Like their other app this one is very useful as well for all my stories I purchased. I experience the same problems I have on the other app with this one. Stats still looked messed up although I don't have much problems with my stories loading on this one. Be warned the prices on Choices of Games is way higher than the ones on Hosted Games. Unless you want to pay almost 10 dollars for a story with only 200k+ words then that's your choice. Most of the stories on here you get your bucks worth.

It's a great app with great games! I was buying them individually for awhile but the app definitely makes it easier to navigate. I highly recommend all the Vampire the Masquerade titles, the Superlatives series, and the 7th Sea adventure. Creme de la Creme is the most recent story I've played through and it so good, sort of a Harry Potter without magic. All the stories have fun queer options and so much character customization it is truly impressive. Definitely worth the $5-$9 a story.

The stories are detailed, well written, and it actually feels like your choices matter! Highly recommend, these are really really fun interactive narrative games! I do sometimes get frustrated that I can't go back after I make a decision, but on the flip side it encourages me to really commit to my choices (or replay the story to try other options). So, in the end I don't mind it.

I'm changing my review back from a bad one to a good one. I've had trouble with some of my purchases but overall the product is really good. The stories are good and if some of them don't seem to be great because of the writing, the first chapters are always free so you can just move on. The writing quality can vary from exceptional to subpar. I've read some really good stories using this company. It's one of the only things I read sometimes. I suggest War for the West. Buy it.

High quality stories at great prices, and their support teams are amazing! Can't recommend them enough. Update: My love for Choice of Games only grows- it's been years and I'm still not bored- so many stories, with so many outcomes, possibilities, and options to explore! Long stories, short stories, entire series- they've got it all, and for a fair price.

The only downside here is that sometimes the tutorials are misleading, I've bought a few games that, by the tutorials, seemed fun. But after buying them, they ended up being boring or repetitive. But other than that, I adore most of the games I've gotten through Choice of Games!! I love the fact that so many authors on there allow diversity in gender, sexuality, presentation, ect!!!

Pretty good as-is, but it would be 100% better if it contained a complete, unified library of all the choice games currently available (particularly for people like me who have multiple choice games downloaded). Other than that, the only thing in my opinion that would make this app better other than a unified library would be the ability to build choice games directly from the app. It'd especially be cool for people like me who might not have a laptop. Hey, a person can dream.

Importing purchased works now on all except for one book. It would still be nice to not have to have to restore them one at a time. It would also be nice not to need two apps to play both CoG and Hosted Games titles. I get that they are a separate label and that the commission works differently, but the way they handle purchases and saves is identical. Lastly, there should be a toggle to filter out purchased items while browsing. It makes restoring things more simple.

Absolutely LOVE this series! Just as good good as the HR series! Excellent pacing, choices truly matter. Stats screen does an awesome job keeping track of where you are heading with the story. *necessary edit for clarifacation* Thought; I was reviewing an individual story series! (Vs. series) In regards to the overall app; I must continue to give it praise. However; this is an app you will spend money on. I think the low price for most books will cancel out trepidation.

I love having all the stories in one place, and have purchased and restored purchases quite a few times. The one thing that bothers me most is that after restoring so many games, I can't restore the first book of the heroes series, I've followed every step and done everything I can think of and it just won't work, I know I've purchased it, and yet it simply won't work. I'd much appreciate if something is done if possible so that this doesn't happen again to me or anyone else.

Interactive fiction has come a long way since I started consuming it back in the early 80s. This app is the easily one of the best culminations of IF around. Some stories are free and many go on rotations for a discount or free for a time (usually 2 weeks or more for 2 - 3 stories at a time). Usually the upper limit of a story is 7 USD , but those are usually well worth it in replayability and word counts into the 500k range or more. If you love choose your adventure, this is doing it right.

Great idea, but want to read offline. I like that it's one app. UI looks nice but clunky using. Thumbnails don't show up in searches for me, filtering titles needed. If books were downloaded in full when accessed/purchased, need to be online could be eliminated. As is I get "network error loading game data", not able to sign in at all, can't finish a book. CoG is amazing and one of my favorite app/game publishers, but I can't recommend this app in favor of the individual book apps. Fix for 5🌟

The best developer of choice stories for the most part. It's great to have the stories gathered in 1 app. EDIT/reply to Dev - I was unable to dowload the free previews you previously had on the Ply Store. You used to offer a free version that only had a small part of the story we could try before paying. I'm happy to pay for a story, but I liked getting the first bit for free to see if I wanted to buy the full story. I've been swamped & not sure if that has changed again. Thanks for responding!

I love CoG. There's so many interactive stories that offer countless hours of different endings and achievements and stats that it's hard to not put it down. I love to read and the interactive part makes it possible to read again and again just to see what endings you can achieve. There's a story for everyone! Genre, length of the story, etc. What adventure will you get lost in next?

Edit: The bug did indeed get fixed soon! Currently nearly unusable for me as it seems the ads bounce me back to the title screen each time they change. I was able to confirm this by opening a game i already own and playing it with no trouble. I'm happy to buy games, but not before I've played a chapter or two first. Hopefully this bug gets fixed soon!

This is the most high quality app of its kind that I have found. Worth every penny! I am a constant reader and these stories have so many options that its impossible to get bored even after the initial playthrough. Only complaint I have is there should be an option to undo a choice once its made and the ability to see a summery of your previous choices. Maybe in return for a small donation? I would be more than willing to pay for those options to be added to readers purchased stories.

This is a good delivery system for playing multiple choice of games games. The games themselves are excellent as a whole, and I really like being able to access them from within one app. I wish there was more support regarding integrating previously owned titles into your library, and that the app defaulted to go directly back to the title you were reading upon opening instead of the current overlay. I really like your entire platform though, and I'll be continuing to enjoy myself, so thanks.

Love the stories, but the app is horrible. I'm having to go through ten chapters of a book I was very into for the third time, first because the errors got so numerous that I had to try to reinstall the app, then it deleted my data, then once again because of a single wrong choice which effected the entirety of the story. No response from support, books aren't available offline, and I still have the million and one error messages, there may even be more than before.

One of my favourite childhood memories! A ton of excellent stories. The original ones that I played way back in the day, (pretty much all the free ones) are amazing, especially Creatures Such As We. The ui is a little dated, has some weird spots with modern phones, like a white bar at the bottom of the screen, but that's all okay. Some stories are also not worth the pricing, and pricing can be all over the place.

Along with the Hosted Games App, this is the best CYOA platform out there, with a wide variety of content so there's something for everyone. Also, the cost of each game is pretty reasonable, and you can read the first part for free to see if you actually want to pay. That said, there are good titles that are completely free too! The quality of the content has definitely improved over the years and choosing ur own path means replayability is amazing.
