App itself its alright, two main things I highly dislike The fact newcomers are able to jump to any module in a set course, makes the content that u experience just to repeat itself for about three lessons in a row. Second, some of the text is small in the PowerPoints, and the only way to zoom (keep in mind you are still fullscreen) is using accessibility tools on your phone. There should be a zoom feature to see the text better.

This is a very nice app, that allows to do almost everything one needs to do in order to complete a Coursera course (with the exception of writing, submitting and peer grading peer-graded assignments). There are a few bugs though, that seem to be easy to fix, yet are infuriatingly annoying, because they pop their ugly heads every single time one opens the app. The first one is that once you open an app, it keeps refreshing a couple of times, and you can't do anything until it's done, because no matter what you do, it will bring you back to the main screen. The other one is that videos you've watched do not appear as completed until after you've reset and restarted the app. The third one is that progress within a video is not retained across app restarts. If you fix just these 3 issues, it's a 5-star app.

Got a free trial, only to not be allowed to take courses unless I cancel the trail pay 39$ a month and $150 for each class. Why advertise free certification if it's not free? Won't give me the option to cancel. Followed the steps, and still won't let me cancel the 7 day trail until I pay the monthly fee!!! I have to wait to be charged so I can hopefully get a refund. What a waste of time. Scammers.

Very good app, better than I expected. I have been using Coursera for several weeks now, but am only just trying the app. The only things I wish it had are (1) a wishlist function to save courses you'd like to take later and (2) a way to take and save notes (or even better, use the notes function built into the website). Other than that, great work!

Although I've been enjoying the courses and assignments, the app itself is pretty terrible. I usually have to refresh several times to find the class and then after watching the videos, the app doesn't register that I've watched them. Additionally, I can't see my graded/reviewed work or review my peers' work on the app- I have to go to a computer to do that. Since I don't have easy access to a computer (only tablets and phones), I feel uncertain about whether I want to take more courses.

Very slow, videos can't play properly, and courses are not at all optimized for mobile, so they are full of bugs that crash videos and prevent tasks from being completed. Excellent on a computer. Complete trash on a phone as no effort was made to adapt anything to mobile. Portrait and landscape flips crash the app. Searching for classes crashes the app. Looking sideways at your phone crashes the app.

Your new app update is not intuitive and less visually appealing than it was before. I am frustrated that I can't take a multiple choice exam on my app, but can it be on a laptop bc it was designed for a larger screen? You have the ability to make it fit phones as well. You guys pride and sell yourself on being able to learn wherever at your own convenience. Having to relocate to a computer to take a multiple choice test when it could fit on the phone isn't convenient at all.

Following my course was made smooth sailing thanks to this app. Only problems that I had was that the Android version doesn't sync immediately if I were to continue the course on another device. It can get frustrating if you don't remember the last video you watched. Another is that the app doesn't keep track of how long you watched a video, only if you completed it or not. I can watch 14 minutes of a 20 minute video, quit, and then come back to have the timer start back at zero. I did love the video quality, though.

The intuitive design makes it incredibly easy to use. Navigating through different features is a breeze, thanks to the well-thought-out layout that ensures a seamless user experience. One of the standout features for me is the app's efficiency in helping me manage my schedule, set reminders, and even collaborate with others effortlessly. The developers have clearly invested time in optimizing performance, resulting in a smooth experience. This app has exceeded my expectations.

Horrible app and website and system, whether Android or Apple, and the website is bad as well. Something as simple as rewinding a few seconds cannot be done easily. Any video website like YouTube, you can easily double click on the left side of the video and it would rewind a few seconds, even porn sites have that. Why on earth is something so simple not available on an educational platform called Coursera?! Ridiculous. Also normal for all course progress to disappear! Horrible

I like that this platform makes the material available at a competitive cost, but the user experience is awful when it comes to quizzes. Multiple choice questions are terribly formatted, so you can't read the questions and the possible responses without having to scroll up and down over and over again. It's really tedious and has led to unnecessary mistakes on my part several times. It's made me very reluctant to trust this platform for UX or front-end development courses. The rest is fine.

I like that I can listen to audio-only versions of the videos (great for a commute); that the app remembers my last-set speed setting; and that it has an auto-play feature that automatically moves to the next video. This app works great for video-and-quiz-based courses, but the desktop version is better when completing programming assignments in Jupyter notebooks.

Some classes are good, but make sure it's a free one. The subscription ones, they don't send a receipt via mail or email for monthly charge. Banking on you forgetting. But they do send tons of promotional emails. Didn't show in my Google play subscriptions either which they claim is why they don't send receipts. You can request a receipt, but you should ethically get sent an invoice/receipt for every charge.

This app really adds to the experience of learning from Coursera. I needed a particular set of skills to land a new job. Coursera is allowing me to do that for cheap and even present a certificate to interested parties. This app has all the same features that the website has. So this is great when I want to walk around and listen to the videos instead of sitting and watching them. Plus, my phone can do things that are harder to do on the computer. For example, I like using. talk to text.

The app would be an easy 5 star, but on quizzes, I constantly get questions and it only gives me 1 answer option. I know the answer is wrong, but I have no choice but to choose this answer. When the test is 10 questions long and this happens 3 times and I need at least an 80 to pass, this is a problem. I don't even get the chance to pass the quiz. It wastes my time, and I'm hopping this review will bring attention to the matter and it will be resolved. 2 stars until this is resolved.

While using the app, has quizzes that need to be done. On multiple choice there is consistently only one option to choose and it's usually the wrong answer. So basically people are unable to use this app to progress through a course unless they want a bad grade. There is rather unfortunate for an app that is about learning and taking quizzes. It's pretty horrible really that they fail you on quizzes because their app is broken.

So easy to use! I started my course in Project management on my laptop and shortly after my hard-drive broke and I was able to continue the course from my phone without skipping a beat! Simple, structured, and engaging! An incredible resource for anyone looking to earn a certification or/and work towards a degree while living your regular life.

I love the courses' structure and material. They are extremely easy to follow and they don't overload you with too much material at once. I wish there were even more courses available because it has been very helpful so far with the courses I have taken. The mobile app is great for learning in the go and not having to be tied down to a computer.

I'm loving Coursera in general so far but wish I could use the app more so I can use my e-ink tablet, which is much easier on my eyes. I'm big on taking notes/highlighting so it's pretty inconvenient to only able to do that on desktop. Crossing my fingers they add this function to the app soon because using the laptop/phone screens is making it hard to get my work done 🤞

This app is great. I get to continue from the website to my phone. I don't know what others are saying about quizzes having just 1 question. I experienced that once and thought I should update the app which fixed it. One downside would be that it doesn't sync when going into the course. I usually have to exit and go back into the course or app for it to actually sync. Also, it would be great if it didn't automatically mark an exercise/reading as complete when you didn't actually complete it.
