*Update Jan 2025. There is no option to add a vessel from British Columbia..painful *Update to this (March 24) I can now log in but as soon as I press any button on home screen, returns to log in screen as before. Baby steps!* I

I have been using this app since it was launched and in the last 2 years it has been very glitchy and frustrating! It seems to be a problem with Android users. Cannot scan new travelers, cannot video conference (to the point where we were denied entry to the USA), and now it is posing a log-in loop problem. Was not able to log in at all, and when I did, I got booted out. This needs to be fixed because this is our only means of crossing over by boat!

Worked fine for us for several years, but since 2024 won't work for either myself or my husband. We try logging in over and over and either get kicked out right after 2-step authentication or, if we're lucky to get past that step, then as soon as we try to update our information or report arrival. On the phone, CBP says it's working fine, but offers no assistance to us. There are no online help resources I can find. So we have to wait over an hour on hold to clear by phone.

Crashes at any number of different points. reinstalled the app, no better. Not very useful if it does not let you enter your arrival information... Used the previous SVRP effortlessly. This one, not so. With so many similar reports I have to assume they are working hard to remedy the flaws. Not many apps get such low ratings...

Good idea, but app fail to work for today. Tried 3 times today to use the app. CBP received my submissions, but after my submissions, the app would return to the login page. Agent called me and asked me to ensure the app had necessary permissions. After adjusting permissions, I made my third entry submission. Again I saw indicators saying "pending" and "processing ". Then the app put me back at login, and I was unable to respond to agent's video chat request. Called CBP and finished.

App gave message that location permissions had to be given. Did so, but kept getting message. Got out of app, signed in and again got message. App would not let me enter location. Finally, called, was pit on hold for 10 minutes before person answered, and then was able to give notice of leaving Northwest Angle.

Worked for me with no problems on a re-entry from the Bahamas by boat. Once the original setup questions were answered (names, IDs, vessel info), which I did before, the actual reporting of arrival went very fast: what vessel, what passengers (pick from the list) where did you arrive, where did you come from, 3 customs-related questions...please wait...and: welcome home! Total time for reporting the arrival, maybe 2 minutes. I especially like the feature of login.gov to receive the 2 Factor Authentication message by VOIP voice phone number, which made it possible for me to do the setup while abroad. The app does not appear to save the passport expiration date, but either it saves it where the user can't see it, or CBP doesn't care. UPDATE 8/9/2019: New release 2.7.10 fails with "not authorized" after authentication with LOGIN.GOV. Credentials are correct as I can go direct to LOGIN.GOV website and log in OK. Appears to be a problem with the handoff between LOGIN.GOV and the app. UPDATE 8/16/2019 above-referenced problem seems to be fixed

useless. Entered all my information into it and tried to check in US Upon returning from Bahamas in a pleasure boat. Kept telling me that my location permission was not turned on for the app. It was. Tried clearing cache and data and uninstalling and redoing the whole thing twice. Keeps hanging up when I click check in because it says location permission is not enabled oh, but it is.

The importance of the proper use of this app demands that a clearly worded tutorial should be readily available. Entering traveler data and setting up mode travel were straightforward and worked well but the REALLY important part of reporting arrival is so awkward I ended up thinking I was approved but in fact I was rejected via email I happened to check an hour after I arrived home. Thanks to the unbelievably patient and courteous officer, he explained what wrong and fixed the error.

App still doesn't work on my Android phone. Goes to login.gov for authentication. No authentication failure, but the app just loops through the authentication process again and again. Same thing happened last year when the phone was new. App worked on my old android phone. I've cleared the internet cache, restarted phone, etc. etc. Still no joy. Is there a phone number I can call to get some help? Leaving for remote area in Canada in two weeks and need to get this working.

I think there is something seriously wrong with the Android version of this app. When I tried to use this app on my Android phone it sent in the appropriate information but entry was denied because the video phone link didn't work. CBP told me I needed to activate the video phone permission in the app. I could find no way of doing so. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times, but was never asked for a permission. I installed the app on my wife's I-phone. It worked flawlessly.

I have used the app before and it worked. Now I needed to make use of it again and it is not functioning. I log in, receive the OTP and then it goes back to the login page or states that the app keeps crashing. I've Uninstalled and re-installed it, but still does the same. Really concerning if this is the platform to be used when re-entering the States by a vessel.

Updated 24 Jun. The recent update seems to have fixed the location bug. This is a useful and welcome system and I'm thankful that it's working again. (Review from before update:Completely defective. Used to work on Android 8 but will not access location on Pie. Says access to location is denied, which it is most definitely not. CBP people don't really know how the app works. Today I was asked about a float plan, a festure discontinued a year ago. A nice try, I guess.)

Junk! Worked great in summer and fall of 2018. now it crashes every time even after reinstalling the app. 2/4/19 update: followed directions to clear cache and reinstall. now i continually get an error message that says i need to enable location even though it is enabled on the app. can't back out of the error. un- usable.

Good idea but poorly executed. The app states it is beta and it certainly shows. The initial setup was quite painful. I almost uninstalled it and walked away. Once the setup is complete it was throwing permission errors which so many others have complained about. But all and all it seems to do what it supposed to do. My last complaint. The app has no shutdown option. It hijacks the entire screen and it's nearly impossible to shut it down with a reboot of the phone. Update: I just noticed it won't save passport issue dates in the travelers information.

App would be great if it works, but needs improvement to be fully functional. Adding travelers manually has no way to add a photo of the document, which is a requirement to add a traveler. Adding a traveler by scanning their travel document works as long as it is as passport (it extracts the passport data and adds the picture of the passport at the same time). But documents like Nexus or Green Card don't work. Travelers are also not saved across devices (stored locally on the phone only).

Doesn't seem like the app was well thought out or tested. The text describing password requirements did not correctly describe that a strong password was needed. An email with confirmation link is sent, a text with one time code is then sent, and a guid-like security code is finally sent to register the device. The text control to enter the security code is very buggy, cursor jumped all around. And finally, you gotta save the code if you ever need to register another device. Haven't tried to report in yet, but, for the time being, I am saving the call in number.

Well it was great while it lasted. the app is stuck in the processing screen. I've Uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times. still the same. It's a great idea, but it could and SHOULD be a bulletproof app, and it is not that. Update××× For most of 2024 the app began working perfectly again. Now again in Sept 2024, the app has been changed a little and now does not work again...

The latest version won't let me login unless I first dissociate cbp roam from login.gov. Then I need to enter all my info from scratch and cbp roam won't let me take the photo of my documents even though it requires that I do so. In short, this version is utterly and completely unusable. My attempts to get support have met with run around, and one cbp officer suggesting I try the iPhone version, which he thinks is more reliable. Yikes.
