Hardly ever works the way it should. It stops playback shortly after you start playing any message and then takes quite a while to get it started again. Also takes at least several days to signal your voicemail system when you have listened to or deleted any messages. Sometimes longer than that. Have also had app completely crash at times.

One year later....Still the worst app ever. Shows I have international voicemails, but they don't load. Previously it was slow to load voicemails, but it worked. Update: clearing the app and cache data resolved the issue where I now can see the international messages (at least right now). Upped the rating slightly while monitoring.

Since the app was updated for Android 10 I have been unable to update it on my Moto e5 cruise running version 8.0. The update downloads, but does not install. I have tried clearing the cache and data for Google Play Store and rebooting. The results are unchanged. This happened a second day, after trying the above, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the app. Since the app is considered a system app, only its updates uninstalled. This left me with an even older version that will not update.

This is a great idea for people with hearing loss, like me. Being able to see what's being said is helpful. However, the text, every time, has gaps or incorrect/mispelled words. And recently, my voice-mails have even started overlapping each other, with the text from new messages getting buried under text from an old message. Not sure what can be done, and I'd really rather not uninstall and reinstall the app. I only have 6 saved messages, but it's important that I keep them.

Worst app ever! I've had it for 3 years and it has worked sporadically but transcription has always been terrible, constant uninstall and reinstall to make it work, but since the 8/18 update it won't load at all, I am stuck in a loop that tells me to call voicemail and hang up! If you can't fix this app then you need to allow call forwarding so that I can download a voicemail that works! Since last reinstall it hasnt even tried to transcribe anything!

Worked nicely at first. Now it doesn't transcribe the messages. It doesn't even notify me when I have new messages. I have to go into settings and refresh the app to get the new messages. Not helpful. Edit 1.22.19 I noticed the app updated after my review, so now I get notifications (I added a star for the fix). However the voicemails are not being transcribed. Please fix this. Thank you.

This app does not work on Android P. During setup it asks for "old password" & "new password". Why would i have to change my password to use visual voicemail in the first place? Ok, so i play along anyway. As soon as i hit submit i get "Password not saved, please check your APN settings and try again" !! Following this, the app proceeds to show an "updating mailbox" screen that just sits and spins forever until the end of time. Unfortunate, the app used to work fine.

I, like many others here, had the bug where voicemails would pause after 5 seconds with the previous version of the app. Once you hit play a second time it worked fine though. With the latest update, it doesn't pull in voicemails and instead does nothing on launch, saying you have no voicemails. If you then go to the three dots and go to refresh, "No connectivity" will repeatedly flash across the bottom of your screen until you close/leave the app.

This app has been buggy the entire time I've used it. I've been a Cricket customer for just about a year and I'm fine with the phone service, but the visual voicemail is horrible. I have to double tap any function to make it work.. New voicemail? Double tap on the selection to open it. Want to hear it? Double tap the play button to make it play. Ready to delete? Yep... Double tap. And I don't mean "rapid tapping" .. I literally mean two taps.. Like, tap.... Nope... Tap again... Ok, let's do that.. Also, every voicemail I listen to will stop about 7 seconds in and I have to pull the phone from my ear and press play again. (yes, twice) Always. Every time. Like I said... The phone service is fine, but this app is horrendous.

Good when it works. There is currently an update that downloads, presumably gets installed, then craps out with an error message. Per troubleshooting tips, I deleted cache and data for both the app and play store, and have restarted my phone. Still won't update after several rounds of trying these suggestions. Not the first time I've had this problem. The tips are generic and it seems like a shoddy and/or poorly tested app. Not good.

****UPDATE ***** Works great !! So nice to see the voice-mail but the only problem I have seen lately is that it might not get the words correct and you have to try and make since of the message.... .Most of the time it will not show up and when it does it has the old message on it and than can not repeat the message correctly so you end up needing to guess

This used to be a good app, but now the voice mails get mixed up as to who and when they are from, or don't even show up in the app at all. Very disappointed in the turn this app has taken. Update: After clearing the cache and data, the voice mails started showing up, so far, they seem to be accurate. I appreciate the speedy response from the developers, and will wait to see how it goes from here.

Like everyone else is reporting, this app is no longer functional. Although I get notifications from my Samsung phone that I have voicemail waiting, this app shows none, and when I hit 'refresh' I only get a flashing notification at the bottom saying "No connection". Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but get the same thing. It's too bad because I loved it before this new update essentially caused it to stop working.

I've had this app for 10+ years now and very little changes if any that I've noticed have been made. Everytime you listen to a voicemail or skip through them, the notification sound goes off constantly. You can't select anything in this app without hearing that sound. You cannot turn that sound off, I've tried. It's only while your in the app going through the different options that it sounds. It's not the voicemail app notification itself. You would think this would be fixed by now.

I strongly recommend not using this app, it has been nothing but problems after every update! When it wouldn't setup I called Cricket and got someone who couldn't speak English for squat and had no clue what he was doing! I installed PF visual voicemail and had no problems with it loading up and working properly! Not to mention it has a lot more convenient features!

This visual voicemail app is very convenient but it has corks that need fixed. When I press the play and speaker phone button the voicemail begins to play but then cuts off. So then you have to press play and speaker phone again to listen to the message but then it cuts off again. Keep pressing the buttons you eventually hear the entire message. Also if I want to send the voicemail message to someone through a text that feature does not work on my phone either. But it might be my phone because it works on my mom's. I am going to uninstall this app hoping it'll fix these little corks. Then I'll reinstall it to see if any changes. I like that I don't have to dial into my voicemail to listen to each message. With this app I can see who left a voicemail and choose which one to listen to right away. Download this app, try it!

App is just poorly programmed. Prior versions would download messages, but would either not allow them to play (buttons did nothing) or with the last updated version only play with a 5 second pause. Newest version is yet another sign of poor programming as it lacks the ability to do anything as it no longer connects. Not sure if this is outsourced, but the absolute lack of quality in the app programming is just amazing. Users are not nitpicking either, this app just went from bad to unusable.

When I disabled this app and bring it back, it works fine. But when it gets up dated it's so hard, frustrating, to listen to messages. After four seconds, it shuts off. Or move the phone, it shuts off the message. Plus I have to double click the start symbol and double click speaker symbol to get them to work. Most of the time I have to do this two or three times to listen to messages. Very frustrating!! Update: After writing this, I had a pop up telling me how to correct this problem with changing the voicemail phone number. So we will see. Update: as long as this app doesn't update, it works good. Changing the voicemail phone number didn't matter. I had metro PC's for many years. Never no problems with voicemail. Voicemail is important to me. Maybe I should go back to metro pcs.

insufficient storage? where? recently I cannot listen to any new voicemail received as it says insufficient storage, delete old messages first. I did that with only the 3 new messages showing, and still the same message appears and I cannot hear my messages from this app. 0 stars because it's no longer working or useful. no update was available on the app, so I un-installed and reinstalled with the same result

I've never gone out of my way to review anything except this. The notifications are vague and convey no info other than "you have voicemails" When I tap them, they seem to disappear, much like the nonexistent effort put into the design of the interface (that being a nauseating list of black numbers against a white background) The AI has the hearing of an old man and I have to manually reload the page like I'm checking my email. Incidentally, braille text is more "visual" than this app.
