This is a faithful port of the PC game and is fun to play when it works This app still struggles to work. For a good 6 months it was unplayable with a map that just flickered black and blue. Now the graphics work. But it still crashes and resets 4 or 5 times while starting up, and sometimes crashes the entire phone during play. Timeliness of addressing issues is poor compared to the price of the game.

Great game. But it lacks many quality of life features that I think are required. My gameplay keeps being interrupted by bugs, crashes, and things that just don't work right. If you're playing a cloud game and you crash, you have to wait 5 minutes to log in again. This limitation is completely invisible, and instead the game shows a "link account" button that's disabled.

Gameplay is good. Runs great on my note 10+. I keep having an issue though where it will disable my dlc. So I go to start a new game, and realize that once again it's playing on base game rules and I have to exit out, go into the dlc menu, re-enable my purchased dlc, then start another game under the right ruleset. It's very annoying. And happens every time I open the app. I have to always remember to "enable" the things I paid for.

Finally got this downloaded after several attempts. It's an absolutely massive download, but it is truly mind-blowing to have the fully-fledged Civ experience on mobile - with the caveat that it's priced accordingly. Definitely considering it though, especially after seeing how well it runs. Edit: Went for it and have no regrets. I think it's worth paying to ensure that high-quality, fully-featured experiences like this keep coming to Google Play. That said, the DLC pricing is a tough pill.

It's game is incredible for a port of a pc game. There are some minor issues with that but it runs and looks great. There is a glitch where it doesnt recognize you own the game and you have to log out and in when launching. Also forgets I've purchased the dlc quite frequently. Its missing alot of the newer content from the full game. I would love to see the rest of the characters and game modes added. It looks awesome just would like more content and it definitely needs updated & debugged. 6/10

It doesn't make sense that they didn't include the strategic view as an option. Not only would the game run better, but IMO it is more visually appealing. There are also weird choices made in the UI scaling (for instance, the government screen has horizontal scrolling when all 10 govs would fit and look better without that and wouldn't have an awkward stretched look on the background images). I'm glad they ported it, but probably won't buy the full version until they put strategic view back in.

So after playing this game with all available dlc (no frontier pass), I can say this game still needs work. It does randomly crash (and more often than the desktop version). There's different UI elements adapted for mobile and touch control, but it's lacking in some basic information the desktop version provides. The Great People screen doesn't provide history on the GP earned history (which is a problem if you've played Civ and know that AI will sometimes buy them or earn them back-to-back with other AI). There's no way to show the useful info banner for all civs. There's also no map search function. If you're used to playing the full version of Civ VI, you won't find that here. This is because Aspyr has decided to bestow the App Store with the New Frontier Pass, but not Android users. So not only do they have the capability to provide the New Frontier Pass content and charge for it, but they've decided to cut off Android users that have already purchased the other DLC in hopes that the full version will arrive at some point. This developer should be ashamed of themselves by leaving Android users in the dust and still charging full prices for the DLC in the game, but not allowing us to purchase the New Frontier Pass. EDIT: I also wanted to note that nowhere in the app does it state they're not updating the app with the New Frontier Pass. However, it does have a banner at the bottom advertising how the New Frontier Pass is available now. The fact that 2K/Firaxis will allow Aspyr to show this and not actually offer it should be considered false advertising. I'm asking for my money back as if I can't have the full DLC experience on my device, I'm not interested.

As of recent this game is being buggy and crashing and restarting constantly. Can't even play it now. (Uninstalling and reinstalling to see if it helps. Lowering quality in all settings didn't help to much if any amount. Everything seemed fine until the most recent updates.) Update: Uninstalled and reinstalled 2 times on and off of WiFi. Nothing during my troubleshooting has helped whatsoever so I hope this jackass developer is really happy with the money I wasted before for all the expansions.

I own the game on PC, and I own the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansion sets on both platforms. Almost all of the best content and playable civs are in the game, but the mere fact that the New Frontier Pass is not available on mobile makes much of the newest content unavailable for mobile and it makes mobile feel much more stale than the PC version, which is updated every month since the New Frontier Pass was released. Many of the cool game modes, leaders, wonders, aren't available.

True to the steam version but is buggy when it comes to save files it also continually and incorrectly tests if you've purchased this game. Erroneous validation of purchase is bothersome. And there is no realistic ability to switch between apps while app is launched. If you don't have a top of the line phone, the app bogs down pretty quickly and eats battery like I've never seen.

SALE NEEDED!!! The games performance, graphics, & ui were perfect for the 60 turns I played. And I would rate 5 stars if the price wasn't so high for people (me) that have already paid $100+ for the pc version and its dlc and expansion packs already! Plus they don't provide any information on what dlc's and expansion packs will be available and their price after purchasing the game. $20 for anyone who hasn't bought the pc or console versions isn't out of the question, unfortunately for me it is!

DRM... REQUIRES A CONNECTION. Imagine my delight when I load up my favorite game on a flight only to be told I can't play because I have no Internet connection. Luckily I also own the Switch and PC versions of this game. I decided to load it up this morning and play a game and had crazy graphical glitches. This is unplayable. The game has been out for years. Clearly this version is not a priority for the developers. The add on content is overpriced. If you like Civ 6, pass on this version.

Used to be a great game with a bit of heat issues and battery consumption, to be expected to some degree. I've dropped my rating to 1 star due to many things: from dropping promised DLC (ghosting the community for quite some time on the status of it) to not maintaining the app. The game crashes constantly in the main menu; logging me out constantly; not saving settings; app hanging/crashing; restarting a second instant while the current is open. All in 5 minutes, never started a match.

Id change my review if some basic mouse and keyboard functions were added especially considering the high price tag for a mobile game even though it very much resembled the full fledge pc game. Id like to play this with a mouse and keyboard hooked to a tv. I can get around most of the touch controls but zoom is impossible. Need that on scroll wheel. Using arrow keys on the keyboard would also be nice to move the map around but I can live with the touch and drag if I have to.

crashes other apps this is my favorite game. too bad I can't play because it constantly crashes my media apps. I can deal with taking forever to load, & long turn times, if I actually getbto play. if I can't even listen to a book without having to close it out, restart kindleI, then wait 5 more min for the game to load....nope. I'm out until it's fixed. the slap-in-the-face part is, I just bought 4 of the expansion packs. fix it and you get a 5 star rating and a rave review.

Very disappointed, my problem I'm having is that after purchasing the full game, it keeps popping up with the free turn screen or tutorial. I ALREADY PAID 20$ for a phone game, which was hard to do anyway, but now the game doesn't even have any of my info. Surprised that it has so many issues for it being so expensive, I would've only paid 5 dollars for it personally.

I have all the expansions and i still kinda like civ5 and 4 better. I have to restart the app so many times, but deal with it because I want to keep playing the next turn lol. It's got bugs but eF it I guess. It does take quite a while to load. Other than that, it is a high quality port as far as graphics and depth goes. Even tho older civs are better and freeciv, the graphics really allow you to get more lost into the game so kudos there as it makes the bugs slightly more forgiven.

3 stars because: it isn't the fully updated game. The game will crash randomly for no reason or restart. Or the game won't recognize that I've been playing it for months and ask me to re-agree to the terms and conditions but then won't recognize that I'm agreeing to it and I'll be stuck on the opening screen. Love this game, please try to fix the bugs. I cant play it if it keeps.crashing. 😒

About 70% of the time its an absolute pleasure to have and play. The other time itll crash randomly and continue to do so even after closing all background apps, clearing cache, and letting it cool down. Even after restarting my phone itll crash after about 15 minutes when other times i can play an entire game with 0 problems. Personally id say its still worth it, but could definitely have some work done. It also happens more after purchasing Gathering Storm/New Frontier and having them enabled.

Funny that my reviews keep getting removed. The game is very fun. It's Civ6 on mobile, which is great. But...it crashes, all the time. Once every few months, you'll likely need to get a support ticket, lose any progress and re-download your game and DLCs because of...well, you never find out why. So, great game, lots of bugs that will simply never be fixed
