2 GAME MODES
Choose from standard gameplay, where letters must be placed crossword-style next to existing ones (e.g. change 'rabble' to 'scrabble'), and 'Tile Stacking' mode, where new tiles can also be dropped on top of old ones (e.g. 'scrabble' becomes 'scramble').
28 BOARD LAYOUTS
Tired of the same board each game? Choose a new layout, ranging from the classic 15x15 squares up to 21x21, or have the computer pick one at random.
10 BOARD STYLES
Tailor the board's appearance to your own personal taste. You can even choose your own colors.

Choose from three tile allocation methods: 'Random' for pot luck; 'Balanced' for a more predictable draw; or 'Helpful' to maintain an even spread of letters across your rack.

Fun and educational game. it doesnt have too many ads and is a good way to relax your mind before falling asleep as well as challenge your brain ro get creative and learn new words.

Love it. Am quite addicted and love to dip into it throughout the day. It's very good and satisfying. The fact that there are no ads makes it even more appealing. Have recommended it to several friends. Definitely 5 stars.

This game is simple to play & helps when you have an illness which affects the brain! It is vital to keep challenging it. I also like to have a game when Im a bit low as it makes me focus.

Finally! A fun and challenging word game that has virtually no advertisement. Just a five second as between games. Hallelujah! The game is fun and you can keep thing straight forward and simple if you choose. Nothing silly like collecting vases or stickers or whatever. A game one can truly enjoy. Well done folks!

Second review, years after my first one. Still my favourite crossword game online, and yes I do play others from time to time to compare. There is NO competition. CrossCraze is intuitive and fun. My first review gave 5 Stars. This review I would give a higher number of stars were it an option, so I'm stuck with... FIVE STARS. Good stuff, Ort!

I've been playing this game almost daily for the past 7 years. Everytime I got a new phone I downloaded it because I love it. Not only is it a great way to relax and pass the time. You can play on or offline. Online stores your game play, plus you can earn google game points towards your Google game play score.

Great game. Ads are unobtrusive and the ai is variable enough to be helpful to novices or challenging to pros. Glad I got it. PS: After playing a few days, and losing a few games, I recommended to the author that "You Lose" was rather harsh. I suggested "Player Two Wins" would be more positive. I suppose several people might have made the same suggestion. I was pleased to see this change in the last update.

This game has no online multiplayer functionality. It does have some interesting features, like being able to customize board layout, but it's kind of moot when you can only play the ai. Speaking of the ai it's horrifically tough at higher levels unless you nerf it with (basically cheat) settings. I would be fine with that, but it's playing with a dictionary that is pretty questionable. Many crossword game standards don't work while other words that are questionable are used by the ai.

May 18, 2021 The game has performed very well since I followed the developer's advice on settings. However, in the last two days a new problem has cropped up: finish a game, exit out and sometime later go back to play a new game....and the previous game is still active, minus the last winning move. UPDATE: As of 5/29/21, the problem has been fixed. Thank you!

I have this app on two phones, one that is fully functional and this one which I use to browse the internet or play this game. I bought the pro for one time fee of $10 which was totally worth it to support the developer. I played Scrabble since I was a child but this one has an extra stacking feature where you can put tiles over other tiles to make new words, and with the pro version, there's ability to choose different types of board layouts. Dev is responsive if you have a problem.

I love this app! This is the least invasive app I found in terms of the ads. In fact, there is none that pops up while playing game. You see ads after a game for a few seconds with an option to mute. It is very cool that players can set the level of challenge and how the screen operate beforehand. It is the best scrabble app I used so far!

Thank you! Ty! Ty! Absolutely LOVE this game! I have tried other scrabble games but all wants you to go facebook and play against others. My husband and I used to pass a lot of enjoyable hours playing scrabble. Now he is no longer able. This brings back good memories. I prefer playing against computer but yet you can change how challenging from beginning levels to ultra hard.

Been awhile since I played this game, and I have to say, LOVE the update! Since I'm a very casual player, I greatly appreciate being shown as I play whether or not a word is actially valid. The game has an excellent AI, that truly becomes gradually more difficult to play against at each level, instead of going from too easy, to utterly evil. I've had this game on a phone or tablet since I had the Samsung Captivate, and it's given me HOURS of entertainment.

Great free Scrabble game for 1-2 players. You can get hints on words to play and be told what the highest scoring word you can play or just have the game tell you what the best word was after you play w/out help. AI opponent has many levels. You can edit the allowable words + change the boards look. The game also keeps statistics on each player over time.

This is a beautiful game, but it has problems. The animations are smooth and beautiful, but very slow and you can't turn them off. Some obviously useful features are missing. You must double tap to shuffle your tiles, but there is a ton of empty space between the Hint and Swap buttons and in and around the scorebox. Plenty of room for a shuffle button. When the computer wins, you can't see the final score. The potential score of a word only stays there for two seconds. Out of characters...

One of the better scrabble apps out there if you don't care to play online. It's a little unpolished and slow, but it's not bloated with unnecessary features or flashy UI. You can set the difficulty on a 1-10 scale and choose from a few different board layouts, both very nice features. Definitely miles better than the mainstream scrabble apps right now!

1)There are many detail options available in playing just one game of CrossCraze scrabble, making it easily tailored to each person's preferences. 2) Such a well-designed game with no flaws or glitches and it's free to download. 3) the game is designed so that you have the option to play against yourself or against the computer at various and controlled levels of difficulty which I prefer, rather than being forced to play online against other people. Excellent game. 5-star!
