LOST ANOTHER STAR. Now the app asks for "cookie preferences" EVERY TIME THE APP IS OPENED. It refuses to save the setting! And I still get the same "offer" I've refused for MONTHS. PLEASE just let me do my banking without these annoying splash screens! STOP FORCING YOUR CUSTOMERS TO ACCEPT ALL COOKIES AND SEE ADS BEFORE ISING THE APP!!!

Pathetic app. Takes several taps to even get signed in. Other banking apps just pop fingerprint sign in as soon as you open their app. Notifications are useless. Singing in from a browser sends prompt to the app, and clicking in it makes it disappear. Other like insights are ready are not deep linked. Forces app to update to be used. What if I am not on Wifi? New update keeps asking for accepting cookies on every page if you have rejected nonessential cookies.

I am trying to login from outside canada and want to pay my credit card bill but the app is not letting me sign in. Absolutely disappointing. On top of that, I can't find the credit card statement anywhere which means I have not received any email from the bank about it. Now am stranded with no access to my app, no roaming on my phone and no information about my credit card bill

One of the worst app to get help. Virtual assistant is the most useless option with cibc. It gives a link to chat, but brings back to the same Virtual assistant. Extremely useless and worst. Stop wasting time. Will not be able to reach customer service. Hate CIBC

App keeps crashing. Just like service at bank, it all needs to be revamped. All I do is open app pay credit card and it's crashing. How many times do you have to delete and reinstall it. FIX YOUR APP!!!!

Incredibly frustrating. It did not install icon on my desktop to open...so always had to go as if reinstalling where it would say installed and open there. Deleted reinstalled same thing. Got new phone tried installing again no desktop icon. Tried online chat ended up more frustrated with a AI bot asked if I can speak to a real person and gave me a bunch of phone numbers to wrong departments!!!!! Wow test of a persons patience!!!

If you have a smaller screen and larger fonts, it's essentially useless for push-to-device because you can't see the code. I could never get the app to work on my Samsung A8 and only after hours on the phone with tech support and a chat with online agents did I manage to diagnose the problem on my own. The mobile app is a poor cousin to a standard software authenticator.

The app is great, but I would like to be able to put little notes beside my purchases or reminders just to organize my charges. It would be nice to keep track of things. For example, if I bought something at Costco that was unique, I could identify it. Otherwise, it's kinda the same as any banking app. Still good but not great.

the app has no working functions other than etransfer and paybill. everytime you click anything it says search query took too long. been trying to buy gold from cibc for over 12 years and havent been able to once. they are either out of stock permanently on their site. or nothing works when you click an option like i had mentioned. not to mention the hidden fees. worst bank in the world.

What a terrible experience using this app. Not only has it recently started crashing when I tried to log in, it was previously constantly stuck on the page waiting for a push notification or text sign in authorization. The quality assurance on the mobile app is horrible if all these issues made it into production.

your platform has been receptive to critical reviews. this app, for the most part, does its job effectively. I changed my review to address a critical flaw. the consistency of the Mastercard charge/payment updates can be abysmal. I've had all sorts of situations occur, such as: - incorrect balance based on provided feedback - payments/charges pending when they've already effected balance - fluctuating pending status - delayed feedback resulting in higher interest payments; please advise.

Decent app, but there is a multi-step process to make a TFSA contribution, which includes leaving the app and having to fill on ALL your information again on their website (says to log in to avoid this, but it doesnt recognize you've logged in after you just logged in); you can't just do a simple transfer like was possible at a credit union. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

Update, garbage. Complete Garbage. Has worked fine for years now no access to my accounts for 2 weeks. No feedback from CIBC. Have Uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed, setup all over again. Nothing. Suddenly the app constantly crashes after entering password. Has been this way for days. Called telephone banking line a week ago and they escalated. Hung up and it worked once coincidently... rebooted, reinstalled a few times. Same Garbage.

Does the job. Nothing special. I couldn't find a feedback option in the app so I'll leave it here. The biometrics option is practical but not safe (e.g. someone could use your fingerprint while you're asleep or hurt). I would like to use it (optionally) in combination with a short pin instead of having to enter my long password everytime.

This app kind of sucks. The dates never match up, always a bit late. Often charging me incorrectly, though at least it gets refunded right away. I never grt charged on the same date every month, always a guess. The international exchange rate is ridiculously high, other banks are lower. The app is slow sometimes. Everything else is fine. Oh, and the customer service is extremely slow.

This app has the basic features. Checking balance, fund transfer, credit check these are very basic features any banking app has these days. What's shocking is that, if someone steals your credit card details and does fraudulent transactions, all you can do is watch a notification that someone has ripped you off. There's no MFA (OTP) for online transactions, you can't set limits for online transactions. It's one of the simplest way to stop credit card frauds. No idea why they don't have it.

Update 24/06/14: going to credit score causes app to crash. New interface is horrible. The older interface was much better. Now it is confusing on how to perform actions on the account. Please return my old interface or provide us the option to switch from Modern, classic or COMPACT interface. Give the public their choices. Don't change outright to all. Add it as a feature to switch to to give users the power of keeping the old interface.

App does not pull up when you search CIBC on your search bar. Must either put on your home page or look through your complete app folder to open it. Very frustrating setting up Google Pay. Because you have to download app and find in app link to set up Google Pay. Trying to set up direct through Google Pay would not work. Also app will not allow me to register a Pixel 2 for notifications. Bummer. Took almost 2 hours to figure all this out. Also, app will not permit autofill of login.

Latest update is a failure. (I was forced to update to version 8.38.3.) The app crashes when attempting to complete the e-deposit feature. I've reinstalled the app twice, cleared the cache bla bla bla and it still fails every time. CIBC, fix the app and /or fire the developers /QA team. This is totally unacceptable. Time to move to TD...

I believe the newest version of the app requires some fine tunning. The old version of the app was truly amazing... and it feels like we went backwards to a less amazing app. The new layout (space it uses for simple things) is too large and it feels messy. The app is missing simple things such as the totals for multiple accounts grouped together. I really want the old app back.
