I'm so impressed with this app, I've never seen an incredible and amazing app like this before. I really love it, my English level is intermediate and the courses and streaming are totally useful to me. Moreover I really love the idea of being learning English with teachers, not only from the US, but also from the UK because it helps me getting in touch with both accents.. Sorry I only give five stars, you deserve so much more.

I'm really enjoying Chatterbug as a useful compliment to more gamified language apps. The streams with live human tutors really help clear up common mistakes, grammatical elements, and real world pronunciation from diverse French-speakers. These are all concepts that are much harder to grasp on an app like Duolingo, where there are no real people. I feel like using Chatterbug early is good for avoiding forming bad habits early on that you would otherwise struggle to correct down the road.

I was excited to try this but since you have to enter all your credit card details before you even see the home screen is a bit sketchy. Even if there is 7 days free trial, I'm not entering all my card details that soon for obvious reasons. Edit: I don't want to try it if it's wants my card details immediately. It doesn't seem trustworthy and someone said that it's difficult to unsubscribe so I'm not risking it

I think it's only fair I come back and up my previous review upon initially downloading the app to now I have had some use of it. Let's out it this way - the app is INCREDIBLE!!!!! After learning Spanish via comprehensible input, I wanted something in that style for other languages as well as improving my Spanish. The best thing about it all - it is free!!!! Brilliant job to the creators. Thank you so much!!!!

Chatterbug the website is great 👍 Chatterbug the app is also great 😊 Why oh why do they seem to be completely seperate things though 🤔 I would desperately like to review my website coursework / recorded live lessons while I'm on the go but it doesn't seem possible at the moment. Really hope this integration is a priority for the Dev team. Doing so would probably make the app a 6/5 stars.

I just started watching grammar lab intro. It's too fast. You can't even answer when the question pop ups. Some videos in elementary part last longer than needed. On the other hand, with the grammar the videos are faster and shorter. Should have been the opposite.

Love love and once more live using this app! It's really fantastic, as you can actually hear what is being spoken. The live lessons are also interactive when their air which is amazing, because real people can correct you if you get something wrong. One star down only because the "shorts" at least on the Spanish course appear not to work. Every time I click on the icon, it just crashes the app. If that is resolved I will easily give the app 5* as this is an amazing learning resource.

1. "Live"-subtitles are not matching almost any spoken word. 2. The material given will hold you at A1 or maximum A1-A2 level. 3. The fonts used in some videos are almost unreadable, especially for joined words. 4. Constant emoji spamming over the screen reduces readability and distracts from a lesson. 5. Youtube gave me much and much more options, viewing comfort, and knowledge than what's offered in this app.

I absolutely love this app. It is exactly what I want in a language learning app. Nothing is locked to where you can't get a taste of what's to come like Duolingo. You can join clubs, view video lessons, take quizzes, practice vocab, and it all feels like a real classroom lesson every video you progress. I would recommend having a class or course book alongside this as it is mostly immersive. The website grammar section is also superb. 🙏🙌 I ♥️ Chatterbug

I am very pleasantly surprised at how good this app is. I am a beginner with a fair vocabulary but need to interact in German. This is like having a tutor. The streams I find entertaining but full of easy to understand learning. They are just the right length. The tutors are friendly and patient and you can watch the same stream over and over until it clicks. I haven't noticed any adverts yet! I hope I am not speaking too soon. Top marks

This is fun, relevant, engaging content. I am an intermediate French language learner and this is completely perfect for my goal: to enjoy learning French. I dont think you need to worry about joining the live streams - you can watch and do the little quizzes on the recordings too. The only thing I would change is triple check the subtitles- I saw a couple of mistakes in the French. Bravo, merci pour cette app! Je reviendrai pour essayer votre programme payant.

The concept of this app is great for language learning. However, I am not persuaded enough to proceed with the trial. The other free source offers English-German subtitles, whereas this app does not. However, this app distinguishes itself by incorporating interactive lessons and quizzes while streaming. I'm looking forward to seeing how this app evolves. I will definitely return in the future. One minor point: the streamers' volume is quite low.

I think you guys can allow users to choose what level they are at as well (in case they already know), so, not just "I know a bit" or "know a lot". That way, the homescreen will be filled with their level only. Also, whenever I come back to a previously watched video it will play again from the beginning, this bug should be fixed soon. Other than that, I love your app and am willing to pay for the subscription! :)

This app feels very professional and I think it'll help me learn more Spanish. The way of learning with videos/livestreams honestly sounds like an awesome idea and I hope more people join. The annual/monthly price is low compared to other apps. I wish there was a way to speed up videos though (1.25/1.5/etc). But yeah. Great app. Can see it going places.

This app is a super idea. It's a great way to mix things up from using more traditional apps. I've seen a few complaints about structure of streams etc., but I suspect these people perhaps expect to be able to use a single app to learn a language; it's unfair to have such expectations. It's great to hear actual conversations in the language of your choice (in my case French) and a valuable learning too. The streamers are all very nice and enthusiastic. It's also a good price at £2.50 a month!

Hallo, Chatterbug, I have used many different apps for learning languages. Yours is definitely one of the best. I only have one small comment: I understand that emojis are fun for live streams. However, for users like me who prefers watching videos, instead of participating in live streams, it really would be less distracting if the emojis can be deactivated or removed.

I had never heard of this app before, and I'm so glad I clicked on it! it has cute and short videos in your target language with shortform videos with helpful grammar tips. it's exactly what I was looking for to supplement my language learning. it also has a tiktok feature but with tips and tricks about the language you're learning. super cute all around. my only issue is that it lags sometimes.

Predatory app that won't allow you to do anything until you give them your debit card number for a "free 7 days, cancel anytime" (with the hopes you'll forget and we can bill you at least once before you cancel). Not to mention it's a language app that only covers German, French, English and something else...Spanish I think. Idk who needs to hear this but the West isn't that cool..

My last review I was being dumb, had a hard time figuring out subscriptions and panicked about money I'm sorry. Anywho, I like the videos and the quizzes at the end are fun. Though it would be nice if you could add subtitles or have them repeat what they say in english so I can understand and learn. They say things slowly but that doesn't help me understand and therefore is useless. Even the "easy" videos requires me to already know a ton of the language being spoken. It's very frustrating.

although I lack the physiological verbal capacity to speak the language properly enough to be effective at it. or much accurate at all. it's heartwarming to be getting reintigrated into the speaking at all. also. it's very comforting to hear the german while being taught a little of it. I'm catching on. well enough. partially. still. it's important to me that the app is. it's definitely an option for learning german. and. a darn good one. in my opinion.
