Wanted to stream a church service to our non-smart TV. This app worked great! It took a few tries to get everything just right, but I don't think it was a problem with the app. Once all the pieces were in place for the broadcast, the app worked perfectly for our entire two hour service. Thank you! (The broadcast came through a web player on a live stream and went through our Roku 3.)

2nd day using it,got the Pro version. On settings there are 2 expansions that you can install and may improve the usability, performance of the app.Great job, love it👍I like that the TV can be all volume down and I can use the Bluetooth headphones...that's great to allow others to sleep in peace.😁Overall great app & it looks nice the layout, and found DrWeb firewall was impacting this app, if you use a firewall, maybe you will need to use another one, changing it did a great difference.

I used to use Web Video Caster for casting videos from the web to my TV. It used to work fine but last year the frame rate dropped significantly. It made every video look choppy. I tried a number of casting apps to find a replacement. I finally came across this one. It works great. The playback is smooth. So far it hasn't stopped playing after 30 minutes like Web TV Caster. I'm very happy with this.

Best of the casting apps I've tried, but it has a few shortcomings. Subtitles are automatically displayed if you rewind several times in a row and stays on for only a minute. But, there's no way to turn embedded ones on manually, only selecting an external file or searching the web and then a tap to turn it off, even if it's off already. Similar issues for changing the audio stream and files are all sorted by date with no way to change to alphabetical.

So much better than other casting apps that have too many faults and difficulties to go into, but even when the other casting apps actually work and stream, they sometimes buffer and stop mid movie where this one not only never buffers, but even when I accidentally hit the home button on my fire tv, it actually starts up again right from where the move left off, amazing! ! That was one of my biggest beefs with localcast, since I would have to start the movie over anytime it either stopped working or I sat on my remote control, and try to find a way to fast forward to where I left off. Seriously, this beats the competition by a mile, best casting app ever!

It took me messing around with the app to get it going. When I was trying to screen share, my football team was already playing after a grocery trip. I was being dumb & impatient. Once I wasn't as rushed & wanting it to be now, this app is incredible. It even gives you options for video quality. I didn't know that Roku had things like this until recently, but it is greatly appreciated. This is a must have for all Roku or hardware that supports it. All praise & awaiting new features.

I'm very picky when it comes to paying for free apps. I've had this one for close to a year to stream videos to Chromecast and Xbox Ones. I had tried several others prior, but often ran into the problem of either videos not playing or playing without sound. I have yet to run into that problem with Castify. It is my go to app for anything casting related. I cannot recommend it enough. Try out the free version. The ads aren't too bad and the devs deserve the money if you can't handle the ads.

Was a 5 star rating now it's a 2. It used to work perfect. Now once I start streaming to my tv after a few minutes the picture on my tv goes back to the main menu & won't return to the movie unless I hit pause & then play again on my phone, but you can still hear the audio the whole time. After I end the streaming, my tv screen goes black, there's still sound but no picture. I can still see & access my settings menu so it's not my TV, it's the App. I have to shut my tv off for hours to fix it.

It works great (so far). It works better than all of the apps I have used up to now. I have paid for a couple of other apps that seemed to work at first but would start sending ads after I had paid for "ad-free" or would stop connecting to my smart TV or would connect to Chromecast only even though they claim to work with a long list of devices. This app has none of those problems. It works flawlessly! ...so far.

Ever since the update, it will freeze in the middle of a tv show or movie, I've cast to my screen, and then it'll start buffering, and I will have to basically start the entire show or movie over again, only to have it happen again! Please fix this issue. This has NOTHING to do with my internet, as I've reset my connection, and it STILL happens! Thanks! Once these issues are fixed, I'll change my rating. This used to be an absolutely amazing app, before these glitches started happening.

If you have a device that has trouble screen casting to your TV, this is the ONLY app that has worked! It is a tiny bit confusing at first, but I just played around with it and it works great. HOWEVER, I have noticed that with every update it would work less and less often. The last update made it so NOTHING would work. I googled "castify app older version" and found they have every version available for free. I reinstalled an older version from last month and it is working great again :)

UPDATED REVIEW FROM 5☆ TO 2☆ I don't know what is the issue with the app. It opens on its own over & over again. I deleted the app & reinstalled it yet the issue persist i have a Roku Ultra. Purchase 1/2023. No updates available for neither the Roku or the app. I also have to occasionally re-add my ip address to use the app. Please FIX it. I use this app often. 1st Review Awesome. It's a bit confusing on how to use it but once I figured it out I have to say so worth the trouble

Hands down the best casting app. I've tried so many others and they have AV sync issues, FFWD/REW issues, difficulty pairing with devices and staying connected. I've been using Castify for years with my Roku, Chromecast & Firestick, and it's rock solid. Connects quickly every time, stays connected and lets you seek perfectly. The software had some features break (like file search) in Oct.'23 but the developer has since fixed those (THANKS!) so if you had an issue before give it another try!

I was able to cast videos from my Androidphone onto my Roku TV in 2 minutes. I had trouble getting the audience of command of my TV and only seen two months who come out of my phone. I believe I spent a good 15 minutes working on it I could probably figure out how to get the audio to come out of the TV. That is why I only got four stars. Ty. Update, sound now typically comes out of the TV without having to click anything

This app works like none of the others. It does most of the work for you. Just keep attaching latest site to the app and it's starts casting,/mirroring AND copying. It even shows you every option of casting / mirroring to your TV set that's available for that website. If one doesn't work just tap below that or the one below that to finally find the one that does match the codec. This is the best app for casting / mirroring that I've ever used. Thank you., finally.

Edit: down to 2 stars because pop-up blocker causes sites not to recognize that pop-up opened and the video won't be playable. If an option to open pop-ups in a new tab was available, then it would solve this issue. The browser is very simple and works perfectly so far! Casts my Pixel 4 to my Roku easily and I can watch anything on the Internet on my TV! I love this app.

Can't get it to work at all. It sees my Xbox one but still can't connect to it. Idk what the deal is. It won't connect to the Roku either. Update: I updated and still no luck. I've tried everything from going by the in app instructions to watching how to videos on YouTube. I used this app successfully before the pandemic and technology has changed since then. Some things just aren't meant to be. Customer service bumps my rating up to 2 stars. Response was prompt and professional.

It's a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is amazing! It's not compatible with MacBook pro unfortunately, but the mobile version has been a life saver! My streaming platforms that don't have mobile apps or don't have apps on Roku TV yet can be streamed from my phone on their web browser, and it's not even out of sync! By far the best casting/screen mirroring app so far.

A-freakin-mazing! Simple and perfect for streaming any online video's url (I'm using fmoviesz.to and watching Dark Matter series). So... On your Roku device, just find and install the castify app (after installing "Cast to TV" here) Then paste the video URL of your choice into this Cast to TV app on your android device. Making sure your Roku device and Android device are on the same Wi-Fi network, it literally pops up and starts playing right on your Roku TV! NO OTHER APP worked at all. 🤯

I can cast any video now and it comes up in portrait mode all except for one or two. I have gone into the settings and I have kicked it to always be in portrait mode and then I recast the same video and it is in landscape. Can you guys please help me in figuring out how to get the videos to come up in portrait the same way they are made in video. I've spent so much time on this trying to figure it out. Any help at all would be so much appreciated! I've even tried to turn the actual video
