satisfaction of playing a good game, you feel like you worked a shift at a factory. +1 star bc the engineers worked hard, gg graphics, style and fluidity

I really liked the game because it's my kind of style but the grind for coins is driving me crazy. The game is too stingy in giving out coins and when you need to spend, you have to spend large amount and you can't even have an alternative way of getting coins. The limited storage is also one thing but overall, it's good if you like grindy games

I'll give 3 star now, the game is pretty good, graphics is good, no energy used to travel places is great theres nothing holding you back if you want to play the whole day grinding material and leveling up your base. But theres one problem, the server is unstable, you'll keep getting disconnected even if you have good connection making you lose the progress youve been doing at the point of getting disconnected. Overall its a great game.. just fix the server

Game is based on gathering resources to restore destroyed by mafia village. Nice graphics. I like base level design, it has a lot of things to do like repairing destroyed buildings, building area for different crafting stations and I found one strategical minigame like 2048. Fighting system is very stat-checky and not skill-expressive, at least at start like in tloe. One thing I wish devs corrected is trade offers. Some of em require 8x more resources and give 3x money and i skip it with 5min cd

Just running between your village and forrest, get 10 log, return back start building something whicj takes time, then run in forrest again, get materials return build and this takes a lot of time, just doing the same, very bad idea, it is not even a bit addictive. I was thinkin that it would become better by completing missions but nothing happens, just cut trees and buld and upgrade. Not fun.

Updated review. Slow paced game, with amazing graphics. I don't feel like I'm accomplishing anything when I play. Can't play offline either, which is a deal breaker. I do appreciate how quick the developers respond. I just enjoy a bit faster paced games. It was the food mini game that gave me the impression this game was an energy based game.

Everything about this game is great other than the fact that it's an online play. Most games like this should be 100% offline with endlessly updates. so far the storyline is great, graphics is excellent, gameplay is smooth. Its minimum amount of gameplay because of energy and online access is frustrating. (Should be an 100% offline game).

I've spent about $60 on this game because I thought it was the next cool samurai game, but it's SO boring. There's nothing to do! It becomes beyond repetitive after lvl 5. The same 5 enemies to kill over n over n over. There's literally nothing you havent done a thousand times by the time you hit lvl 10. Because it's just collecting wood, stone, feathers and hide. Making 2 basic things like a potion or part of the same quest you've been doing over and over. Micrograms actions up the @$$ too.

First off its great that you have started to implement Wireless controller support, thats always a good step but it seems buggy, i still have to tap on the screen when looting to take items. The graphics and rather standard which is okay because it seems to be the look you were going for. The game does get repetitive pretty quickly. (Finish controller support)

Slow and so many energy packs. I was under the impression this was a bit different but it's like all the other slow progress use energy to progress, it's so dry I couldn't stand to put time into it, especially when they are charging weekly packs for your gear not to get destroyed instantly which happens a lot. Loading screens are atrocious. So many other options to put your time and money into. No sense of rewarding properly.

It's okay but not great. Firstly the graphics are serviceable. The same you'll find in most mobile survival games. The musical score is okay but could definitely do with more variety/intensity. The resource collection in this game is good and works well with perks. Sadly this game doesn't have radiant quests were it desperately needs it. For as many perks as there are level progression is extremely slow. Too slow. All in all it's okay. I'm going to uninstall and wait for later updates.

it's a pretty great narrative. story is engaging and the visuals do just alright. the things that disappoint though are the fighting mechanics for a samurai game the combat is simply tap attack button and tank enemies. I have yet to try the clan features but that feature is one that may lead to a dull experience down the line especially if the other features don't make up for it.

Great graphics and looks like a fun game to play. The time gating on the energy is severely misbalanced. About 15 minutes of play and hours of downtime to wait for energy to refill. Even with other time-recharge energy based games, there is usually an introductory period where energy is readily available to get players used to the flow of the game, and get interested. That isn't the case here. If it wasn't so unplayable, it would be a 5 star game.

Good graphics, good mechanics, BUT, it took about 30 mins playing to realize how stingy this game is for you to level up. Even in the beginning levels. I.E. ton of items need to b picked up to lvl up, but they give you 6 slots. Add 4 more slots for 200 gold. But it takes several days to get that 200 gold. I can't imagine how long it takes for the next level! Like I said, stingy & cheap game. Forces u to use RL money. Deleted.

Fun but Buggy. This is a fun game if you like farming resources, beacause there is a LOT of that. I'm actually having fun rebuilding the castle and making quest items. Honestly, I could do without the PVP arena. Just let me explore, gather resources and kill enemies. Its a beautiful game with calming music that is an excellent distraction. Heck, I'd play this on PC. The problem now is that a bug causes it to crash when I open it, so it's loosing it's appeal. If It's fixed, I'll up the rating.

I like this game a lot so far. LOVE that there is no "energy" mechanic. I wish there was larger inventory space though, I spend a lot of time simply managing inventory. It would be nice to be able to sell extra resources for gold in addition to the order board. It would also be cool to have cooking in the game, I just really like cooking in games. Would be cool to be able to enter buildings too. Fun game so far though.
