An excellent game with a rps combat. The only thing stopping me from 5 stars is something you hear over and over with this title. The font is BRUTAL! Reading it is possible, but eventually I get a headache from the small size and mixture of the dark background(and darker graphics) and the thin very white text. With very simple changes this problem could be a thing of the past! Customizable size, font, and color would make all the difference.

This is a well designed, thematic game that I've already enjoyed on the PC. I like it enough to buy it twice, but unfortunately the initial release was not compatible with my Android device. I sent the developer a note asking if they could add my device to the compatible list, hoping that in a few months they might get to it. But they did it in days. So this is five stars for the game, but also for the team behind it. Between the detail and design in the game, and the brief interaction I had with the team that created it, it could not be clearer that they care about doing an amazing job.

Underrated game. I read several negative reviews regarding the plot and game play online. After completing the full campaign, I can safely say that the plot is interesting and well done though not wholly original within the realms of classic science fiction (Hyperion, dune). The gameplay is shallow but fulfilling. The act of navigating systems and making event decisions is very sleek. I do wish that encounters were more varied and ground expeditions had more interaction. Also the art is great!

Well, to start, I am a fan of Dune and Foundation. So I decided to buy this game. It's worth the cost, don't get me wrong. I would recommend you buy it if you like science fiction. But the strategy is kind of basic with little depth in battle mode. Plus many enemies will offer a truce for rewards if you cease attacking them, usually when you are winning anyways. Sometimes I can beat an opponent by laser attacks alone. It just doesn't feel "strategic" in my opinion. E.g. kick down the door sorry?

I've been looking for a good paid game and bumped into this. This rogue like adventure is really fun. Not a fast paced game (not a bad thing) and the battles are engaging and take some good thinking to win. The risk reward scenarios add to the fun as well. I play on my note 9's stylus. I think the interface works really well on this port of the game. If using fingers, it might be a little frustrating but that's a guess... don't let it deter you. Give this a shot! I have no regrets :)

Hands down the best mobile game I've ever played. Pros: Great Pixel art Fun Combat Cheap Hours of enjoyment Great story! You get constant refreshers so the game doesn't punish you for putting it down. Gripes: By chapter 2/3 you know all the beacon event choices to make, and you just repeat them over and over again. I would pay for a PC version of this game that had 3-4x more events, and story options. The ship selection is a little lack luster.

Awesome gameplay, great graphics, intuitive controls, and a gripping story. The atmosphere is engaging, and combat is consistent without becoming stale. There are no ads, no IAP, and plenty of hours of replayability. It's a great value, and it will really hit the spot for anyone wanting console/PC level gaming on mobile.

This is a terrible game.... If you plan on being productive or if you hate watching hours of the day "magically" disappear. Starts a little slow but stick with it, this is truly a gem of a game. There is a constant sense of tension that feeds that one-more-turn itch. No microtransactions, no ads, just an amazing game. If I had one nitpick, it's that sometimes the battles run a bit long. Crying Suns get the highest possible recommendation I can give for this type of game.

Revised: Running on Pixel 3XL. Run without logging into Google Play in-game and you should not have trouble. I appreciate the developers responding so quickly to my review. Plays with a map interface similar to FTL and includes some other elements into a brilliant and beautiful game experience. Game load time is acceptable and file size is pretty good. The in game text is really tiny and there is no option to enlarge text. This leads to quite a bit of eye strain. This is something that could easily be done without compromising the game. Fix this and I will give the game 5 stars.

HOLY COW THIS GAME IS PHENOMENAL Not going to lie - kind of a steep learning curve for a mobile game. But it's so immersive, absorptive, and fascinating that it's impossible not to adore it once you finally figure things out. At it's core, it's a simplistic game of chance - but dressed up with strategy and planning and graphics and storyline and everything else means that everyone can find something to get invested in. Wonderful!!!!!

Probably a great game, but the unskipable cutscenes and mountains of dialogue make it tough to start. I'm not sure what the actual gameplay is like because after 10ish minutes of reading and tapping through dialogue, I uninstalled. I've done that 3 times now, maybe one day I'll make it through.

Learning curve at the beginning was a bit steep, not having played this particular turn based strategy layout and some of the details on the officer's skills and unreadable, which is annoying when trying to understand which ones to pick. But the restart mechanism and overall gameplay and story are 10/10!

I just barely beat this big boss, my phone was struggling through it too, making it hard to pause, and what follows is a lengthy conversation, but I had to get off the subway, and thus it did not save my win. There is a version of this on Steam, skip straight to that version, this is not well made for being on the go, and you will struggle to pause the game which is essential, on many phones.

First of all its free and no ads. This game is marvelous in so many ways. The entire story was deep intriguing full and fleshed out with multiple paths to go through as admiral idaho (makes me think of mashed potatoes). The dialogue the characters and the encounters are all rich with personality yet a cold air to distinguish all of their experience for what its like to live in a post-apocalyptic neo-neutrinium space adventure. I had such a grand time playing this game. I could go on. 499.

Amazing game!!! If you've ever played FTL (Faster Than Light), then you'll love this game. The graphics, atmosphere, and storytelling are really good. Every time I play, I get immersed in the story. The gameplay is great as well. The various events that happen are always interesting and varied in their outcomes. The combat is engaging and requires strategic use of all of the tools at your disposal to win battles. There's so much more I could say about this game, but I highly recommend it.

They need to have someone who didnt work on the game to help make instruction on how to play it. Very confusing and frustrating to be forced to read a bunch of irrelevent stuff while finding no information about how to move/attack/anything. Forcing the player through battles doesnt teach battles, it teaches reading and skipping reading. Stopping action to to talk to me doesnt teach me how to fight, it makes me want to skip it AND the fight and do it on my own because stopping isnt the game.

Even when you beat the first chapter you then have to start over in the next chapter. The game is very cool until you have restarted the game three times and feel like its going to be like this until the rng aspect of the game lets you advance. I really like the game but it was made in a way that you are just rolling a dice to see if you get lucky. I tried easy mode, it helped. Although a lot of the game is horribly designed it does have an excellent storyline that really keeps you playing.

Fun little game with a good story. The mechanics are a little hard to grasp and there does seem to be an in game description of what some things do. (System heat for example) otherwise it's decent and worth the time and money. Probably better on a bigger screen though. On my phone the combats are pretty delicate and hard to follow.

One of the most engaging mobile games I've played in a while. Story, the choice system, etc. are all fantastic. However, some battles can be tedious and a bit frustrating at times. Certain enemy ships can be OP even when you have proper counters, such as longbows. It feels silly to get merc'd by one class of ship when you have a literal hanger full of counter class ships, and it's not an "elite" enemy. Sometimes, it can be easy to mix your units up with the enemies during a battle as well.

Great game, learning curve is what makes it so rewarding. Each ship unlocked has a different strategy to learn rather than being a series of more powerful ships. Procedurally generated maps/scenarios so each playthrough is different. Did encounter same scenarios a few times, but enjoyed letting them play out differently. Story, artwork, soundtrack excellent quality. Controls were intuitive and easy to learn. Replayability is also great using different ships and strategies to go though the story.
