Out of all the Apps I researched, this one impressed me the most. I hate giving a neutral rating but even with my GPS on, the App didn't read my full distance. I hope this is worked out because I want to try you in the future. FYI: It showed the beginning and end, leaving out most of the middle of the park. Signal available throughout.

Revision: this is a fine app. I'm using it only for cycling. It continues to function in the background. The default activity (sport) is easily changed. Four data parameters can be displayed face-up and easily changed. History can be saved in any of 3 formats. Either Google maps or open street maps may be used.

It's a good app. Only complaint is the reliability of the GPS data. It's all over the place and sometimes it's just loses connection and ruins my distance record to compare to other days. But overall it's good and the minimized ads that don't interrupt the screen is a big plus.

It was good. Stopped using it for 10 months because of injury. Had used it for 2 years or more, and loved it. Now they updated it and want permission to see my contacts, pics, etc. And the app stopped working like before. Changed all permissions, so that my 2 mile walks are not showing up, not recording it. And, now ads in-between every function, didn't have this before. So, time to get a new tracker for my walks ... This one sucks.

The blue background with white letters is hard to read normally and impossible to read when I'm on a ride and want to glance down to check one of the metrics (indicators). Also the font size for the metrics is too small. Change all blue background to white or light gray and all text to black, in a larger and bolder font. Then this app will be pretty near perfect.

Usually works well. Sometimes it drops GPS for a few moments. For some reason right now I can't get it to show satellite view on map. This has come and gone a few times. When kayaking rivers I need to know when approaching dams. Best feature is the ability to take a photo within the app and it shows the location on my path. Very helpful for remembering location of particular points of interest or safety concerns to warm others.

Very impressive app. Well designed and easy-to-use. Seems highly accurate, except maybe for the altitude measurements. Not important to me, though, and it may do better with larger changes in altitude. As a longtime Android user, I was considering switching to iPhone just so I could use an Apple Watch. With this neat little app and the Galaxy S9 heart rate monitor, no need.

Nice and reliable. I dumped the under armour app because it took too long to start up. Too much junk going on in the backend, no doubt. This one gets going as fast as I do. And it displays nearly everything I need. I would like to see the minutes per mile rate in addition to miles per hour. It gives me something tangible to shoot for. But anyway this one is working great and I can track my workouts. I paid up... Happy to support independent developers!

I'm just starting the whole walk/run thing. I chose this app blindly just looking for something that could track my mileage. If you're looking for something that's you're going to do what you want without extra frills, I recommend this app! Not only does it keep track of your mileage, but it also shows you the course that you walked on a map, and it keeps track of your time as well. I like being able to look back from when I started to where I am now and seeing the distance go up and the time go down.

Tested once so far & recorded entire track (several hours) & gives lots of good stats, but doesn't differentiate between periods of movement & sitting still (couple long periods in one spot but says 100% movement & adds that in average speed). Maybe that's what auto-pause does, but it's not clear so I didn't try it. Ideally, it should just track everything then show stats both w/ & w/out pauses taken into account. & actual time (every 15 or 30m) under the elapsed (x-axis) on chart would be nice.

I'm not at all happy with the new red banner telling me to "fix" a non-problem. Having notifications turned off is my choice; it's not a problem to be fixed. I don't want or need reminders and running activity notifications. If they leave this banner up, I'll start looking for a new app and will expect a refund from Caynax. They just lost 2 stars for this. Other than this annoyance, it's nice. Does everything I want and has good selection of settings.

This GPS Sports Tracker App is the best (free) app in the Google Play Store for my downhill longboarding uses which are to track my max speeds, durations, and also just to track where I am going, when. Sports tracking apps that specifically track "longboarding and/ or skateboarding" are few and far between but this is 1 of the few that actually has "skateboarding" as an "activity" to choose from when choosing 1 for your workout. I'd definitely recommend it if looking for a sports tracking app.

Only 4 of 5 attempts to use this app worked. Although my phone was located on my person in the exact same place, the app kept losing the GPS signal and stopped tracking the route, steps, and elapsed time. If it fails again I will delete this from my phone. Now that I have adjusted the battery optimization for this app, it is working very well. On my Samsung Galaxy Note 5, the battery drains faster than I like with this app. Adjusted rating to 4 starss.

Six months of reliable use. I have used several apps like this and it is far and away the best. The interface works well, it faithfully records my entire run, it provides a lot of useful data, and it is easy to start and stop. I appreciate the countdown timer as it gives me a chance to secure my phone before I get going. I just purchased the home workout app and the HIIT app tonight because how much I like this app. So far they're looking real promising as well.

Rating set to three while troubleshooting with Caymax update it is Feb 2024 app has struggled to work with gps once again. No updates available. I may need to look for an app with gps stability through versions. The last upgrade may have changed GPS to a fused method. I've changed it to the API to see if that fixes it. 2/8/2024- that didn't help either. Clear cache, rebooted, change GPS settings, still loses GPS all the time. I tried always allow settings, still drops. Pixel 8pro fyi

No issues, works great and simple to use! I found the app and wanted to use it to track distance in my kayak as I have begun to do cardio work outs using the kayak. I was quite amazed at the info it records, ave speed, max speed, distance, pace etc! You can also set goal and app will update your progress. Love it! Highly recommend for any activity.

I tested this tonight against my Garmin. Very accurate results. One of the best apps I've tried for kayaking or sailing. Haven't tried it on the bike yet. One nice feature is the 5 Second pause. With my Garmin I have to manually stop the program. This automatically does it. Edit.. I wish I could recommend this app because it used to be good. Something has changed and it drops GPS all the time I don't have a single record of a completed workout. Unfortunately no one is helping me with the issue

Love this app. Having the map showing the area helps me plan a route while I walk so daily walks dont get stale. Distance tracker keeps me going as I have set a 2 mile minimum per walk for my self. Stats at the end are great for comparison and adjustments on next walk. You can change the activity to ensure you get the right information ie: walking, running, cycling etc.

Very useful for walking, running, Nordic walking. Be sure and become familiar with what is in the settings. Many times advertising, GPS, battery and other settings can interfere with what you are trying to do. Do. Many recent releases have dealt with some of these problems, so many of them may be gone.

I have found a work around for the GPS drops described below. If I set Caynax to display always on, I find that the GPS connection does not drop, but auto pause does not work, so I have to manually pause it when I stop activity during a workout. Pixel 6 battery sufficient to accommodate extra drain. Android 14 not supported. GPS connection drops with no notification or auto pause when GPS connection lost.
