Since I've got the phone I've been unable to stream any live stream without constant buffering even with full 5G coverage that means the antenna shows full connectivity could not be any faster and I cannot watch video. They also have no coverage where they claim to even for phone calls, their coverage map is a complete lie especially when you get just a bit out of the cities. Like I said I've been trying for 2 weeks I can switch to Wi-Fi and it works perfectly. Only less intensive intenet works

Intrusive AF {check the Xtra premission page. You'll have to locate it first tho since it's not included with the "app permissions menu. Just go to the top right corner while in any apps permission menu and you'll see 3 dots. Hit that and your presented with the "all permissions" option. That's where you'll find the truth on what the apps are actually doing.} Idk if anyone will see this but to those who do please spread the word. I can't be the only one to see this as wrong & We can't delete it

Just Data Collection in the description. Google Messages doesn't need this app to function. RCS Messaging works fine with this app disabled. I keep it stalled, but blocked, just in case I need it. There's also a separate Carrier Services app on my phone with a black badge. I disabled that as well. My guess is this one is from Google, which it is, and the other one is from the carrier. Neither are required.

New phone doesn't have this "app". And wow. With this phone my games almost never hang or disconnect, everything is super responsive in the game, streaming looks good almost all the time, far less buffering interruptions, Assistant instantly interprets what I say and gives the results very quickly. All of this is new to me. All my previous phones had this damn thing installed and this one doesn't, so yeah - Carrier Services is a prime suspect. Obviously I don't need it so pfft to u, Google

The newest update has screwed up my phone. My call features, like using speakerphone or just trying to talk in general, don't work. I can't send picture messages or any message with a link in it. Also, the swipe option keyboard no longer works properly and puts random words in. The camera gives me an error code and won't work. Most of the apps malfunction now as well.

If the app actually worked on a consistent basis but it doesn't. rarely can you access any or all of the features and the suggested fix is to download the app again. Sometimes the App simply does not open and other times only one of the options such as paying your bill can be opened and looked at but you can do nothing about payment arrangements or actually making a payment so you are forced to call T-Mobile and then you are forced to be hand strong into a $10 fee. I feel very ripped off.

KEEPS DISCONNECTING!!! It will work for a little while and then it starts disconnecting, so I lose Chat features. I stop receiving RCS messages from my friends and family with Android Messages's Chat features. I have to Clear Data and Cache from the Carrier Services app for it to work, but then it stops again later. I have to repeat that process over and over again daily; if I remember to do it. I'm almost considering an iPhone. My problem is I love Android. But this is ridiculous!!!

Ever since this update, my cell service is been mostly non functional. I can't stream music at all, weather apps and websites don't load, calls drop. Apps say that I don't have internet connection when it shows full LTE bars. Google Pixel 3a. **I just UNinstalled this app and now my cell service works again! For anyone else that wants to do this: go to the app store, find this app, click uninstall, put your phone in airplane mode then turn off airplane mode, restart your phone.

Have S22 Plus, 2 months old. No need to repeat the issues I'm experiencing, they are all that, what others posted already. PLUS, not sure if it is related to it, but I'm not able to send text, or photos to some I-PHONE users Received text expires in hours/days Some received messages just loading, never downloaded & expires without being read. Tech support couldn't fix it, also since the last update, colors and fonts changed, not able to restore to the original setting.

I just got a new phone which installed this app with it. It made it so I couldn't send any sms messages at all! I could still receive sms (about 10-15 minutes later than they actually sent it) but I could not send. After a few hours of digging I came to the conclusion that this app is what was causing me problems. I uninstalled it and my sms messages IMMEDIATELY started working again so I know for 100% that this app was at fault. I'd give 0 stars if I could! Glad to have it gone.

THIS APP STINKS! I don't think it's even necessary. I (stupidly) updated this app last week and immediately apps stopped working or opening at all. I received pop-up messages that said "Unfortunately," *blank* has stopped." It seemed like a virus was attacking my phone as apps crashed one after another. Text messaging, Gmail, shopping, sports, etc. apps stopped opening one by one. I was so upset. I uninstalled the update but it still left the junk behind that created the problem to begin with.

From reading some of your comments it's clear to me that it's still unclear what our service providers do with our phones. Some are more invasive than others but all have connection control. Even with mobile data off my phone still uses mobile data communication to the tower. It is just not accounted as user data and isn't in the bill. Airplane mode does seem to inhibit mobile data and phone transmission. Your phone always listens so it knows what to do when you disable airplane mode.

This app did an update on 12/3/20 and ever since then I have been having problems sending and receiving text messages. My text messages won't send and I can't receive messages. Sometimes after restarting my phone I will receive some messages but not always. I finally narrowed it down to what the culprit was and uninstall this app and my text messaging is working great, back to normal!!

Clearly there is an issue with this release because those using it claim the beta version "fixes" the connectivity issues. I lost connection a couple times and errantly blamed it on a "no phone zone"...not the case! Imagine your life was on the line and you couldn't call for help because of this bug? With how much importance we place on our cell phones, you'd think this would be a high priority fix. PS - Don't bother emailing the address listed on here. They stopped monitoring it.

Apps on my new Pixel 6 Pro keeps crashing randomly. They just stop working. Some of them need uninstalled and reinstalled because once they crash wont start again. Hope you guys at Google are working fast on getting an update to fix all these bugs on a new update that it's available for everybody (connectivity, sound, etc., which I'm also experiencing on my phone). The whole situation is frustrating. Makes me feel I have a beautiful and powerful tool on my hands that it's good for nothing.

I see a lot of reviews critizing that people don't know what this does. The bad reviews are not about what the app is supposed to do, but what the app is doing by accident. For the past two days my texts messages have not been sending like normal. I keep getting errors and I attempt to resend. After looking into the issue the fix seems to be deleting this app. As soon as I uninstalled it my texts started sending again. It doesn't matter if "it works" if it's causing interference with texting.

Idk what Google did; this nonsense has been going on since mid-May. To everyone who's been having issues, here's a few things that help: Turn OFF Chat. It sucks, but that's the only way people will get your texts. An issue I've been experiencing is the Google verification stuff will not work on cellular data. I have to either connect to Wi-Fi, or go into the app settings, clear the storage/cache from CS app, & restart the phone, don't re-connect Wi-Fi. 500 letter limit. Hope this helps.
