I have happily used this app for more than 10 years. I subscribed for a few years but didn't use the features so have been enjoying the free version. Now the only report I use - ready to drink - has been made subscriber only. It's now $80 a year to subscribe, which is too much for me. I'll probably be looking for an alternative solution to track my wine drinking.

A must have when you want an easy but complete solution to manage your wine cellar. No more lost bottle that's way past it's drinking window as you can easily keep track of everything in your cellar! If I'd have to pick one thing to improve it would be the functionality in assisting with food pairing. Can't wait to see the new app, if you're looking for more beta/preview testers, I'm definitely willing to give it a go!

This has gotten way too expensive. I've always enjoyed using the app. Very useful and the new version is a nice visual improvement. But nothing warrants the huge increase in price. I'm forced to pay 4x more for a slight visual improvement. I feel like this has gotten very greedy. Friends I have are forced to pay upwards of 500$ for the exact same experience as me. Unacceptable

This app doesn't rquire as many permissions but functionality is hindered if you don't use it and like all apps you have to just trust they are on the leve. The barcode scanner is much needed and the overall collectio of information for the bottle seems on target but ultimately the app navigation is cumbersome and kind of sucks. This app lacks a lot in nav & interface. Its web based Facebook styled trash.

Problem with user entered data is the entry process is to complicated. The entry process is all over the place. Out of 50 bottles of wine I attempted to add to my "Cellar" only 2 existed in the search by bar code or image. And the information on them was incorrect or only partly correct. I found the app more frustrating than useful. Uninstalled after a few hours of attempting to add my wine.

I really like the ability to search by subset, like within Consumed. Very helpful when talking with other wine lovers. My biggest complaint would be that it is pretty demanding of bandwidth, which makes it challenging to use in a 3G environment with a weak connection.

I've used CellarTracker for years. CT is a great way to track wine that you've purchased and are storing/cellaring. It's incredible how much thought and effort has been put into the app. For example, take a look at the different calculations that CT uses to generate the ready to drink scores and rankings. All data is exportable, so if it's not for you, you can migrate off the app. Reminder to self: I need to make a donation because CT has really made it much easier to manage my wine!

The only thing I don't like about this app is the inability to change the quantity of bottles entered in my cellar. In the "edit" screen, the number of bottles in stock is grayed out. I miscounted how many bottles of a particular wine I had when adding to app, now I can't correct the number of bottles. I've had no other issues than that.

This is probably the 5th wine tracking app I downloaded, but I finally found the winner! Cellar Tracker has so many features that I am using it way more than I expected. Being able to search wine by a photo of the label is great and IT ACTUALLY WORKS, even for obscure/unusual wine! The sorting features for wines in your cellar are very helpful. The interface is full of customizable options and is VERY user-friendly. Customer service is responsive! Highly recommend this app!

The app itself works well if your primary purpose is to log your wine inventory and keep track of that inventory. However, the app's UI is extremely dated, very similar to Craigslist. For functions like assessing value, viewing labels, and receiving suggested new wines, this app simply isn't it. Without a major UI update, I don't see this app being many people's go-to for inventory tracking.

Let me be clear, I LOVE CT! Easy to use, really thorough, powerful database of wine including pro reviews and suggested drinking windows, and easy to add and keep track of wine. I'm giving 4 stars though as the app is missing the filter options (such as varietal, location, drink date, etc.) from website when searching wines in your own cellar. UPDATE: it's 2023 (2 years since CTs response) and I'm now giving 3 stars as there have been no updates to improve functionality for mobile users.

Old version was 100% better. Very buggy now. Scanning is much less accurate and often picks wrong wine entirely. It looks like they are trying to advertise. Always have to select every part of wine location when moving wine in my cellar. Its wasting my time, and it costs significantly more than before.

Very comprehensive management system - for personal use and used by the facility that stores my wine. I'm able to scan the barcodes or take pictures of the bottle to add just about every wine I've ever purchased. Instant access to tasting reviews from others. I love the valuation option and the ability to export the wines in CSV format. Has features for labeling your own bottles that I don't use but probably should. This app is great; however, it is in dire need of a design update.

Best app for tracking wine you taste, purchase, or collect. Track varietal, vintage, price, purchase location, even storage locations. When choosing a wine, I often have better luck with personal reviews in Cellar Tracker than anything I find online! Staff is SUPER responsive and very friendly. They're happy to add your boutique wine to the tracker if it's not already there. No "wine snobbery" anywhere in this place either!

This makes looking through my collection while shopping for pairings much simpler. An added bonus is now I can add/remove wine right when it happens, and not a few weeks or months later when I remember it again. I have to agree that label scanning like some of the competition would be the only thing I wish for, and the ability to like/dislike wines like on the website

Can't say enough good things about this app and the team behind it. There are some clunky features and some things are easier done on my laptop rather than the phone. Regardless, for a hobby collector like me, this is a miracle. I can search a huge database and, if something isn't in there, the team has never taken more than a few hours to add it. Adding wines, and all the details about their purchase or value, is a snap. I can arrange them based on my shelving. 9/10, Totally recommend.

I'd been using this software for years and had had enough. The navigation is terrible, and adding or "drinking/removing" wines from it is a hassle. All of the other features are wonderful, but can you simplify the experience and provide a decent navigation on the app? Instead of this "ported over" from the desktop version, why not make a true app?

I've used this app for about 7 years and have really liked it. I used it mostly to track the drinking window so I didn't let a wine sit for too long before drinking it. With one of the latest updates, the developers have now moved this feature to the subscription only version. Now, this app is no more valuable than an Excel spreadsheet unless you want to pay $40 minimum a year for the paid version. Pass.

I do love this app. I'm a casual wine collector and this helps me to remember the ones I really like. The team usually gets a wine added for me within a few hours, which is nice since I get a lot from various Door County vineyards (WI), and they don't always show up on a scan or search. I wonder if this app will be able to be upgraded to the new app or if a whole new download will be required.

Never perfect, the creator decided to change to a subscription service that removed many of the basic features from the original version. While no one can begrudge their need for funding, the pay model wasn't thought out appropriately. What's left is a very flawed app with a paid version disproportional for any casual wine drinker. Cannot be recommended.
