The board game:
Play the basic board game in multiplayer mode! Join two of your friends for a maximum of three players and face all the challenges in “Arrival on Catan”.
Make things even more exciting by unlocking the full Basegame, the expansions “Cities & Knights” and “Seafarers”, each for up to six players. The special scenario pack containing the scenarios “Enchanted Land” and “The Great Canal” adds even more variety to your games.
The game edition ‘Rise of the Inkas‘ is another exciting challenge for you, as your settlements are doomed in their heyday. The jungle swallows the signs of human civilization, and your opponents seize their chance to build their settlement at the location they crave for.

The board game is fun, and this is good to play with your friends through the internet when it works. The game is very buggy, and needs to be fixed. The game freezes from time to time, and the servers are down a lot so I can't even connect to play with anyone else. You can only play single player mode when the server is not connecting. Don't water your money on this app, and instead buy the real board game. Until this app fix it's sever connection problems, don't waste your time and money.

Literally the most bugged game application ever. When it works it's great. But you can't tab out of the game, it randomly crashes, adding your friends to a match is impossible. Random bugs constantly. This would be amazing if they fixed it, but now I just want my money back.

They need to do some work on the dice. It's clearly not random. I've played plenty of games, noticed how a number won't be rolled all game, but when the robber gets put on your hex, all of a sudden is rolled multiple times. Then the same number will be rolled 70% of the time. It's like the game gets stuck on a certain number. And there's plenty of other instances of the dice not being random. It could be a fun game if this major issue would be fixed.

ATTENTION DEVELOPERS: there was something wrong with your most recent update. I keep getting the "Find Running Game..." box up at the top as soon as the app opens and it prevents me from playing an offline game. It's fixed briefly when you reinstall the app but comes back quickly. This is happening for both android and iOS.

5/1/24: buyer beware. Do not buy any of the add ons. Every single time they push updates to the app the experience gets worse. Latest updates have made the app entirely useless. Trying to launch any game instance results in a crash. 12/11/22: Post migration ux is terrible. Game used to regularly stall during ai play, but now it routinely crashes and requires constant logging in again to the point it's annoying. Not sure who worked on the most recent changes but they really screwed it up.

Update: game updated yesterday & it's WORSE. Game crashes when starting games, so ppl get kicked out & you load in with AI. If you're lucky to get a game going, it's lagging horribly and all 3 of my games today have crashed during it. I'm talking 30+ mins in a laggy game, to be kicked out or I restart because it froze & it won't load me back in. So all that time for absolutely nothing. This is the only app where it literally gets WORSE with every update. And I never got a response from devs.

Doesn't let me register with existing profile. So I play without logging in. Which means when I change my phone, all the progress will be lost. Also after the latest update, the game either doesn't load at all or takes forever. I raised an issue and I got a reply in German a few times which I guess meant that someone will contact me shortly. But no one has contacted me since a week. On the verge of deleting my favorite game

It's a shame because I love Catan and the expansions, but this app is terrible. I purchased the app with my iPhone long ago and bought the expansions, and for a while I was able to play with friends online. There were glitches, but not too bad. Then when I switched to android I was unable to recover my purchases, so I went ahead and purchased gold (the in-app currency) to buy the game and expansions again. After they took my money, it still said I have 0 gold and I was unable to play.

App is a bit glitchy and crashes relatively frequently. I get docked "karma points" when the games crash, even though it's no fault of mine. Computer AI opponents need a lot of work to make them reasonable. They're either absolutely terrible, acting as spoilers and rendering games pointless. Or they're vicious and mean. AI opponents also cheat regularly. When it works it's fun.

Ever since I purchased the base game I've had nothing but glitches. For the last few days I the game keeps forcing a re-entry, but it doesn't help with the glitches. On several occasions I have been forced into an AI player as it says I missed my turn too many times, but I literally never had a chance! I play this game to unwind, but lately it is not worth it.... I hope I can get a refund of my $5.

I love the board game Catan. When I first downloaded this game it was great, rarely any issues. But now, it glitches all the time, doesn't load at all sometimes so I can't even play it on my phone, and multi-player hasn't worked for months. The best part was I could still play with my friends and family who don't live close, but haven't been able to do that at all for months. Would love if you could fix it so I'm not only getting to play once or twice a year when my family's together

Unplayable. I even spent the 5 bucks and still unplayable. You only get 1 sun per 12 hours (for some inexplicable reason) but when I try to use it, it just disappears. I have only successfully gotten 3 games to actually run. When it runs it's okay, but after paying $5 for it and not being able to play it, I would recommend nobody ever download this game.

In general -an AWESOME game with great graphics. My only real complaint is the lack of explanation when I try games like Rivals of Catan or special Scenarios. I was able to look up through latter online pretty easily & will now try looking up Rivals. 2nd minor frustration is that I almost always win if I play beginning AI's, but I always lose if I play intermediate ones. I wish there was just a little less of an extreme so I could hone my skills better. But otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy it!

The only thing annoying is the the rolls are extremely set to favor the computer, opponent. How is it's that only playing 3 people, in 6 turns I get one resource and all the rest of the players are getting 4 to 5 resources, it's like toward the end of the game no matter what and where I have my pieces those numbers are avoided how do you roll 2,3,and 11 3 times in a row but 10,5,9,8 stop rolling landing, like cmon doubles on 1 and another 11 and 12 naw man, I see better odds in the casino.

After the most recent update, single player is broken. It's always stuck at "Find running game..." Even though I select new game. Will update if they got fix this. Update: You can get around this error by turning off WiFi and turning on airplane mode before opening the app. You can turn it back on after you start your single player game. Alternatively, you can clear the data on your game through app settings but you then have to login again and redo your settings.

Game crashes too much, the AI can sometimes get to the point that it's unenjoyable. The most recent game I played kept skipping over my turn, i stopped playing lay halfway through. It's ridiculous that everybody has to purchase the base game in order to play with more than three people. Honestly with the way the app works across all devices ( including the browser version) i wouldn't recommend this game or buying ANY. Of the base games. Absolutely terrible experience.

The app is great......when it actually works. I've only had it for about a month, bit it seems like whenever they update 1 thing something else gets broken. I bought the base game for $5 but haven't been able to play it due to always getting an infinite loading screen whenever I que up. That's for both multi-player AND single-player. When I'm actually in a game it's fun. But it's such a struggle to make it that far. I'm sure they'll fix this issue in future updates but for now it's terrible.

Great game. A bit clunky with password resets and log in. Sometimes it won't load a new game at all. When playing offline, the computer clearly favors the computer (AI) players. Luck of the draw, unrealistic come backs, and awful luck of the draw on your part. It's really quite annoying. The algorithm for drawings cards at random seems off to me both when playing the AI or online.

Hey developers! I have played this game for a while, purchased expansion packs, and previously loved it. But after the last update, I am constantly stuck in finding running game mode. When I try to play a new game, it randomly freezes and then reverts to the finding running game wheel of death. Please fix issues so this game can be enjoyed again!

This app worked great through the tutorial & for a couple days afterward, then got spotty. I uninstalled it a couple of times & reinstalled it & it worked for 1 game each time I reinstalled it & then it didn't work. I'm not sure of the reason, but I'm glad I didn't spend any money on it. I really like it, but it's unreliable. Great concept, but it doesn't always follow the rules (having different stages for the main game) - it lets you build & trade whenever.
