Disabled app and older camera model that were better. Can no longer see baby moments from sounds or motions that baby makes in the night unless you pay them for cloud storage? The original model kept 24 hours of moments stored right in the app so you could see if they moved or made sound in the night. This is just a live feed and doesn't allow you to use the audio unit any longer, which was one of the main reasons we got this baby monitor. Total bait and switch for less features. Not recommended

The new camera won't even connect. If I could give zero stars I would. There was nothing wrong with the old camera. Nothing! Yet this company decides they want to discontinue it and force us to use an "upgraded" version. No matter what I did, the camera would not connect to the new app. The code wouldn't work, it wouldn't work manually. I am beyond disappointed and irritated. The camera wide view was perfect. No other baby cameras compare to the old one. Good job losing customers!

Who knew an upgrade could be such a downgrade? It's a good thing they gave us this for free because I wouldn't have paid a dime to get this low quality camera/app. The apps sound goes in and out WHILE in the app, and when you go back to your homescreen it completely shuts off. I thought it could be fixed going into audio settings and changing it to the option to have sound on when the app is running in the background. Guess what? Still doesn't stay on as soon as you go out of the app. Great job!

Pretty terrible so far. The other platform should have not been canceled until the bugs on this one were fixed. I received no notices or alerts and didn't hear my son ONCE the entire night. Yet when I checked the camera, he was sitting up and calling. I had already unmuted the sound (which is annoying), but apparently as soon as I put it in the background, it was all muted again. Not being able to hear my child pretty much defeats the purpose of a monitor.

Worst camera and app on planet Earth. Within 5 mins you will lose connection every single time. You CANNOT switch between multiple cameras. Yes the function exists on the app, but it has never successfully worked without crashing. It allegedly records motion and sound events. My son (2) got out of his bed, walked halfway across his room and fell back asleep on the floor. I have zero recording of this despite having the settings set to the record even the slightest movement.

We receiving this product from stellar to be tested. Its may be small but we found it to be a perk. It looks like it belongs anywhere we placed it. The app is user friendly and made setting it up really fast. Picture quality is on point. The ability to add a micro SD card and not have to save to your phone or server is my favorite part. 5 starts I highly recommend.

Bad night vision. App is trying to be a central hub and doesn't work well as a camera. Have to turn the sound back on CONSTANTLY. Stay as far away as possible. Update: the video freezes while you are actively watching it, too. If I couldn't hear my child through the wall crying, I would not have known he was in distress.

If you brought this camera, please return it now! 1. Bad business practice. Like everyone said, they discontinued the previous product (which was just as terrible as this current product). Cameras just stopped working and everyone was left with a perfectly fine hardware with no working software. To top it off they gave old customers a coupon so you can buy their new product. 2. Short version of all the things that are wrong with this new product: everything is glitchy. It's NOT worth it.

Complete garbage & subscription cash grab at it's finest. Long time user of previous generation which had faults but worked. The lo-lights are as follows: background audio doesn't work well and it gets worse once you turn the screen off, night vision is not clear at all to the point you can't even tell what you're looking at from 5 ft away, and the app closes on its own even after being tweaked for performance. Got for free from the mfg. but will be buying a different brand that actually works.

I received this safety 1st monitor as part of stellar product testing panel. I was glad to find it aesthetically pleasing and fit well with my decor. The app was easy to install and set up. I really enjoyed how easy it is to zoom in with the touchscreen and even though you can't control it's movements with your phone the view is wide enough to see the whole room. My only qualm was sometimes the app took a long time to load the camera. I found it disconnecting pretty often, making it unreliable.

This thing is awful. I pull it up half the time and it doesn't work yet it works on my husbands. We both have the same phone and wifi signal. Then it doesn't work for his phone too. Same retrieving signal junk but doesn't do anything. We close the app and reopen it blah blah. No updates to run. Honestly, we rely on the cheapo 30 dollar monitor more.

The app is struggling and is unable to connect my phone to the camera roughly half the time. This also happens with my wife's phone.This is pretty bad. But when it works, it works ok. The camera also makes lots of clicking noises when it is not sure if it should toggle on night mode or not. That attracts the attention of the little child, who is now scared of it because of all the weird clicking. Again, not ideal. If I had to buy a baby monitor, I would look elsewhere first. Not a happy customer

The app was easy to install and get up and running with the physical monitor. The best part about it is that when used for travel (I just tossed it in the diaper bag with the power cord and off we went!) it automatically connects to your phone application again - just be sure to be on the 2.4g wifi or it won't connect at all (still not set up for 5g wifi! most monitors aren't). Thanks SO MUCH to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.

Updating my original 1 star review. Had the camera since they sent us the new one. So, maybe 3 months? It always goes offline now. So, it may as well just be broken and not even power on. We're going to purchase a new one of a different brand and steer clear of Safety 1st. What a total piece of junk. I still can't believe they did away with the nicer camera for this! Also, the app is junk, too, on so many levels. There's not enough room for me to get into detail so I'll leave it at that.

I have the Safety 1st Smart Soother and this app is constantly buggy and crashing, often to the point of being completely unusable, which is infuriating when you're trying to access a specific setting at bedtime with a screaming toddler. The routines don't have all the settings available, and if the device has been voice controlled by a smart home service, the app often doesn't recognize that the device is even on. Basically garbage.

The app crashes anytime I try to turn off the Motion Detection feature, and it's stuck to "On." My baby rolls all over in his sleep, so I can't have this setting on, or my phone goes off all night. I wish I could use the app for the Cry and Temperature detection at night. This could easily be a 5-star review if the listed issue was resolved. I've tried uninstalling the app, but it hasn't resolved. I love being able to check in on my LO from another room if I'm doing chores or cooking.

The monitor portion usually works fine. However, basically everything else in this app is super buggy, and it will just go down for a couple days every now and then. The weight tracking has completely screwed up the dates so they are backwards somehow, the scale doesn't stay connected, so many things. It looks like 4 different products shoved into one thing that kind of works. Use it for the monitor integration, but find something else for tracking.
