We use Dailymotion and this app regularly, but it definitely takes a lot of patience. Difficult to save videos and playlists that I'm able to quickly return to. Difficult at times to search, ie trying to search for a previously watched series/ind. video often requires me to remember the uploaders' handle, otherwise it's frustrating. When creating playlists, you need to make it in reverse of how you want to watch it and can't edit it afterward (at least in the app). Still use it daily though

I had to watch a 7 minute ad which I couldn't skip on my tv in order to watch a show. Sure it was annoying when ads became a thing on this app and I understand that ads are on everything these days, but a 7 minute ad. I've never heard of such a thing! What a compete waste of time. Update: We just had to watch a 9 minute ad. This app is horrible. Please just get rid of the long ads. I don't mind the 30 second to 1 minute ads, the long ones are just insane. A 45 minute show, now takes almost 2 hr

The app needs a lot of quality of life improvements. I use swiftkey, and the search bar doesn't work with autocorret. The app also doesn't have picture in picture or splitscreen. The swipe to scrub in the player is annoying because it's so easy to trigger. I get notifications every day for trending videos by default (although they can be disabled). These wouldn't be such big issues, but the website doesn't have them, so I'd suggest using that instead.

I use this app because it is the only thing that has the show I want to watch. If I had other options, I would definitely use them. The quality of the videos isn't horrible, but it's definitely not the best. Also, there is a crazy amount of adds; and the skip button is behind the mute and full-screen buttons, so very difficult to actually skip. And the picture is mirrored. Words or signs on the screen are backwards, people drive on the wrong side, etc. It's very annoying and can be confusing.

It's got videos! But that's about the only positive thing I have to say about Dailymotion. I don't know if it's that it's trying too hard to be different from YouTube but it's certainly not good. For starters, the app overrides your orientation lock settings, meaning if you rotate your phone the app goes into landscape mode even if your Android settings are set not to. It likes to autoplay things you have no interest in by default (Hint: No one likes this. Make autoplay an option you have to turn on, not something you have to turn off) and there's no background play.

TOO MANY ADS. Literally every 3 minutes there's ads. Constantly. And they show the same ad twice in a row 75% of the time. Sometimes there's an ad that completely breaks and it freezes on the ad so you have to completely close and restart the app... and then have to watch ads again on the video you just watched ads on. It's unbearable. The only thing I use it for is to watch king of the hill because it has all the episodes on it for free, but even then it's not worth it.

It's great that I can stream shows that aren't available on any other platform... however when searching on my fire stick my history isn't saved and when viewing on any other device it auto plays one particular clip when my selected clip ends. Ideally it would play the next clip if they were related or part of a series but not just episode 2 of season 5. I'm also not a fan of the video auto playing when you open the app. I know I am not your target audience but that's my little feedback. Thanks

Love this app but approx over the last 2 mths vids that are paused - ones that I follow- keep going back to the beginning. It is VERY FRUSTRATING. They never use to do that. In addition to that, the vids keep buffering and repeating scenes. I had one last week that repeated a scene 4 times. MOST ANNOYING. I doubt that I am the only one having these problems. PLEASE FIX IT. Thank you.

Won't let me sign in with correct credentials. Attempted to reset password at least 6 times this week alone... automated email arrives just fine, tells me to click link to reset password. I click the link, the app opens... and an "Oops! Something went wrong." error message appears. That's it. No further info or help at all. Fine. I give up. Uninstalling.

2017: App is identical to YouTube which I also can't stand. Firstly, I refuse to watch ads before my videos. Second, when I hit the back button I don't want to continue to watch the video that I'm leaving. That's why I'm leaving it. I believe this 'feature' is only so that ads continue to be played and that you hear a few more seconds of it before you close the background video. So, uninstalling. Update Dec 2019: tried app again. Videos taking forever to load/not loading. Uninstalling again.

This review is for google TV version of the app. 1. Fast forward does not work. Video freezes 2. Skip Ad button. I have no idea how to click it 3. Sometimes after the ad the video restarts from the beginning 4. Lastly why does the same ad shown twice back to back? A different ad will be more interesting. Repeat of the same ad throughout the video is also very irritating to the point that we dislike whatever product is being advertised.

I've used this app for several months now and it's become one of my favorites. There's so much variety and a lot of great content. My favorite aspect is the "watch offline" feature, allowing me to watch my videos offline. **Update** I had problem with the app after an update and contacted Dailymotion about the issue. I really appreciate how quick and helpful the people from DM are. They got the problem solved really fast and also checked with me to see if the problem was resolved on my end too. It was very, very impressive customer service. I use Dailymotion everyday, it's still one of my favorite apps and now I recommend it to everyone (especially after such a great experience working directly with people from Dailymotion)!

The ui is honestly way too finicky for modern standards. Why can't I see the name of the video while watching? Why can't I skip in 30 or 10 second increments? When I accidentally put my finger anywhere on the screen it skips all over the place and it's hard to find my place. The autoplay feature often plays completely irrelevant content. The app disconnects from my casting device when I run it in the background, so I need to reconnect every time a video ends. Inaccurate history. Come on!

I can't stand this app. I honestly think the people leaving good reviews are either lying or being paid to leave good reviews. The video quality sucks and my main problem is ALL THE ADS. It takes forever to watch a half hour show. Some ads are as long as 9 minutes and the skip button is fake. Doesn't work. This app doesn't even deserve one star.

I just did the update recently then boom Playlist gone from phone but tablet had it. I sent an email to support and boom today tablet doesn't have it. Seriously!? Very disappointing that the PLAYLIST is now gone. Private is there (I don't do private) but I had several series on my playlist that are not accessible! I try to save a video my Playlist come up but can't be accessed. I've used dailymotion for over 2yrs exclusively. No commercials & continued shows back to back. Very disappointing.

Used to be good & great was to catch up on programs. Not anymore. Before the update, would do a search for a program, it gave the results and no problems. Today, loogeg in as usual, did a search, got the results, clicked on it and nothing happened. Thought it was cuz needed a update, did update and same problem. Signed out. Came back in with same email & got same problem. Tried different email and still same results. I GIVE UP! All its got now anyway is vids like on Tic Tok!! Don't want that!!

Love the app but playback controls are non existent STILL!! Could we get a 10-second fast forward and rewind buttons along with a skip to the next video and go back to the previous video buttons? Also it'd be cool if when you picked a video out of the playlist on the bottom of the media player that the list didn't go alllll the way back to the begining.
