By far one of the best video games I've ever played. It's extremely addicting as it goes very in-depth on what you can do in college football. Especially with the most recent updates as one of the most fun games I've ever played. My only complaint would be I cannot see my overall record as a coach or bowl victories once I switch teams. Once you retire you are able to see your entire coaching history, but I wish this was available during my career.

Game engine is nowhere near as consistent or reliable as I thought it was. Also twice now I have come back to the game and opened a saved file to have it completely erase my recruitment class. I will have 2nd or 3rd best class and save it just to come back and have 0 points and dead last place then I get a bunch of walkons. Tried making 3 seperate files on another game and after about 10 seasons it happened to all 3 files. Disappointing as it practically ruins your school's year.

The games a pretty fun football manager to play if you want to kill some time I suppose. Most of my problems with the game are fairly small and most likely because I suck at recruiting players (psst, you should totally add an auto recruit feature), however, one thing I despise about the game is the ranking system and how it operates. Don't get me wrong, I love letter the smaller teams get a chance in the top 25, but when you're ranked #12 and win 34-21 to a #81 Ole Miss and get dropped to #31, it starts to piss you off. I've encountered that issue numerous times, and it's annoying to say the least, Knowing that even if I manage to barley pull a win over a somewhat bad team, I'm most certainly out of the national championship conversation

This needs to be the top sports simulation game on the app store. It has infinite replay value and it is very addicting. The latest updates have been a blast and I haven't been able to push my phone down. I've been playing this game since the first week it came out and it's been great the whole way. Give it a try because you won't regret it. It's like madden but for college and the team managing aspects.

Very fun game, loved being able to manage my college team. I wish the coaches ratings made sense and progressed in a logical way, and also that there could be an option to turn off players leaving early to the Pros. I'm updating this review, because I think there's a very irritating design flaw here that makes the game significantly less enjoyable. A schools prestige and a coaches ratings progress based off of how well the school performs in a season, relative to how well it's predicted to perform based off of how good it's team is. As far as I can tell, this makes prestige and coach progression based mostly on luck. If I take a bad team and make it better over the course of a few years, I'm not necessarily going to gain prestige, because I'm predicted to win more games based on the better team i have that season, and don't gain prestige based on how good my team actually does. It makes the game feel very luck based and senseless at times. If prestige changed instead to reflect your school's final rank, or the predictions for games won were based purely on prestige, then prestige for a school would actually work in a way that made sense, and rewarded good strategy and coaching that improved a team over time.

After updating its getting better and better. Love this game. It is fun and the best time burner game out there. If we can get to where we can save during season, before and after a game, i would rate it a Five Star. Thanks for your time and allowing us to have such a good game for free. Also thanks for your timely response to my first review. Between one of the updates after my review the app crashing at various times has stopped. Keep up the good work!

I like how it is structured, prestiege and upgrade points are stingy. Overall it is fun to play but in game features needs to be expanded on - special teams, halftime adjustments etc. There are several directions the programers of this game can go to improve the experience. Two stars because it's repetitive.

Suddenly buggy. I played this game alot last year and gave it 5 stars. I started playing again recently and noticed a few bugs. For example, crashing when I went to load a saved game and also not being able to recruit after exiting and saving a game. It just says I didn't draft anyone.

Okay so it's great except for a few minor issues that truly detract 1. Auto Recruiting feature needs to be put in place. 2. Coaching styles should be able to be set at the start like you should be able to select that you're a smash mouth style coach who runs a cover 3 defense right away for example. 3. Job offers should come from schools who like to run your play style. 4. Less randomizing with wins you shouldn't beat a #1 team then lose to a #100 team the next week. 5. Way too many injuries and suspensions it's just not realistic I'll work hard to recruit players and then they'll all get injured and suspended so we lose way more frequently.

Decent game... not very deep, but a good way to kill some time. Had to uninstall, however, because not being able to save progress in the game except for small windows of time within the progression of each season is a deal killer. Too frustrating to overcome.

Really nice sim. Would definitely like to see an editor. Also ranking and scheduling is a little wonky. Had 1 loss, won conference and beat #1 team ... no playoff. 1 season i played the same team 3 times, lost by 2, beat them in conference championship and then faced and beat them in the playoffs. I guess a deeper playoff would cure those issues long as you are consistantly top 10 ... may try that.

Excellent game if you love college football. The game does so much well and I find after a few updates my old strategies no longer as effective, indicating balancing is progressing nicely. Dark mode is perfect. My only asks are better pre and post game analytics, ui that uses something faster than drop downs (too many clicks), and an easy way to release/drop players and coordinators.

I love the game. And will keep on playing. Will just mention here what's going on since the update: 1. After every year my settings are being changed to the point that I have to edit them every year to (show players potential, allow for conference allocation and turn on career mode) and then it resets again the following year 2. After my coach retires, if i decide to reincarnate all the previous records are erased as if that coach and the players I coached never existed That's it :)

Love the game, only have one issue. It seems like every year my team is projected to finish, for example, 2-10 at rank 84. At the end of the season, I will have finished at 4-8, but be rank 101. This is considered a failure.... despite the fact that I did better than projected. Still this is a great time killer, keep it up.

I really enjoyed the game before the update, but there's an incredibly sour taste in my mouth about the game since I lost my save that I had spent a lot of time on. Still though, I tried the update and the balancing is all off. I'm stuck recruiting 3 star guys with the occasional bust of a 4 star, the new interface is clunky, I've selected a certain defense multiple times only for it to revert back to something else. I'm on the Reddit so I understand what's up, but this update has lost me.

I've actually uninstalled because it wasn't saving right anymore, but I have to give this at LEAST five stars because of the amount of time I spent playing it when it worked better. I might keep an eye on this and if it gets updated again I'll see if it works properly again. There's certainly plenty to critique, like the save errors, or the typos, and things of the like. But also consider: no ads, no purchases of any kind, and a really fun niche game? Hard for me to be to cross about it all...

Well... It's Difficult. So there is that. It's realistic, and mostly to the perfect ounce of everything. One problem though: Transfers. See, in Football Coach 2, they fixed one of these problems, and reworked the other. In that game, recruiting is a bit of a slog, but FAR more realistic. And you can keep a single player that wants to transfer every year, which is fantastic, but that isnt the problem. The problem is you can't keep any of the players who transfer, and you can't choose who you get.

I've been playing this iteration of the game since it's been in development, and even made some suggestions that the developer took into consideration. It's an epic time killer that I binge play on my commutes. Sure, the interface is a tad clunky, but that's because he's working within the framework of the original game (which is still fun in its own right). The fact is, once you get the hang of where everything is, you can mow through seasons within minutes, and yet still control a lot from the director level (thibk GM level for a pro league). You can also slow down and do lots of research before making decisions, too, so the game is great no matter how much time you have to kill.

I LOVE the game. LOVE IT. But, I gave it a 1 star until we can get the reincarnation glitch fixed. Whenever I pick my D coordinator after I reincarnated, the game crashes. As soon as that fixes, easy 5 stars!!! EDIT: It looks like the issue is also present sometimes when I hit "contract status", and then game just crashes. Appreciate the reply, and i still bumped to 5 stars. Great work!!

This game is an absolute joke. I lost 10 games in 1 season AS A DOUBLE DIGIT FAVORITE. I was changing my game plans and everything. Just to see, I simulated my opening game against Miami of Ohio 100 times. I was a 10-point favorite. I lost all 100 games, most by double digits. It has a really nice interface, and it's a nice idea, but the simulation piece is terrible. Will never play again. What a terrible excuse of a game.
