Sometimes there's a surprise and the system is down in a way that you can't access your account. Other times they'll stick an additional ad for something from the credit union on the end when all you were going was logging out. The inability to use the app whenever we need it may not be the fault of the app, but we have these specifically to be able to access our money so when it fails, it makes me question my use of their services for my financial needs.

At first the app is a little cumbersome and difficult to navigate. It took a little practice to find out how to use it confidently and be certain my money was available when I needed to make a payment or move funds from one account to the other. There is a learning curve. I certainly prefer the help of another human being however when it works it's very convenient and efficient.

Limited functionality, very basic app. customer service says "new app is coming soon," but that's not enough in 2018 when almost all apps are higher-powered. Will be switching back to other credit union for our direct deposits due to the lack of features of this app. Cannot easily log in if you do not have fingerprint recognition, app freezes up, cannot lock card or easily chat with customer service, interface is lackluster.

Ever since they updated the app, it isn't exactly terrible, but it's definitely not great. Today my account showed no transactions in 6 months... lol Every time there is a transaction, it's so generic and gives little detail about where the transaction occurred. There's also numerous holds on my account when I make purchases. All i ask is redo the app again and fix these bugs

I like the app...it is very convenient for on the go banking...I would find it helpful if when scanning a check for deposit that it would show it pending to the account so I knew it accepted my scan.... now I have to keep checking to see when and if it's going to show or not also taking picture of the check is very frustrating. It can be a perfect but the app does not like it it kicks it back to take again.

Revising- Why would you remove the date separation in the transaction history? It makes it more difficult to find and keep track of purchases. Please fix this. This app is excellent! I can do everything I need from my phone. I transferred money from accounts while checking out and had no problem when I ran my card to pay. Super fast!

There are some things I have to go to the main site to do like see at a glance credit card balances. UPDATE: Still doing business the same way. The app is good for quick deposits, transfers and such. Serious banking requires the main site and from a phone, the fonts can hardly be read. I found the "quick access" accidentally and now I can see account balances without logging in. I'm not sure what the security concerns might be. It appears to be "look only" with no authority to move funds.

It's easy to see balances for my checking and savings accounts. However, the UI for credit cards is terrible. It looks like the app simply opens up the desktop site when I want to see my credit card transactions. Check deposit is also difficult as the images it saves are compressed to nothing. Very difficult to get a good enough picture for the app.

*Edit Since the first review, they did end up changing the 6 transfer policy as far as I know. App has improved since then, so well done. A year ago, I would have rated this 5 stars because it's been very reliable. However, a new policy was suddenly slapped down, which allows up to 6 tranfers per month. This is extremely inconvenient for a broke college kid like myself. I don't know what they were thinking, but they need to rethink it.

From 5 to 1 star. Their app and their website are very deceiving when talking about your balance. I balance my account and the way each line in the transactions section reads it never adds up to what I have. It is confusing as all get out. So I get over draft fees because I think that I have a certain amount of money and I don't then you see the transaction history and do your own math and it jsut doesn't add up. And that is because you have to subtract your transaction from 2 more lines up. 🤬

This app makes you wait for a phone call every single time you log in. Same thing if you log into the website. I have been using the same devices, log in fairly frequently and yet this still happens. I've banked with several institutions and never had a security problem so this 'safety feature?' seems 100% hassle and 0% necessary. Also there are things you MUST log into the website to do, so what's the point of an extra app taking space on your phone?

App working much better! Would love to see pending and scheduled bill pays (just those in the next month) visible in the register and a total with those taken out. Also, an option to add a record to register when writing a check so it is visible. Maybe a check box so user can check it off when it shows up as being cashed. Then dissapears...

As far as my existing accounts go. Both savings and checking. It seems to be able to accomplish anything I am needing this app to do. ( *****/ 5 Stars ) Although. When it comes to anything new. For example: Opening a new account, applying for a loan, line of credit , etc. ( < * / less than 1 star). This app needs work. Advertises being able to do anything that you are able to do at a branch location; In the app.. Frustrating.

Update: still no dark mode 2 years later. Needs a way to use the app and website with a dark background. Would really love to see a dark mode as well as no ads. When taking pictures to deposit checks it overlays information where the endorsement is "supposed to be" but the app automatically rotates the image for you. It's a decent app, but still needs a lot of polish to make it good. Oh, andore dark mode please.

Horrible! Half the time you cannot sign in. If you are lucky enough to be able to sign in, the deposit check feature via a photo is a joke. I have tried this numerous times, it always kicks you off. Calling customer service is horrible! They never are able to fix any issues with this app. Or online banking in general. Frustrating! If I could rate a zero, I would.

Very simple, easy to use app. Does everything I would want from a banking app efficiently and I was able to figure out how to use all the features within the first day of having it. Giving it 4 stars because the app crashes more frequently than I would like, and when that happens so does the online site. There is the automated phone banking service avaliable when this happens, but you need your full account number to access that, figured out quick I needed to write it down lol. Great App!

Previously my mobile check deposite made it so i did not have to go to the bank. This feature no longer works for me, and CA has no help desk. Furthest i got was "take a clear photo", clearly i hadnt thought of that one. I reinstalled the app to see if it was a glitch, but by the looks of it this is pretty common and not getting fixed. I hope they try to fix it soon.

Super nice app. Simple and easy to use for people who don't know what the heck they're doing! Some times when transferring money from one account to another, it does do so, however, the app will sometimes infinitely load and I will have to close out the app completely then log back in. Can be a little annoying when doing budgeting but it also may just be my phone.

I originally rated this app in 2014. And I am still very satisfied. I usually just use the app for transfers, and checking balances. It hasn't failed me. And is very easy to use. Regarding CACU, I love them! Although only 1 office in St. Louis, the team is always so personable, and friendly. We, as customers, don't get lost in the numbers.

It's a pretty decent banking app, transfers are pretty simple, however I'm giving 4 stars because I can't view the status of my debit card from the app, for example, to see if it's been temporarily deactivated due to fraudulent flags on purchases. Having the control to deactivate it as well in case it's lost or stolen instead of having to call the bank would be great as well. If these settings are there, and I'm just not seeing them, please let me know, and I'll change it to 5 stars.
