More About CHAIN

CHAIN is the World’s first rider centric comms platform. Built by riders for riders, CHAIN is the first system to offer the ability to connect users of Sena / Cardo / Interphone / Shockwave / any Bluetooth device on any helmet with infinite group sizes, over infinite distances, whether you’re in Tokyo or London, Miami or Sydney, Rio or Toronto.
Create a ‘CHAIN’ and send your Chain’s unique code to your friends / family / followers to link up to in just 3 simple steps.
Riders can join your Chain at any point without you needing to pull over or press any additional buttons whilst riding. They can also disconnect from your Chain without interrupting those who are still riding.
When signal is lost, and then regained, you will automatically rejoin the Chain you dropped from.
CHAIN is live and in BETA - get riding and give us your feedback so we can make the best system for you!

Fails every time - never could connect with my partner through bluetooth and the app kept crashing for both of us. Would be great if it actually worked :/ Way too expensive for a unit that does not function.

The app is a great idea to connect with other riders with different com systems. The only thing about this setup is it depend upon your buddy cell phone service too, bad cell service mean bad connection. When connected to the app group with others I find the voice from riders are low even when the volume is set to hi, better to get a standalone com systems like cardo or sena. Ruroc com unit is ment to be with Ruroc com only. I ended up doing a conference call with the group I ride with instead.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. My guy and I ran Chain with our Cardos and were able to talk to each other as we rode, even being 15 miles away from each other. We had our own music playing, but neither heard the other's music, and there was no wind or exhaust noise. I heard his exhaust once, only because he accelerated hard, and it was quiet. My only complaint, as the app stands now, is that the background music sounded tinny. Is future recording a possibility?

Not fit for purpose, this literally ruins the whole ruroc purpose, helmet looks good but the audio system is trash this app is awful, this ruins the whole ruroc experience, so bad in fact I ripped it out and replace with a cardo packtalk edge, this app needs addressing and quick, doesn't ever connect, but says your connected, hasn't had a update since May of 2022 they clearly don't care about this app of the consumers that want to use it,

Needs updates for sure. Conversations basically mute your music. Also some really serious lag. Fix the lag, and leave music at regular volume and dial it down a bit for voice receitvtor transmitting. GREAT IDEA for any comms system and any phone to work and with anyone anywhere. But execution is pretty poor.

Does not work. This app is entirely useless. Please if you are considering buying a Ruroc helmet on the basis of their intercom system and this app then just don't do it. The app crashes every time you try to use it. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, on multiple different phones and always had the same result. Entirely unfit for purpose.

Great idea. Just doesn't work! I have a ruroc helmet and this was one of the reasons I bought the helmet in the first place. Helmet takes phone calls and plays music well but when it comes to using comms through this app it's all but useless. Voices come through too quiet so you can't here what anyone is saying unless you are stopped and parked with the engine off. Easier to just phone the person in question. Very annoying as this could have been a fantastic app.

Voice is on all the time and it's annoying. What i mean you hear everyones engine, wind , noises, smirking, chewing etc. The app should activate it self only when you talk and mute when you are not talking. App should also be able to pause music when someone is talking or if you are talking. I mean this is all ordinary functions that Cardo have. If this gets fixed then I'll gladly change rating. I love my helmet but I'm pretty cut off from others with my shockwave.

When it works it's pretty good. Unfortunately, this app drops users and does not self heal (meaning, users don't automatically reconnect). I suspect this happens when network strength is low, however, once the network has regained strength, users should be re-added to the group automatically. This is terribly annoying as one cannot stop, reconnect to the group and continue riding every 5 minutes. For the record, my network connection was strong. Also, setting up the group is convoluted to start

Tried a small ride around Essex in UK, the signal dropped out so often that we might as well have rode in silence, when it did connect the audio was garbled. Very occasionally we could actually hear each other. Great idea in theory but in practice it's awful. Also it would be worth noting that my phone was in my pocket and not attached to the handlebars so I do not have control over answering calls etc. A Bluetooth controller that can answer calls etc would be a game changer with Ruroc helmets.

Dire I really wanted to embrace this app. On first use whilst at home and my buddy riding it appeared to be very good. However, on a recent trip abroad I'm sorry to say it failed miserably. The connection was never stable, when it did connect the audio quality was dire. And throughout we were no further apart than when using our regular Bluetooth Comms. I really tried but it's a No from me 👎👎

The worst app I have ever used. Absolute garbage. Doesn't connect to other riders headsets, constantly disconnects yet tells you you're connected. Considering the amount I paid for my shockwave kit, this is shocking. Had cheaper headsets with better apps... Interphone, for example. You need to have you phone in front if you to use it. I think Ruroc actually need a slap for thinking it was a great idea to put the controls to the headset on the back of the helmet and not offer a control option

This app was a waste of time today. 6 in our group connected to it OK but when riding there was a lot of interference then a long delay to hear each chat. We went through the Mersey tunnel and we all dropped out when through to the other side. So frustrating having to stop to reconnect. Later on we changed back to the helmet intercoms. Maybe it'll get better with more updates?? The idea is great but needs to improve

Very disappointed. High price, low support, poorly designed tech apps. We bought atlas 3.0 helmets with the shockwave 2.0. The chain app crashes the second we try to initiate a ride. No useful information on fixing this, and basically useless on Androids. At $1000 for the systems including import fees I expected a lot better than decent quality in helmet headphones. The lack of support, bug fixes and actual customer service has convinced me that my partner and I will never buy ruroc again.

App crashes after connecting to group on new Pixel 7 Pro. Makes the app and comms pointless. SAVE YOUR MONEY, BUY A CARDIO. Bluetooth functionality does work as expected. But the idea that this VOIP app is somehow better than traditional wireless rider to rider communication would require you have internet at all times and that the app actually worked properly.

The app only works if you are dangerously close to riding partners. After about half an hour of trying to get it to work in an capacity we just switched to a regular phone call which was clearer, easier to connect, less lag, and obviously a further range. If you want a good intercom just get sennas or a cardo system. Super dissatisfied especially considering the quality of the helmets ruroc provides.

It's okay. It lacks any audio control which makes it kind of a pain when connecting with others that may have poor noise cancellation, high mic, etc. The voip protocol they use has serious lag as well. Honestly, my cardo and sena intercom experiences, while limited to only those brands, were much better overall. My recommendations: - add audio level controls - reduce lag - add widget support to allow quick mute - support split audio

Its good, but not great. Comms are clear, but there's approximately a 1 second delay between what you say and someone receiving. The WORST part is that you can't have comms and listen to music. This is a MUST FIX to the Ruroc team. *UPDATE* This app is garbage!! Doesn't stay connected, can't have tunes and comms, can't reach my buddy 15 feet back... SUUUUPER disappointing

The app is great for simplicity and being able to talk with anyone with a comsystem in there helmets. But, I have noticed there is a delay while trying to talk to your riding buddies. About 1.5 seconds before what you say is actually transmited to the other riders. And the app muffles any music your playing of your phone. Looking forward to future improvements!

Cannot listen to music and communicate with others using this app. The intercom system has a big bug that if you are listening to music and connecting helmet to helmet, it stops you from being able to talk by overtaking the microphone input. Resorted to using the shockwave as a generic Bluetooth and Discord channels for shared music and communication, unfortunately.
