In the mega virtual internet space cyTus, there exists a mysterious DJ legend Æsir. His music has an irresistible charm; people fall madly in love with his music. Rumor has it that every note and beat of his music hits the audiences in
the depths of their souls.

One day, Æsir, who had never shown his face before, suddenly announced that he will be holding the first mega virtual concert —— Æsir-FEST and will invite a top idol singer and a popular DJ as opening performances. The instant the ticket sales began, an unprecedented rush occurred. Everyone wanted to see Æsir's real face.

On the day of the FEST, millions of people were connected to the event. At one hour before the event started, the previous world record for most simultaneous connection was smashed. The whole city was on its feet, waiting for Æsir to descent from the skies...

Its a lot easier to be motivated to play! Before in the original Cytus the feature where you had a 30 second cool down then you had to watch an add yo get it down to 15 seconds to cool down made it hard to want to pkay especially if you messed up a nearly perfect run and you have to wait 30 more seconds to retry. It's so much easier to retry, i can focus on perfecting my speed and timing without interruption and i already jave favorite songs! 10/10! From an old Cytus fan 💖

I had low expectations, gameplay seemed nothing too special, but the music and flow of the game is second to none. love it Edit: Additionally, the story has to proved to be very very interesting. The method of storytelling though dialog/video logs is certainly very in theme with the world of Cytus II. Character and their relationship with one another are well crafted, the only mildly frustrating aspect is that in order to get the full picture you kinda need all the characters unlocked.

Amazing music. Nice story on the side. It's very pricy if you want to get more songs/characters. I got the bundle for the main characters that are in the story, which saves a lot (went from 90 to 35$). And there are tons more, but each of them being 10$ is rough. Recommend even if you dont get all the characters. If you enjoy the game, then you can get the others.

An outstanding sequel to the original Cytus, which was already one of my favorite rhythm games of all time. Manages to pack a super engaging story in right alongside great music, stunning visuals, and top-notch gameplay. My only slight complaints are the file size and battery drain, both of which are rather large, but well worth it and hardly worth knocking off a star. I haven't tried all the DLC yet, but I can definitely recommend the $10 Miku DLC - easily some of the best songs in the game.

Besides a level locking feature which forces you to play other characters, I like that there is an actual story and it's better than the first game. Even with the level lock it makes me get out of my comfort zone which is refreshing. UPDATE: The fact that they are adding new characters regularly is amazing, and new songs frequently keep me from putting the game down for more than a few days at a time, though I'd recommend a larger screen to play on so as not to strain your eyes. 5 Stars easily.

Weakest of the Rayark rhythm games. By no means a bad game but I generally expect more from Rayark. As someone who is here for gameplay and music, not story, I find it frustrating having to sit through loading screens and lv up segments so that I can get story that I don't care about. On top of that music diversity is severely lacking in the game and I don't find myself drawn to any of the songs like I am in Deemo, Cytus 1, and Voez. While so don't mind any of the new note types, the slow downs and speed ups are not communicated well to the player and I'm always caught off guard by them. Not to mention the lag they cause and that infects the rest of the game makes it nearly unplayable at times especially of higher level songs. Over all a bit of a disappointment for me.

I'm definitely not the target audience for this game: I'm not great at rhythm games and I don't listen to electronic music (If that's what genre this is). However, I've been having a lot of fun with Cytus II and trying to get 1 million points on each song. I also like the artwork for the characters and album covers, it's very stylish. Basically, even if you dont't think rhythm games are for you, I would still give it a shot because I'm glad I did!

This game is crazy fun, however the monetization is ludicrous. This game is already $3 and on top of that you have to play $30 for the rest of the characters/maps which should already be included in the base game and a $5 map pack. I would fine with this if we had more content in the base game, but it is severely lacking. Only 4 characters for $3 and then you pay for the others. Besides this, the game is extremely fun and worth playing. But please add some more free characters/maps/etc.

Best $2 I've spent on Google. The music is nothing short of outstanding. The gameplay is solid. And it's a rhythm game with STORY?? A great story at that. My only gripe is the extra 3 characters that Do come with their own set of tracks, but cost $10 each. Though considering how much I've played the game already, I think it'll be worth the investment. Keep it up Rayark! 💙

Cytus II vastly improves from its predecessor in its styling, story telling, and mechanics. The drive to play the game is spurred on by the story and while it starts slow, a bit grindy at first, it quickly ramps up as the song selection increases overtime and you start hunting perfects. I've killed many hours on flights and on road trips with this game and am extremely happy overall. However, this is only true when it works. Each update has a chance of breaking the game until the next. It's sad.

This game is great and the story is wonderful. The dlc prices are just so out of hand. Especially since it you buy Rayark games in switch, it's a flat rate for all the music. At this point, the amount of dlc is more than the base price of a new video game. That's just too much. Please lower them or just let us buy Cytus 2 outright. This needs to be fixed. Especially with dlc character packs of characters that already are free.

the storyline is amazing, the gameplay is what you would expect out of rayark- easily one of the hardest rhythm games I've ever played. it might seem like you need to pay a lot for basic content, but all the unlockable characters are completely optional to advancing in the plot and the game is extremely solid with only the main characters. though the bonus content does become very tempting after a while, especially since it's easy to be super immersed in this game!

As the other reviews note, and as you've probably read from the description, this game has a fairly neat, unique story told through musicians' social media posts and the comments section of the posts (seemingly adapted from Japanese). The game takes place in the future, where chelos and other contemporary instruments have been long forgotten and are studied by architects. Some musicians are even talking robots. Music of the future is streamed through the Internet, and all concerts are virtual. That is, until now... But when performers try their live, in-person concerts, things start to go wrong, the concerts get cancelled in emergency, and suspiciously, the data regarding the concerts has been corrupted, with witnesses confusing what actually happened. Nobody knows why. Meanwhile, posts/comments reference daily life in the nodes, including a possibly totalitarian government. Aside from the story, the graphics are great, and the gameplay is fun if you fancy music /rhythm games. However, the achievements are quite hard (full combo every song on the highest difficulty), and the DLC, while not essential to understand the story, it helps. But hey, at least there's no pay to win/in-game currency, right? =)

Normally this is a glowing review about how much I love Cytus 2. Having sunk hundreds of hours into it and a few dollars here and there, I enjoy it when I can play it. But this is the second time I've had massive issues with Cytus 2 and what I believe is cloud sync. Each time I play and attempt to sync to the cloud it errors for months, resulting on crashes, or an even worse version where if sync is on, it crashes when booting the game causing it to literally be unplayable. One+ 7Pro is a nogo.

I loved the first Cytus game and I was ecstatic to see a sequel. The sequel is even better and I love it, mostly... you have access to 3 of the playlists which gives you 25-30 songs and their various difficulties. If you want the other 4 playlists however, you better be willing to spend $40. This is why I give it 3 stars. $40 for DLC in a mobile game is ridiculous.

The game itself is fantastic, then music is wonderful, the art is quite nice. Story could use a bit of spell checking and additional content can feel expensive but does feel worth the cost. After a long time the devs finally fixed the game on Pixel, it works perfectly now. I do have issue with the CAPSO system. I think it's a touch expensive for getting access to the content locked in there. Additionally there should be bad luck or duplicate protection. If cost decreases I might buy it.

A huge improvement over the previous title. The music is fantastic and the graphics/effects have a better play feel than the original Cytus. My main issue is that the cloud save is spotty and I wish there was a more reliable way to transfer accounts, especially since I did buy DLC characters. When I was a free player, this was less of an issue, but now I'm afraid to take the game of my phone or transfer to another device. I've had to start over in the past, but now the idea is terrifying.

So I had loved this game for years and made a prior complaint review a month or two back about not being able to unlock characters I had purchased in 2018-2019. Figured that issue out, only to realize I still don't have songs I once had, like those that are now locked behind the Emotion Samples 02 pack. Really disappointed because my favorite song to play, "What's Your PR.Ice", is in that pack and I can't play the song that I specifically re-downloaded the game again to play.

The best story game I've ever had the pleasure to play and be a part of honestly. The music and characters used are phenomenal. After the updates and getting a new phone, the saving isn't really well. I've lost almost 25 dollars in in game purchases also progress which I can't have back. Over all. No other game like it. Definitely worth the time and money. Just add more songs to the dlc characters.

I love this game. I feel like so many aspects of the first have just been improved on. I will say though, it's a little annoying having to buy so much. I get it, you have to make money, but you buy the game just to find out you have to also buy more than half the characters AND a bunch of songs in the free character soundtracks. It's a bit obnoxious but I'm not rating it lower because of that. Nordlys doesn't work and that's been pointed out before and nothings been done about it. Please fit it
