I have not had success yet with Google assistant working with it. Otherwise very easy app, once you figure it out. A little bit of a notification lag on push message, but the app directly is on the money. The best part is that it informs "how long" the door has been opened or closed. Makes it easier than just what time it closed. So leave that alone, no improvements please.

It's ok not as good as the old app when Sears(Craftsman) ran it. It's not as sensitive when trying to open and close. You have to repeatedly tap the open/close button because of this. I've called several times to suggest they tweak it but no fix for now. Also they need to implement a dark theme like the old app. The old app was just smoother overall.

UPDATE: It seems this app is the OLD Version and has been replaced by a MyQ app with a blue background // The android app doesn't work anymore. The IPadOS App *Does* work (it's just the iphone app, so i presume that works too). My guess is they changed something in the sign-in/start-up process on the servers and only updated the iOS (apple) app. I tried going back two versions on the app and it was no different, so this appears to be server side incompatibility issues.

It's nice to be able to open the garage door without using the old push button remote, when the battery got low you almost had to drive through the garage door before it would open. That's all changed now that it's on my cell phone. This new craftsman door opener is the best I've ever had it's super quiet belt driven and the cats don't even know that I'm coming home anymore!

It works, lots of bells and whistles that I don't use but I suppose some people do. But I can't believe there's no dark/night theme setting. Pulling into my long dark driveway with rocks on either side, my eyes adjusted to the dark. i certainly love to have your a bright white app come up. I don't understand why you don't have a dark theme, pretty much every other app does.

Yep, app update seems to have frozen it on my splash screen, as well. However, "myq garage and access control" seems to be the same app with a different skin. I uninstalled Craftsman myq, then installed myq garage and access control, and logged in using my same credentials, and the app recognized my opener instantly, opens the door, gives me notifications, etc. Good luck!

Edited from 1 to 3 stars: Turns out the previous homeowner's wifi settings were still in the garage door opener, and it was buried in the manual that those needed to be cleared to input new wifi settings. It still took 3 tries to reset the old settings. Once cleared out, it still took 3 tries to connect to my 5 bars of internet, and now it is working just fine, but there's gotta be a simpler way implement.

UPDATE: Thank you, Chris Jay, for your helpful review. The app has been updated to a blue icon titled, myQ garage door and access (no longer red). I installed the new version, signed in with my same account info and was able to open my garage. I have been using this app for over a year and it has worked great. Suddenly this week approx 11/15/2022 it stopped working. Like many others here I have checked my settings, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing works. Please fix this!

It use to work fine, now it tries to load and then crashes. At times I depend on this to gain access to my house. Thank God I had my keys on me or I wouldn't have a way in. Update 12/1/2022 I downloaded the blue myQ app, put in my information and it worked. I'm back up and running. I had to delete the craftsman one for the other one to download. Write down your username and password before deleting.

Does not work at all for over a week. It would appear that this app is no longer available. I figured out if you completely UNISTALL it so it is out of you system then go and download the app that is in blue and goes by MyQ only, I was able to log in with my old user name and password from the red one and it all works. The blue one will not install unless you uninstall the red one!

We recently moved into a new house and the previous homeowner used this app. It worked for a week, but ever since then it does nothing but freeze on the loading page. Without a doubt, the clunkiest and junkiest app I've ever dealt with, what makes it worse is now I can't get my door open unless we have an opener which defeats the purpose especially when people are coming in and out doing home renovations while I'm at work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times.

Check app compatibility on your device before buying. I bought it specifically to open/ close my garage door from my android 11 head unit in my car which is compatible with everything except the MyQ app. They told me there are no plans to make it compatible. I can use my phone but it's much easier to use the remote that came with the opener. Make it work and definitely 5 stars. Oh, the terrible beeping noise it makes when remote closing is disgusting - I will figure out how to disable that.

Updated review on Dec. 23 2022 This app quit working in October. Just about the same time the newest update was issued. It always stalls on the boot up screen and the circle stops moving. PLEASE FIX THIS! I have been using this for several years but in last couple of weeks it freezes up before it loads onto the screen. Something in the programming must be date related.

I saw an update for 1/6/2023. Hoped that the app will work itself and save this app a 1* rating. After the update, it didn't do jack! It still hangs on the loading screen, and then a pop-up for the "app not responding". Anyone who brought a craftsman garage opener to use the smart features, get an iPhone cause it still works over there, or go a different brand garage smart opener; home assistant bypass this issue still.

Got this installed, downloaded the app and followed directions. It worked fine for a month and now today, the app is not working. It freezes and won't even open up. I've tried Uninstalling and reinstalling it several times and the app, still does not open. I've also updated to the latest version and still does the same thing. I should have went with my first choice, Chamberlain.

Update: there is a new app called myQ that has a blue logo instead of the red. I downloaded it and logged in. It works great and had my garage recognized and ready to go! I wish they had updated this app instead of making a new one and just letting this one fail without warning. For the last month or two this app has not worked. It will open, then just freeze and close. I've tried uninstalling and downloading it again, but nothing works. Super frustrating.

The app stopped working and will not load . The initial logo splash screen shows a spinning circle that stops spinning and the app becomes unresponsive. Useless at this point. It has worked well in the past so it would seem to be a recent app update issue? Obviously the developer doesn't give a rip since they haven't responded to any of the reviews regarding this issue. I haven't tried the Liftmaster (Chamberlain) version of the MyQ app yet. Others here have said it works...
