The auto resign function is not working, losers just leave the game to save their records and the winner is left stranded just because the auto resign function is not working , please do something about it. Other then that the app is fabulous and the interface is great

This game has a stupid bug that stoles my time and gives it to my opponent.When my opponent's time reaches to 0 and I have time , It gives my time to my opponent!!!!! And Defeats me with 0 time instead of my loser opponent!!!!!!!!!Also Too many connection losing while connection is very good.

It's a fun app to play on but the developers need to do some rules to it, if someone who doesn't move in 2-3 minutes they need a 30 second clock to move or they lose, people who knowingly are going to lose make you sit there till time runs out or it's a "draw" or when you don't want to sit there and waste time even though you're winning will give them a W. It makes no sense

The frequent requests for update is unnerving. I updated a few days ago; now, i'm blocked and told to update again. That's not fair. I reiterate this post. Why these frequent updates? Too many seizures - both in time and in play. I'm starting 2024 with a shock. I found my app switched me back to beginner. I've tried every trick to get back. I have over 700,000. I'm a legend. Why? Now I can't retrieve my game. Please open it. Thanks.

What ever glitch you guys have that allow players to leave the game and not lose rating you need to fix it. Whenever you start to win or take a queen the opponent shuts the game down and it goes as a loss to me. Can you please fix that.

It started off okay I mean gameplay was mostly robots but then once I earn my coins and very 100k on a game I was at the last final minutes in the game winning And almost running the opponents time out my chess pieces froze. I could move anything and my time was running all the way down. I wrote the game app and got no response. My bad but that's a deal breaker if your app is closing me all my hard earned coin (points).

Well first it is a free game, I never write write reviews, but it has the most annoying adds, that will actually stream content while playing, and it continually miss places ponds..it will show the pond move two spaces..en passe...and the it will cause you to lose games..thus causing in accurate stats..I been looking for another chess app..this one is then worst

The chess game here is fairly o.k, however, it has so many Bugs and poor programming that it's truly a shame. For instance, (and I have screenshots to back up what I'm about to say:) if a person is about to lose, all he needs too do is nothing, his clock runs out, and the game freezes. Now if you leave the game, you lose even though you're opponent is Out of time. I possess many screenshot's to support this. If they fix the bugs, I will be happy to give them 5 Stars. Programmers, don't forget.

I played chess heroes for a long time. This app is so much better for playing quick games on the go. You get matched up very quickly. There are network issues when the in-game ads load. Oftentimes I'll be on a high-speed internet connection and the game will show a slow internet icon. The game will freeze then sync with me losing a minute of time. I have lost a lot of games due to ad Network interference in game

Solid program for playing online chess. I especially like the classic games. My biggest complaint is the inability to review your games, which should be a standard feature of any chess app. It's the reason I don't play rapid games on this app, in classic games I can at least write each move down manually, but there just isn't enough time to do that in a rapid game.

A fun game. Communication is great but gameplay is strained due to a 5-minute timer in quick matches. A chess blitz timer is typically 5 minutes, but for online matches it is too fast (a live match has built-in lag and more visual info, online is instantaneous and any lag makes the game shorter)...people play the timer, not the player. In 80 games, checkmate loss in about 10%, won 60% not by timer, and lost the others by timer. Monetizing the "undo" move button is a bit much imo. Great Dev!

I am extremely disappointed. I've tried to give this app the benefit of the doubt, but what ends up happening is that during a match, the opponent will deliberately not make a move and let the time run out. Since 5 minutes is a long time, most people resign the match (only way to end), so the opponent who never made a move wins. There used to be a feature that would resign any player who let the time run out deliberately, but Chess Star has removed that feature. So disappointing.

Twice in a row, ads popped up in the dead center of the screen during a game. It was impossible to continue playing and i had to close the app (thus losing the game and lowering my rank). I might check back in a few days and see if it's fixed, but if it's not then I'm done. There are lots of other chess apps. UPDATE: thanks for responding and fixing it! I updated my review.

I have enjoyed playing chess on this app for the past two months. I like having the option to select a classic no limit game or a 5 minute time match. Unfortunately, I often lose against the clock in a game that I am otherwise winning. I am happily surprised to see that a new 10 minute timed match has been introduced. What more can you as for?

After 3 years of playing and giving the game a 5 star rating, I am forced to switch to a different chass game. Every new version of Chess Stars became more unstable and annoying to play. Excessive rewards and promotions make the game laggy and more often than not it will crash. Worst part is It will disconnect in the middle of a match making you lose points. I can't list all the issues the game has on this 500 character review. Make the game simple again!!! Stop adding unnecesary things

This game would be perfect if a couple things were changed. 1st being the having to log into facebook just to make a profile. 2nd being the fact that I lose points when the game disconnects. I don't think its fair to pay a penalty if the servers crash! That's not the players fault at the end of the day. All in all, great app, despite the issues stated above.

Prepare for opponents that don't move. Although the actual app works great, it allows for players to sit for 30 mins and not make a move, in the Hope's that you get so bored and leave...which of course means you lose and they win. Why this app allows a player to not lose for not making a move after 10+ mins is beyond me. This happens about 10% of the time and it makes for a bad experience. Sadly, I am reading reviews from 2019 where the game makers ID'd the problem and promised to fix it.

I literally lost so many games from the game either just closing out or a random ad popping up literally damn near the end of a game. These last few times it happened I was about 2 or 3 moves from check mate each time. I give it one star because how the game will just close and not give the option to reconnect to a game. Literally thousands of coins and ratings down the drain. You can never get a real rating of that keeps happening. And no one wants to lose what they earn in the blink of an eye.

The clock system is terribly inaccurate. Doesn't matter how fast you play, at least a second of time will pass each move, and usually 2 seconds pass. 3 fold repetition will freeze the game. Ads pop up in the middle of games. Chock full of bots that play the same bs lines. They have hints you can use in "live" games?? The "stars" currency you get from winning games is pointless. I have 120 million coins stacked for no reason. I can't think of a reason to use this app over other options available.

I just updated the app and the auto-resign function seems to be working now. However, I just basically won a game by checkmate and the app seemed to acknowledge the win with the usual fireworks. Yet, it somehow was a "draw due to insufficient material". This is wrong since there were plenty of pieces on the board. This type of draw happens often and it doesn't make sense. Once it happened after the first move with all of the pieces still on the board. Can someone fix this glitch?
