This app, meets the needs,, good enough. Just one thing. When I am playing chess and listening to musics with headphone, the "click" sound of this app, comes out of the headphone, I thought maybe you could code something that changes this and seperates the sound, if possible

Good overall, but if players are playing fast and hitting the clock fast enough, the sound won't play sometimes. From what I've observed, it seems like it won't play the switching sound if the sound from the prior move has not finished playing.

With no updates in 6 years, this is almost certainly an abandoned project - but it's completely free, requires ZERO permissions, runs on Android 11, and works WELL. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Its really bothering me how it sometimes doesn't play the click sound when you end your turn. If not for this problem, the app would be getting a solid five stars instead of a four because of its awesome features. Customisable increments etc. Please fix the click sound! Thank you.

Great and very useful app. But I would suggest a couple of features to make it better, e.g: 1- Being able to add time increments in specific stages; 2- The option to set up different times for level unbalanced players; 3- Some variety of different themes would be cool.

Great app!! I like everything about it. I just wish, as some others have mentioned that you could set up handicapped time controls. You can set it manually, but being able to save a handicapped control would be super convenient.

I'm addicted to playing chess games. This digital clock is brilliant! Of course! The read out on screen between two clocks must be reversed with each other for great convenience of looking at it. I for one need to look at the clock every five seconds or so.

I don't like the tick-tock sound it makes when pressing the clock, changing turns. very annoying. Make it the same pitch or beep or something. In addition to that, you can't set the time independently for each player. Such as giving one side more time than the other. There are better apps out there.

You can create presets which can be set to any time and any type of timer. You can pause and reset the timer at any time. You tap the opponent's side to start and then tap the orange block once you've finished your go. Everything you need in a chess timer with no ads whatsoever.

Perfect. No add. Simple to set. I use it for Board Games like Santorini where I set a Game of 1:30minutes with reset BRONSTEIN of 1:30. This allow each player to have a move time of 1:30 minutes that is reset automatically. Would be better if the color of the timer could switch from Orange to RED for the player that finished the time. (the very best would be to get a Blink also when the time is close to a definable limit. Exam:when time is 00:07 start blinking until 00:00.

I think u must fix the stage time. "There is a single time control for all major FIDE events: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move one." The problem with your app is, after 40 moves, 1hr30min(90min) is not changing to 30minutes. Instead, it add 30minutes to previous time. I dont think it should worked that way. Please fix this.

Very simple and easy to use. Adjustable, too - I used this app for chess as well as timing games of WARMACHINE (a tabletop minis wargame). It's elegant and easy to tweak.

The app was perfect just before the last update was released. Now the sounds does not work properly anymore when you hit the timer to switch side. It work about one time out of two so it is impossible to play blitz properly as you have to check all the time of the timer switched side as expected. I will gladly restore the 5 stars on this app as soon as they revert it to its previous version or make it functional again...

Works just fine for what its meant for (now i just need my fold up board and my phone.... not my bulky old...1970s.....chess clock, to travel to a friends house tonplay... yeah we can play online....we all know it's not the same!) Yes...functionally perfect, all the options I think ill ever need (Until this dev or another adds a function i think "how did i live without this?" Which is what i thought when a got THIS very app!). 5 stars well deserved.

The clock works but there is no audible warning as time runs out. Sound is on, and the app makes a sound when the clock is pressed and when time has run out. There needs to be a warning - maybe 30 secends the 10, 9, 8... Also there does not seem to be an easy way to exit the app, the back button just brings up the dialogue for resetting the clock. Very annoying.

This Chess timer is really solid I prefer it's layout to most others on the app store. But it does lack one feature which I think is pretty key which is asymmetrical timers. I often play against less experienced players and like using asymmetrical timers to make play more balanced. Because of this I have to turn to other timers like the Magnus Chess Timer despite preferring this one. Other than that I think it's a great app and hope they'll add the few features it's missing to make it perfect

I like the fact that you can set any time format and time increment (you can chose between Delay, Bronstein and Fisher). You can also add 3 stages, where you will get a certain amount of extra time after a set amount of moves. Only thing I can't see possible is making for ex: first 40 moves to have no time incr, and then to get a X seconds increment for the next 20 moves and then a Y amount of seconds for the rest of the game. You can only have one type of increment all game.

The timer is working okay, but the font size on the time display is too big, so for any value above 10 minutes it wraps around to the next line, which looks awful. Perhaps it has something to do with my phone or its configuration (I have POCO X3, not exactly an ancient phone), but in any case, there is no need to make the font this big. It's always prudent to leave some extra space around the display and not stuff it chock-full of information.

I was hoping there would be an app for it and this is by far the best one as you can sit your phone parallel with the chess board and I had the best Thanksgiving playing with my niece. So satisfying about the entire ritual of seeing your clock start making your move then starting the timer on your opponent. the colors are great there are countless timing options and completely customizable ones for rapid chest or for teaching and the audible click and smooth response are most satisfying. 5+

Couldn't find how to make a custom time with delay, only increment. Local tournaments to me only use delay. I also would like to be able to have both times facing symmetrically, instead of toward each player so i can more easily see my opponents number without needing to break concentration to read it upside down. Overall: extremely simple and effective.
