Why this new version? Original worked fine and looked, behaved like actual wall unit. Additionally, now often does not connect and operating status not showing actual stage unit at! Overall step in wrong direction IMHO. 9/23 update...app now working pretty good..only complaint is operating status does not work. Always show 0stage, and 0% filter life...running latest android version..please fix. Accessing via gear icon, operating status\manage Thank you

App frequently appears out of sync with actual settings on thermostat rendering the app useless. But then it's always been useless. This app for Carriers overpriced proprietary thermostat continues to frustrate. When the Carrier hvac dies I'll be going with a different brand despite Carrier's excellent hvac hardware. In the end, it's only as good as the human interface.

Really like the app, pretty easy to use. Settings take a little longer to go into effect but just a few minutes. I would love to see a feature where you can get a notification when the outside temperature reaches your lower set temperature so you know when to close your windows in the morning when you are trying to cool your house off.

I wish I could leave zero stars... This app is constantly out of synch with the thermostat unit. More often than not, we command a change in temperature, and it doesn't propagate to the thermostat unit. The latest bug in the app is a mismatch in time zone between the wall controller and the app...so the preset schedules are completely messed up and they change based on the app and not the wall controller time. The carrier app and wall units are absolute junk.

Below was my last comment. Did an update today, 08/02/24. App will not even open and sync with control. Worthless. New update is worthless. Can not change the temperature. No matter what you try to change in the app, the thermostat stays at the last setting entered from the thermostat. I did the update, and my wife did not. The old version on her phone still works.

they had a good app. it looked just like the thermostat on the wall and gave you all the same information you could get on the wall thermostat. now with the updated version looks nothing like the wall thermostat and can't get other information on what going on with your system, like what stage it is on what zones are cooling. I have had other carrier thermostats in the past which are not cheap and they have all have not been user friendly. I wish carrier would put some research into the thermost

my thermostat is connected to my wifi. all the app says is 'a system error has occurred' I can't control any part of my brand new hvac system. I miss nest already. I'd give this zero stars, if possible. useless app Edit: I'll change my review to 4 stars. We had to then go reboot the entire HVAC system and I 'think' that's what enabled my phone to connect to it through the app. Once we FINALLY got it working it's pretty useful and I like it's function. But geez, what a pain to get connected.

App stopped working. Just background image, no login info or access to control HVAC. Edit: to add, customer service unresponsive and the app still does not open. Over ten thousand dollars for a system that is completely useless for my needs. Carrier has completely failed at basic functionality. I would give zero stars on this. The developers apparently have zero clue about an API or I would be able to implement a workaround myself. I would not recommend Carrier to anyone at this point.

App doesn't even open. I do get a picture of a nice living room with a cute dog, but that's all I get. No permissions denied, latest android, and UI versions. Latest app version. Cleared everything, un-installed then reinstalled the app. Worthless. BTW, my carrier infinity thermostat keeps crashing, too. Thank you, carrier, for all the aggravation I incur attempting to condition my house. Would give zero stars if that were an option.

Updated the comfort schedule in my phone and over 4 hours later it was still not updated on the thermostat. Entered it manually instead on the thermostat. I change the temp on the thermostat and it doesn't register in the app for hours and vice versa. I think the app looks nice, but the communication between the app and the thermostat is incredibly laggy. If it was faster, it might actually be useful and offer more information such as live equipment status, fan speed, etc...

I've had this app almost a month. All's well and I get an email should I adjust the temperature. Today however would have been great if it told me the wall unit went offline. It was like this for a few hours perhaps, and for some weird reason the humidity just kept going up. (81%, higher than before I had the new AC installed, yikes) You figured it would just stay on the schedule but no. I have to babysit it, I guess. *sad trombone noises* if this gets fixed I'll change my rating, no problem.

App still shows time ahead by weird amounts (currently 3h 45m) compared to wall thermostat and phone where app is running. Makes it impossible to use "hold until" in most situations. Reinstalled app, etc. as suggested, none of that helped. Told it would be fixed in the "next version" but that was two versions ago. Numerous other problems, but these mirror the same problems in the wall thermostat software, so I won't bother to list them here.

App has been good for me and have not had many of the problems other have reported. However recent storm caused a tree fall and destroyed weather head. Did not have power for 2.5 days but app says unit used power all that time. Makes one wonder about the accuracy of that feature in the app.

App and Carrier servers are essentially worthless. Multi thousand dollar system with an app and servers maintained by idiots. Each "fix" makes it worse. Another random update, now I'm getting notifications I can't read or figure out what they are. Update 1June24 - Servers down again. This thermostat is pure garbage, never stays connected to WiFi or the Carrier servers. Update 9/29/24 Carrier Servers down again!

Constantly loses record of the devices and needs you to reconnect. Also loses wifi connection for no reason. Lastly, usually doesn't successfully send the entire manual adjustment to the thermostat (only sends mode, doesn't send temp) so what's the point?! Highly disappointed.

App did not work. Called installers, came and tried and said that Carrier servers were down so they can't connect. Called Carrier support, they said my internet connection was too fast and I needed to have att boost slow speed signal. Att came, Said signal was fine. Installers came out again, said system will not work with att internet. System was able to connect using phone as hotspot.

When we had the heating and air installed, the wall thermostat work perfect, the best was it worked with Alexa. Now Alexa says it's not supported, I don't know what your programmers did but I can not get Alexa to work anymore, if it goes on and I can't get it to work with Alexa, I'm going to switch with a different brand thermostat that actually works with Alexa.

I love this app, and it works pretty well. My problem is that one of my Carrier units does not always respond when I first make an adjustment from my phone. I have to go back in my phone and make that same adjustment two or three times before it actually occurs. 10/12/24: The thermostats have been much better lately in responding to commands given through the app, so I am updating and changing this review to 4 stars. I don't like the weather taking up space on the screen, so please remove.

I swear I used to be able to control the app from more than one phone. Now only one person can connect to it at a time. This is beyond ridiculous. Now instead of my partner and I both being able to adjust the temperature if we're uncomfortable, one person is always waking up the other. Please fix this. If my furnace was compatible with literally any other smart thermostat, I would've changed it over already. I am low key considering buying a whole new furnace just because of this thermostat.

Works great...... when it works. Every couple weeks or so, it gets disconnected from the thermostat and I have to manually reconnect it back. It's good for a couple weeks, then disconnects again. My Internet/modem/router is fine. Something is up with the app, the thermostat, or both.
