What a joke. It's an absolute downgrade in quality, and functionality. Can't connect to the watch 9/10 times, if it does, then can't transfer data without time out or error screen. No dark mode?! And what's up with this home page that less about home page and more about unwanted casios instagram feed and advertising. And have you read the data mining agreement? They basically want full access for non functional support app to their watches. Very disappointed.

Needs treadmill functionality. I.e. take stride distance from a gps walk/ run and apply it to a walk when not outside., Via say steps. Also, having to set a sleep time isnt always possible with a variable schedule. Part of getting a watch to track sleep time is having a watch that tracks sleep time. If i have to tell it when i am sleeping i might as well just note it in a diary. There should be a better way to handle this.

What were you thinking Casio? The app doesn't even open! The old app was way better and at least it worked! Edit: ok I had to uninstall reinstall then rejoin and log in and now it works. But seriously it's like a store front. I just want this app for my watches not shopping. Also it constantly gives me a notification that it's trying to connect to my watches. I can't stop it from running and therefore it's burning my battery. Who ever came up with this app should be fired.

It syncs settings and the time to my watch just fine. I don't like the fact that the UI is clunky and feels like a magazine advertisement. It also does not sync with Google Fit. The watch tech comes from Polar, an expert in wearable fitness monitors, but the app does not sync with Polars app. This is a big miss as well.

As other reviews stated, the most glaring annoyance is the inability to set individual notifications. It's either all or nothing. I'd like to just be notified when I get calls or texts, but there's no way to do that. Turn on notifications, and you get them from everything! Very frustrating. I can't imagine that's a very difficult update to perform, and it would make the watches with notifications so much more useful.

I used to have the gshock app before they migrated over. The old app was much better than this. This apps website login is very slow and unusable. You need to be logged in to connect your watch. It periodically logs you out. I've only been able to log in once. They old app looked better and had the features I wanted more accessible. I just want the old app back.

I have the new Rangeman and it does not sync right away with Strava. If I remember, I have to go into the app and Wait for it to sync with the app and then send it to Strava. Also the notifications always turn back on for things that I've turned off on the app. It's very buggy and frustrating. Besides those frustrations, I do love the watch though, lol!

It works again. Not sure what changed but it was able to connect. Let's see if it stays that way. Not sure what happened. It just stopped working after 2 months and won't connect to watch. Uninstalled, reinstalled, disconnected watch, deleted watch info, tried to reconnect -- keep getting error that it can't connect. Disappointed. Not reliable.

App is basically an advertisement for other Casio watches, as a companion to their dw-h5600 fitness tracker is the app is pretty rudimentary and limited. Would have been much better if there was some sort of support for Google fit. I'm a fan of G-shocks and really want to love the watch/app but it all feels half baked. Also somehow the app recognizes time on bike, even though there is no option for a bike workout, just running and walking. I wish I would have gone with Garmin.

Not sure how much is the app, and how much is the watch, but the Bluetooth functionality is really weak with my GST-600. I wasn't expecting smartwatch or even fitness tracker functionality, but it still comes up short of expectations. About the only thing the app does is allow you to set an alarm through your phone. But even that is weak since the alarm can't even be programmed for certain days. Great looking watch, but that's where it ends.

Only gets 2 stars because you can update most features of the watch via the app. However, it loses 3 because of how annoying the app is. Your max time the app will allow the watch to stay connected is 10 minutes, so unless you leave the app running and check it every 10 minutes it will disconnect. This would not be an issue, as I only want to connect to upload my steps. Yet, the app will continue to send you notifications to connect all day long, as well as keep running in the background.

The app is buggy, difficult to understand, and frequently very delayed in updating information. Also, the sleep quality Evaluation is very good but always shows on the day you went to sleep instead of showing the results on the day you woke up. The heart rate can be set to "always on" but then requires you to set the watch to heart rate or it doesn't seem to capture.

The app requires me logging in to be able to connect a watch. to log in to the app, it opens a browser page to log in to the website. Sometimes, it logs in correctly on the browser, sometimes not. regardless, the app never realizes that you logged in on the browser, and I can not move forward. user error? Maybe. Functional app? Not really.

Why is there no way to select the language all across the app? When I change the Sim card in my phone, the app switches to the Sim country language. I went to the Middle East, the app switches to English (Ok), Then I came to France them Italy, then Germany and the app would switch language for the stories, etc... I found no way to select and keep a particular language. It needs shortcuts between My Watch and My Page to go to the other pages of the app without having to revert to the home page.

Not sure what's going on as this app seems to get good ratings, but for me I've had issue after issue. Sending settings to the watch via the app only seem to stick for a few minutes then whatever I changed goes back to defaults on the watch and in the app. The app constantly says no connection right away after I connect BT and it takes a few tries to connect via BT. Now I rarely use the app and have learned the process and button combos to manually change what I need via the watch & not the app.

the app throws a lot of data that the user may not want to see when first opening up. you should create a checklist of options the user wants to see up front so they can customize it. seeing a whole bunch of year statistics is not necessarily what you always want to see. when you send a notification to the watch. have in big font what app is sending the notifications. some apps like security cameras send a lot of notifications or maybe have an option to select which apps you want notified

Works well for what I need it for. Pros: - Sync seems stable and reliable, especially when compaed to Fossil and older Fitbits - Seems like all settings that can be managed directly on the watch have a counterpart on the phone - so you can adjust easier. Cons: - marketing notifications can be controlled. Non critical notifications come up at all hours.

App works well but should allow more customization of watch functions like certain days of the week for alarms vs just on or off. App could trigger the watch to connect upon opening vs having to have the watch do it. Would also be nice if you could toggle on or off, Multi Band 6 vs Phone time syncing, why force it to default to app only? If you want to push people to use an app, it should have more perks for customization. The articles are nice for deep diving into casio watches & history.

"Casio doesn't allow third-party apps to integrate with their platform. It can't be done." Worst news possible for any fitness tracking uses: no health connect or health sync compatibility means I can't use the health data for anything. Basically, it's a downgrade from a pen and paper. Still good for setting the time and looking up the manual.

It covers the basics well, with 2 things can be better: 1. I already own the 5600 with fitness data, didn't want to see the 'ad and buy' page, want to access my data most of the time directly. Option to pick the starting page when opening the app? 2. Android's Google Fit sync is missing. It's 2024, why can't I sync up to my Android phone?
