Slow, useless, an app that has the worst security features and isnt very easy either. Password, or pin. Even if you verify yourself, it wont send money, or to other banks. You have to call the center for everything. Cant enable or disable your debit card from the app either. The app crashes a lot. Works sometimes, and doesnt work when you most needed. Even right now it says incorrect pin, and or it just sticks to loading for a while.

This app started out great.... but now, when submitting mobile deposits, the camera doesn't give you a chance to line up with the check, and immediately takes a snapshot, which often is blurry, too far away, uncentered, and just unusable. Please fix this issue. All other parts of the app are very useful and easy to use. Edit 12/26/19 Manual capture fixed the app deciding when to take the picture, but now the review photo of the check doesn't display in landscape mode....

3 stars due to login bug and lacking fetures. The app works, it just has some minor inconveniences. I'm able to check my account, transfer money, pay bills, etc. Login Bug - When opening the app, 2 login screens to open. If you attempt to login on the 2nd window, it wont work. You must press the back button first, then login. This is a inconvenience, but it doesn't break the app. Itd be nice if they fixed the login issue, added biometrics, and mobile pay.

my current cell phone is a Samsung Galaxy note 8 (flagship phone in its day) running android version 9 with up to date security patches. the new interface (looks clean) but there are times when my device locks up in the middle logging in (20% of the time). I reboot and try again with success. Seems to be in close to the end of a beta version. reading the reviews you guys are not doing great with your mobile app, 2.3 stars. you can do better.

Relatively easy to use and clear pages. However, the search feature leaves much to be desired. Only 100 transactions per search, not all transactions in a particular search parameter (like it will not show all transactions in the last 30 days, it will only show 100 transactions). And it doesn't offer a keyword search to narrow down the transactions, which would be very helpful. I give it 2 stars because those features are ones I used the most in my previous bank app.

Terrible app. It almost always forces me to use the app in a horizontal method. Meaning it won't flip properly to a vertical view. Then it won't let me vetify pictures until I take both for deposits. I wpuld prefer to take a picture, verify it is good, then take the next one. But nope. Not with this app. Simply put. Not user friendly.

It used to be better before the bad UI redesign. I like some of the new features, but it seems to work slower, and also the quickview for balance is gone/non-functional. You used to be able to tap and hold on the home screen, but it doesnt work anymore. Idk why you'd take this away. It was a very handy feature to be able to quickly see balance. Please bring this back. But I'll upgrade to 2 stars since they at least fixed the crash at login issue...

Getting more complicated with each forced update. Why can they leave it alone? I know it's a trend disease in the app world but constantly changing things around and making things more complicated does not help anybody. Now have to wait 30 seconds to log in with no clear indication as to when to hit the fingerprint reader. Taking pictures to deposit checks requires many taps where before everything was streamlined. There's no more option to get an email after a deposit is done, etc etc

Changing my password is near impossible. Why? Because there is something wrong with the program that causes it to incorrectly register typing. For example, I will press 'T' once shortly and find that three 'T's have appeared. And because it does not allow you to see the letters you are typing, the problem is made far more difficult. Never have I been this frustrated with an app in my life.

The new app is a real step back from the previous version. Login is slower. The login dialog is clunky. You can't do certain transfers in the app, for example to ODP. Worst of all there's no widget, which I loved having. I don't know why they changed the app but it feels like they didn't do a proper analysis of the functionality needed before bringing in the new dev team. I've given them this feedback through feedback channels but received no acknowledgment.

The new version removed the option for login via pins. It doesn't allow fingerprint usage without a lock screen, effectively requiring logging in twice, instead of once. It takes longer to login and switch pages. It no longer supports small business accounts, which is problematic when needing to deposit checks during covid. A truly aweful experience when a new version doesn't meet the minimum feature set of the previous version.

Incredibly, Citizens has managed to make this app even worse lately. Buggy with 90s era security. Just terrible. Far from full featured. For instance, no easy to see scheduled transfers. Some will show up on the"past transfers" screen, but not all. I originally wrote this several years ago. The look of the app had been somewhat improved but there is still no screen to see past and future transfers and payments, for instance. This app is far short of the functionality in the Bank of America app.

I really don't like this new app. I have to scroll to see all my accounts. The transfer process is horrible, it's as slow as molasses and hardly ever works. I have had to send the same transfer multiple times. The old app was fine, this one is way too buggy. Between no paper statements, fees to transfer between accounts, and now the app is a drag... I think I need to re-evaulate why I bank with them.

This app is horrible. It's always crashing. I have trouble opening the app 70% of the time. I have trouble logging in 80% of the time. It doesn't give any details to a purchase. It's worse than looking at a paper statement. It's sooo slow. And every month I'm FORCED to download the "new" version that is ALWAYS the exact same boring, basic, unimpressive app that's full of bugs and always makes me regret citizens bank

This app was great but once they did the latest update I cannot log in on my android. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and talked to customer service (in Mexico City) after a very lengthy hold time. I was told the issue was on their end with Android phones and would be fixed within a couple hours. Ot is now a week later and still not fixed. As of November 2023...STILL NOT WORKING ON ANDROIDS!!! Fixed finally!!! 1/6/2024!!!

Used to be great, but recently updated and now only works maybe every sixth time I open it. it either loads forever, requests a setting i cannot figure out how to change, or works the same way it used to but significantly slower. it would appear that all that has changed for me personally is the aesthetic of the app, so i'm not super jazzed. eta: now every third time i open it, login is unavailable.

The app is always down. I mean always. I've been trying to log on to see my account balances and transactions and pending for the last 2 days and I can't. It worked for me one time in the last week, because it was down earlier to. I tried 2 weeks ago to go on and it was also down. It's horrible and a simple app. Keybank and other banks I use never seem to have a issue. But citizens? Always. I need to pay my bills and see my money. This is getting ridiculous

When the app works it's perfectly acceptable, but the amount of issues with this banking app is just too much. I can't even access the app half the time, so paying bills, transferring money, and just checking my balance is an almost daily headache, for something that should be pretty straightforward, in 2022. **2024 edit: Still all the same issues.

Bill Pay Payee history in payment section is inconsistent and incorrect often. Citizens brought back 'Bill Pay' Payee's previou history while making a payment. It's good to know when & how much was my previous payment. However, theres a problem with the payment history when you're sending a payment. Sometimes it's missing payments that were clearly made that actually appear in the account history. Please fix this

Terrible since the last few updates. Sick and tired of the random 2 step verification with no way to disable. Hangs up more often than not when trying to view transactions. Used to be good. Not anymore. You people need to fix it. Update: Still worthless since you don't even have the decency to add a button for disabling that damn 2 step verification. And the fact that it's intermittent is just a slap in the face. Fix this junk.
