this absolutely does not accurately show directions. do not use it for hiking, do not rely on it's readings. without leaving your house you can tell it's wrong as you can point your phone in two opposite directions and the reading remains the same. Glad we only tried it for a school weather project. someone actually relying on these readings for navigation could get very lost.

Excellent compass with clear instructions for setting up accuracy. Works very well and appears as accurate as is possible with phone sensors. The 3D ability makes it easy to read regardless of the orientation of the phone (horizontal or vertical). Love that it reports the accuracy so that you know when recalibration is required plus magnetic field strength so that you know if something external is affecting the compass.

Does exactly what it says in a functional and decent-looking app, with none of the data-harvesting or permissions demands of other "free and no ads" compass apps. If you want sun or moon data or precise coordinates, it asks for Location access only, as you'd expect, and "only while the app is open" works perfectly well. It does inform you on install that magnetic cases can cause issues (as you'd expect)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐v3.6.2 - I've collected quite a few compass apps, and this one provides the most smoothest, accurate, and consistent readings, without the results jumping all over the place. Highly recommend. There are other compass apps which may visually be more appealing, but the above outweighs everything and makes it a five-star app.

Very clear easy to read ,with nice contrasting colors. Pitch and Ya are also a welcome festive. Already recommended to friends. It's been only put to a preview test by me , I can't wait to set up coordinates and see how that works like if I am able to put in way points or points of interest on a trail or if it is more desirable to a pilot flying over obstacles! So far, so good !!!

Outstanding! Does what it says it does, simple and easy to use, accurate, compact and fully functional. The 3D feature is great for viewing in almost any angular orientation. Calibration is simple and precise and the color schemes available are really cool with no ads to obscure the display. The app can resize as an overlay keeping it in view so you can use it with online maps and additional tools. The sun and moon elevation angles using true heading is a brlliant addition. Highly recommended.

Amazing. Easy to read with red on black (one feature colour combo of many) so the luminescence does not interfere with night vision. Perfect for night photographers and astrophotography. Easy for orienteering with fixed landmarks and referencing after dark. Pitch and roll readings by ° and field strength measured in microT. Recommend it to a friend? Already have. Quite a few times

Most accurate and true compass app I have found yet. Sun and moon position feature is great. No ads!! It's what I have been looking for. Altimeter works without having to first find your altitude. Picture in picture, sun/moon rise/set. This one makes me want to go get lost in the hills!!! Great job!!!!!!!

You can get it to be "perfect" however you really need to do the calibration until you verify with know directions. The calibration technique offered was not adequate. It is better if you hold the phone face up and walk in the figure 8 and start tipping the phone like an airplane banking and swooping. Do this several times and check it until exact. It is good to have a known "True North" and calibrate in true. The program knows the magnetic offset for your GPS coordinate which you will enter.

I loved the idea of this, and the actual compass looks cool. Unfortunately it appears to have hijacked my GPS and Google maps now insists that my current location is almost 40 miles away from my true location. Uninstalled, removed battery and did a cold reboot and stiil having the exact same false location. I can't uninstall Google maps because Android platform. A friend of mine has the exact same problem. Do NOT INSTALL.

I downloaded this app onto my Samsung Galaxy phone today. And so far I do like it. the 1st. is it has no Ad's. 2nd I like that it has true north and magnetic north. And they are accurate within 2 to 3 degrees. 3rd I like the difference in the colors of the compass. 4th. I like the sun rise and set times as well as moon rise and set times. and 5th. longitude and latitude. And address of the city and state. It's been 6months and I have used it a lot and still works perfectly.

This by far is the best compass app that I have ever used on here, I've had horrible experiences with the top three suggestions those basically suck beyond all sucktivity... the calibration on this one is super fast super easy super accurate, the choices of screens, basically the look of the whole app is super simple and no pop-up advertisements, damn fine app 😁

A great app if you're walking, but this is very important: You CANNOT use this in a driving situation. If you try, you will have zero accuracy, even standing near a car. I ran very extensive tests. 5 stars would have been awarded if it worked while driving. The search continues for me. I think I will try to find an old school liquid filled compass of the old school variety. This is the ultimate compass app, but only if you are walking. None better for that.

Really nice layout, not complicated. I like the sun & moon info option, & the actual demonstration of proper calibration. The other apps only had text description & my brain prefers visual demonstration. This is much nicer than the 4 other apps I tried. like the color choices. Plus no awfully intrusive ads!! You are top notch!!!Thank you so much!

sometimes when I turn 90 degrees, there's a 180 degree shift in the compass. I'm not sure why this happens. if its because of heavy iron doors/ any other magnetic devices around me-like speakers.. apart from that, i found the app to be pretty accurate. I love the way it tells me abt the accuracy everytime when i open the app- this way I know if i need to calibrate the compass. the app is light weight and a breeze to use. would give it a 5 stars once the bug is fixed.

Amazing app! The graphics, accuracy and especially the picture-in-picture feature are professional and well thought out, great job!!! One observation, it would be nice if the picture-in-picture mode would rotate with the phone. Currently only the graphics rotates and not the text. Besides that, great job to the developers!!!

Originally I thought "No problems at all" but that is no longer true based on experience. I ride my bike with the phone mounted on the handlebars on a route with a perfectly straight stretch of 1.5 miles. Heading out the compass reads 100 degrees, plus or minus 2, East. Coming back on the other side of the 2 lane road it should read 280 degrees West but instead it reads 223 degrees Southwest. This is a MAJOR flaw and renders the app completely unreliable. Color me disappointed.
