This is a SUPER FUN chess app! I've only done a few of the challenges, but it makes the learning fun with the challenges. I didn't know how this app would be for chedd based on the "cartoonish" graphics before downloading, but it is a LOT of fun! I'm learning while playing also, double-win! :D

It's a good game but they say new levels every week... Not true.. last update was Nov.. I got a challenge to reach lvl 200. I can't because there isn't any content on level 198.. Been waiting 4 weeks now and still no new levels.. I like this game alot because it teaches also but I think that if it's advertised New lvls weekly then that should be honored.. Or... Stop advertising it and people won't expect it or be irritated by being falsely marketed...

⬛UPDATE ON NEWEST VERSION: Unplayable and seems like there is a graphic filtering problem; similar to what user's complain about with Miniclip's 8-ball pool. I am playing the game via Google Cast with my family and cannot get past Level 2's Tactic puzzle. The quickest fix I can find is to uninstall the game! ⬛REPLY TO THE DEVELOPER: ⚫That is a very unprofessional response to someone who may in fact dislike your app but have you thought about this? ➡A. No matter my viewpoint, I bought out the time to give detail-oriented suggestions to improve it. Have you thought about it that way? Who would do that despite rating any app so poorly? ➡B. Understandably, most users would just uninstall it and move on with their life! Yet, I did not do that but chose to still give back; even offered to be your beta-tester. ➡C. Just so you know, I also installed your app on my cell phone solely used for my educational, behavioral, and hospitality service volunteer agency I founded in 2002. Why did I do that? Just in case you allow me to be a beta-tester, I will be ready and continue to be a man of my word in helping you out as a developer and our dear Android, Google Play Store community. Wow! What true character, one may say! We do not have many people like this these days. ➡D. Remember, you are the one who needs players to play your app; not the other way around. ⭐➡E.We have literally thousands of chess games to play with different combinations there-in! With that being stated, please remember to be cordial to your users. Remember, the customer/user is always right (don't you forget this)!😉 ➡F. Lastly, I may decide to up the rating depending on how you take my suggestions and those from the others'. ⚫By the way, you should take away the option of risking your score (at least having it as an option perhaps; I restarted my levels, because I felt as if I were cheating). Haha! ⚫Needs a chess tour. The ranking system is already there. There can be the junior circuit (100 computer players that are beginners but at the competitive level), pro-am (150 computer players, including the top 20 players from the juniors), professional (250 players), and masters (300 players with their own individual AI strength and tactics: Casual, defensive, aggressive, offensive, crafty, tactical/technical/nerdy, come-from-behind, match-toughness, winning the match but cannot defend it when up in a game or in a round robin type of players, etc.). The rounds can be 8 players for the smallest events (75 points), 32 players for a large event (250 points), 64 players for a larger event with more points and the title on the line (500 points), 128 players (2000 points) for the grand events where the players play at the "Grand Slam" of chess madness, and there can be a year-end championship where the top 8 players can duke it out for the championship (1500 points, round-robin format until the semi-finals knockout rounds). There can be several cups to see which area plays the best (can be for just the cup or points also; might be best to mix-up some of these events with those options). So, these suggestions will already keep the game as it is but will also feature a comprehensive ranked chess career tour that a human player can play to test what they have learned in training and see if that same training would equate to winning points and titles.😆👍

i like how this game make chess fun and interesting. The short games and situational play is really nice because they are like drills that i can play quickly and if i don't get it right then i can take another shot at the same kind of situation without having to go thru a whole game from start.

i hate it so much when you're just about to be the winner suddenly the cpu opponent declares STALEMATE !!!! and also it takes weeks before you can win a level , and that is if you spend a lot of too much time playing it. i love the CRAZY levels , though , they are so fun .

Interesting twist on chess but does not train or improve game as per some claims. Sets scenarios and asks you to perform "best move". This is subjective. I suppose if you want to play like an algorithm then it is good. otherwise it tells you that your move is good or bad without explanation of why. not good for beginners or if you want to improve because no explanation of strategy is given so you are left to figure it out by yourself. Better to play a proper game of chess or watch YouTube videos.

When i started i had 50 gems, and then i won 80 more, but when i logged in my gems were reset to zero, along with all my items reset to 0. I was enjoying it until it reset my gems and items to zero. I have to uninstall and it wont let me start over. Very disappointing.

Was v.good in the beginning. Made a move and the computer has not responded at all. It seems to be stuck in "thought mode"! Used a take back move helper to try the same move again yet same result! Count down timer for lives is way off! Takes hours for a single life to regenerate while it is supposed to one every 30 mins!! Latest glitch 27/12/24: stars not adding to total star count at all!! Update 29/01/25-Tried to email support on 31/12/24 and got no response at all!!!

I think it's really cool that the app teaches you stuff HOWEVER the accuracy to moves is not correct. In the check mate stage it tells you you have check maye when you don't and another piece can just take the piece attacking. Glitchy. Not up to date with chess rules about being in check and knowing when it's actually check mate and not.

The devs say in another review that "sooner or later everyone will pass all the levels, even very weak player". No way. Unless you cheat you will reach your skill ceiling very quickly, completely unable to go past that. At ~1300 rating that's lvl 65. Also the latest updates give chests based on stars/lvls. Existing players didn't get anything for their previous progress. Includes pure gambling (slots)with paid gems and skewed spin the wheel. I enjoyed it while it lasted, which wasn't very long..

Good chess app, great teaching tool. I'm not a fan of how the solutions to some puzzles can't be shared without gems and there isn't any way to earn gems other than micro-transactions, but I understand they gotta make a buck. Wish I could just buy the app and dispense with all the nickle and dimeing though.

I have downloaded dozens of chess training apps and this app is by far the best app I have ever used. I love how you start with very weak puzzles and as you progress it will get harder and harder. I only have one negative thing to say about this game. The fake leaderboard. If I could give any feedback it would be to have your regular fake leaderboard as the default app leaderboard, but also have a global leaderboard so we can compete against other players in each level.

Good app. I like that sometimes AI makes blunders; some GMs might whine not having Deep Blue here, but to me it feels like human. One note: I WISH there's a way to sell tokens (and exchange them for anothers, or gems?) ... or maybe just delete them at least. I NEVER EVER like Mistake Preventer, particularly, it's too annoying. I never need it anyway. I can turn it off before the game, I know, but it just too annoying when I forgot. I never use Bother token too.

Needs career mode with some 120+ different players with personalities. There could also be 64 tiered tournaments with a grand slam and year end championship mode (those being the hardest events to play). Each tournament has seedings [your best playing event(s) for each draw] and rankings (your best 25 results in the career). A chess winter and summer olympics every 4 years would be nice (remember that the Summer Olympics come first and the Winter comes two years later or vice versa). Thank you.

Edit: after the recent update it just doesn't allow me to move any pieces. Reducing from 4 stars to 2. Will uninstall if not solved in 48hrs. Old Review 4 stars Some of the problems expect a specific solution, and they just reject all other alternatives no matter how reasonable. What's worse is that no explanation is given for the rejection. That doesn't teach much. Except that, everything else is good about this app.

It doesn't have any individual tips or special sort of training or anything, but I use this along with other chess apps. The skill I have in the last year taking this up as a hobby is night and day. only negative is sometimes the computer levels will be really tough later on, and that's fine. However after losing a couple times it clearly scales down the level where the cpu has ridiculous blunders. Like blunders a player with 1000elo would make.

i hate the limited times it lets you play. you lose 5 times, then you have to wait hours to play again. Can I play when I want to play, not when the game wants me to play. that feature sucks. that feature made me hate this game. i only get a 30 min lunch at work, and as im learning tactics or checkmate patterns, and as soon as i lose 5 times, i cant play again for a long time. boooo. awful "5 lives" feature.

I like the game but it has many flaws I find would make the game fair. For instance, many times the game stalemates when clearly the game would've been won and top of that you loose a heart for it. Many of the opening suggestion algorithms make quite silly moves where even when made the game tells YOU you made a mistake when the suggestions would've been otherwise best moves (quite unfair I would say.) I enjoy the learning and game play but clearly there's a lot of emphasis on in game purchases which make it playing not so palatable. I've played/invested enough to validate that which I said in this review.

Update: the constant interruption of telling me I've made a mistake is jarring enough that I can't play this game, anymore. Especially considering that I ignored the offer to take back a move and was able to capture the Queen. Great concept! There needs to be a level-related reward for getting to each level, like a new board or a new set of pieces. At the very least some aesthetic theme related to the levels as they are on the map. Keep up the good work!

I'm giving it 3 stars because although it's a pretty good app for chess, runs smoothly and you can play offline as well, and by the looks of it, it has hundreds if not thousands of puzzles and games to play while playing through the puzzle section. Where it falls short 2 stars is alot of the puzzles are mostly just full on chess games either starting from the beginning, middle game or end game. Basically they aren't really puzzles at all, just normal chess matches.
