App is over 7 minutes behind live market. It didn't used to be more than 20-30 seconds behind. Completely useless to listen to if your trying to keep up as you do things around the house.

Used to work fine for months but now you can't listen to live audio without having the app open (can't have the screen off and can't go to any other apps) thus making your phone unusable. Defeats the whole purpose of the app. Contacted cnbc over a month ago and their idiot coders still can't figure out the problem (even though they have working versions to pull from)

I used to stream audio, but since the update it just stops after a minute or two. It drives me crazy. I used to listen to it all day, every day at work. Please fix this! Update - ok, I was contacted and was told the issue it fixed. I'll give it another shot. Thanks! Now, get rid of Jim Cramer! He is an idiot, he is ALWAYS wrong about EVERYTHING! so much so that there are etf's that trade on the INVERSE of his views.

Frustrating that you can't listen to anything on the app while visiting other apps or functions on your phone. And, crashes constantly!! While I subscribed to cnbc pro, it rarely worked. Even though I would stay logged in, I could hardly ever access the PRO articles/videos. Caught in a cycle... kept having to go out, go back in, and get lucky maybe 10% of the time. It's really expensive to be having those kind of problems! Not good value at all. Also extremely glitchy for tracking stocks !!!

Useful for quotes, historical, charts and some interesting news stories. However the scope of what is included in individual stock "news" link tab when pulling up that symbol is sadly lacking a lot of relevant news, in many cases show no news, when comparable apps have ample news items of relevance on the same stock. This is a major deficiency to an otherwise good site.

This app has become very frustrating. Crashes all the time. Shuts down when the screen times out, shuts down when I close the cover to the phone, shuts down when I go to another app. It was never like this in the past. I keep my operating system on my Samsung updated and have even uninstalled and reinstalled the CNBC app with no luck. I really hate this app now.

This and the one other msnbc news app are the only two news apps that won't run properly on my phone. Makes me watch commercials first, then freezes and won't play the news clip I received a notice to what h. I have a new Samsung 10 thru AT&T. It's not the phone, it is the apps. I gave it 3 weeks, went thru a few updates on phone and app. I'm done with MSNBC news apps. Too bad cause they are my first news choice on tv.

The scheduling of ads is terrible! I understand the need for ads and don't normally have any issue with them, but I've experienced programming mid-interview randomly cut off for ads, then running at least 10 ads in a row, to resume already in session programming for about 30 seconds (if that) to then cut to ads again. It's absolutely absurd!

CNBC is always on at my house and this app is full of great information and timely alerts. However, it has some of the slowest load times of any app I've ever run. Updated 3/8/22: App crashes almost every time you try to open an article. Update 4/4/22: CNBC app support worked with me to solve the issue and eventually released an update that appears to fix the problem. 👍

it works. streams well. ok navigation. needs a favorite feature. I love CNBC but I have now grown to absolutely hate Tunein with a passion. same tunein ad plays at all but one of the commercial breaks, really?? I tried the app once then deleted it. 3 months later tried it again...no change. Hate, hate, hate Tunein. annoyance is not a good advertising technic in fact it is a good way to promote frustration and road rage. If I get into an accident while listening can I sue Tunein.

Every single interactive chart in the app is now showing up as "No chart available". I've tried reinstalling, restarting, and signing in and out multiple times, as well as clearing my cache, to no avail. Update: I contacted your customer support a week ago, and after an initial email saying you'd look into it, it's been total radio silence. If I could rate you below 1 star at this point, I would

I like the watchlists but if you switch phone you lose it all. You should be able to turn the phone sideways and get a chart instead of having to push a button. News is ok. When you click on a news story, you then get only 5 choices of further news, it should always have the full story menu, do to get the full menu you have to back all the way out. In an attempt to monetize, they have 'pro' articles, which used to be free.

The new video player for streaming does not keep the screen from timing out, which then causes the video to stop playing. Do you all even do basic functional testing?!?! What a joke. Also let videos keep playing when the screen is off. This is financial news, the vast majority of the time I'm just listening anyway so why does it matter if the screen is even on.

Great source for news and quotes! My only suggestion for improvement is to have the stock watchlist on the home page or with a prominent link up front (you have to click twice, first menu then watchlist now). I don't like having to open up my brokerage account just to see what my stocks are doing... Other than that, it's great, and the best source of reliable news!

When it works, it works and when it doesn't it sure won't. App fails at times on identifying that the location setting is turned ON. Update: Months later this app still crashes every 10 to 15 minutes. Only crashes during air time presentation and rarely during commercial periods. Wrote email to CNBC support about this issue on Samsung Note 4 cell phone, only to be told that this app was not made to run on a tablet. A Samsung Note 4 is not a tablet. Removed one star.

The after hours quotes when red is over the blue is very hard to read. Otherwise very good app. But recently a few of my stock lists have gone haywire regarding A-Z. I reset A-Z but a few seconds later alphabetization goes out the window. Update. 4/2. After taking the time to redo my stock lists, a real pain, it has happened again. FIX IT! Update 4/6. "Contact customer care thru the app." I did that last time and got nowhere.

Okay, so after the last few updates that were not so good, the CNBC app works again and is actually a pretty nice app. Easy to navigate, push notifications that are actually worthwhile, etc. All in all, it feels like CNBC got this one right. The only complaint I have left is that the app will, from time to time, not launch the markets widget at the top of my home page. If I exit out of the app and go back in, it reappears. Certainly not fatal to my enjoyment of the app, but it is annoying

Think it is good if it is reliable. In the past versions, it lost my watchlists more than once. The news on watchlists for individual stocks is of little use. If those 2 issues were fixed, it would be killer. It seems to be stable now. no issues with lists disappearing. If the news feature on individual stocks in watchlists were better, it would be truly complete. That is the key, real time company specific news. Waiting for that. Still enjoying , but still waiting.

Update: a month ago, Customer Support told me the developers were aware of this issue and were working on fix. How long does it take to release a patch?? Horrendous! For the past several weeks, when listening to "Live Audio", the audio stops playing when the screen times. This is not the way the app has been working for the past couple of years. The Live Audio never required the screen to be on. This was broken in the Dec. update. Makes the app pretty much useless now.

Still having ads talk over the top of the TV shows. It seems like something called "REAL TIME INSIGHTS " is more important to here than your actual TV program. What changed. I never used to have this issue. Now it is happening all of the time. I have un-installed and re-installed the app. Shut my phone down and re-started. Nothing I do on my end seems to help. Impossible to listen to with both sources talking at the same time.
