This is a scam. I tried to make a reservation through the app several times and was told there was an error, and I was never sent a confirmation about a completed reservation. Yet my card was charged twice for the Pay Now fee and when I tried to sent a message on the up to contact them, it gave another error message saying the message couldn't send. I was in a car accident and all I wanted was a rental for a few days so I can get to and from work, but I lost $80 with no car still. Scam.

Leaving 1 star because they don't allow zero. Initially the reservation confirmed the location of pickup/drop off then changed it. Info was very vague and took a few days to get all information about location. Plans changed and I requested a cancellation/refund a week prior (w/ their help & confirmed), was told to wait 10 days. No response after until I emailed them and was told it was denied and isn't negotiable but they offered "Carla cash" which has extreme timeframe/location stipulations.

Do not use this garbage service. I rented a car through their app. They provided a receipt with a specific total. My card was then charged two separate fees, listed nowhere in any or the correspondence that I was provided. They do not answer calls, and would only email about my issues. Nothing was resolved on their end and I still have the two unexplained charges after the actual rental charge.

One of the top apps for nearby auto rentals. There are many different vehicles available, so you'll never be unsatisfied. I heartily urge everyone to download this app to find the best prices. There are no additional fees, and reservations may be canceled at any time. I've had excellent customer service. Dollar rejected my rental since they couldn't run a credit check. Nothing said there would be credit check anyway. I hold both businesses accountable for that. Carla has no customer support number under the guise that they've found that email support works better. That's a lie to cover that they don't want to spend money on customer support or answer service requests. It's a little easier to drop emails than not pick up the phone. Don't try to respond and say to email! I have long email threads!

Horrible first experience. Will not try again. Drop off and pickup times were changed between my booking screen (I have the screenshot) and the final reservation. In panic I used their contact form, heard nothing until they cancelled my reservation because the "unlikely event" (their words) - they couldn't find a car for me - had happened. And I'm out $29 for the wait list fee. Buyer beware! Don't be a sucker like me!

I like the location search tool. I would need something fairly close to my parents house. The virtual map is helpful. I don't like how the current car disappears completely when it's selected and only is shown again at the end. I clicked the checkmark, got no confirmation, only a registration form. It would be more helpful to have the iimage (even if it's small) of the car and/or title of the car to not confuse the renter. That's the only negative. It's a good app, 4 out of 5 stars.

If I could give it 0 stars I would simply because it was a huge increase of deposit price when I went to pick up ....... Like 300$ more meaning it was a 500$ dep plus the rental, so I did not do it. I could not do it. It was way over the price shown. They kept the money that I paid for the rental, even though I did not pick up vehicle. That was 200$. This app is a scam. It rips you off. And there was no way to contact either as you receive an error when attempting to send a message.

SCAM. I wouldn't recommend this app AT ALL! One hour before the pick-up time, the rental company and location were revealed to me. Once I got there, there was an issue that forced me to cancel. I requested a refund of $172 that THIS APP charged me for a car I didn't rent. After two weeks of going back and forth with "customer support," I was finally told that the escalation team would contact me in 10 days. A month later, I contact them only to be told NO. FYI, no one will answer if you call.

Confusing ap. Gave me a rental for a company that didn't exist in my area. I had to rent a car last minute from Hertz and ended up paying way more. They would not refund. Instead, they gave me a $29 credit. I spent an extra $200 to get a car last minute. They also charge hidden "broker" fees that don't show up on the final bill on the ap, but show up on your credit card statement. Do not get this ap

While the prices are great, there is NO cancel button in the reservation. So, I emailed customer service. They told me it should be in my reservation. It is not! My email is verified, I can SEE my reservation but it only has 'find hotel deals' button, I've sent screen shots. I have the voucher number, I will contest this charge with my bank and report this app as fraud if you cannot cancel it manually when a customer asks!!

OK sssooo the app does NOT explain how it works, and the price for me when I tried it? 72.50. First thing, the app requires you to select extras, and then add it to the total... pppsstttt, for $72.50 I can rent a zipcar for a whole day with less hassle... I'm still not understanding what's different with Carla vs other car searching rental apps.... oh, and I didn't see a "pay later" option, just wanted my credit card info to pay for the full price for 1 day. I am 100% sure I'm Uninstalling.

I know app ads lie, hard. But this should be outlawed! Advertising prices that are less than 5% of what the app actually shows you. All you're doing is going to an app, instead of using a website, is searching all the car rental companies in your chosen area. Once u pick a company then you can check out their cars for rent. Car rentals are like $250 a day. I can buy an RV camper for that! I searched all over for the fabled $10 a day car rental. Nonexistent. For shame.

All of these reviews are not accurate, they are paid promoters. Carla is the most unprofessional and unempathetic company I have ever dealt with. I made a reservation and they took over 5 hrs to send confirmation. I went to the rental car place when they reopened and tried to get a car and they didn't have any available. After calling and emailing them for months they kept denying my request and then blocked my phone after continuing to call to speak to management.

They overcharged my account, didn't send the pickup location until I contacted them about the money that was taken from my account. By then it was almost too late to pick up the car and I was still told they only chargede 41.40. I've only gotten a partial refund. What little money left in my account now got frozen from trying to cancel the payment. So I couldn't even afford to get a rental through another agency. Yet they offered a small discount off my next rest reservation. DO NOT USE THIS APP

Do NOT sign up. Once they take your card for subscription, even if you cancel within minutes due to prices or credit card hold rates, they will not refund. Also tried to call and cancel as soon as possible and the number said they were closed because of high call volume. The support that i emailed was unable to refund me anything (initial payment and subscription payment) and i was told it was a different department. Literally did not have thia account for more than an hour. Im out $125

The agency is fake. We rented the car using their services, confirmed with them twice that we have the size of vehicle we paid for and car rental. Not only the car did not exist in the rental place, they are refusing to make it right. We had to go over the budget to be able to find another rental last minute, spent hours at the airport with small children after international flight without a car as we trusted them. YOU CAN DISPUTE THOSE CHARGES WITH YOUR BANK. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME First of all I was charged for two different reservations. $85 dollars each. Then when I pick up my car they said they couldn't accept my debit card. So I lost about $170 in a day plus many inconveniences without a car. I tried to contact but couldn't caused the contact on the app does not work. The refund request in the app does not work. They shouldn't have the app running at all. Very disappointed.

I used affirm to pay for my rental over time. Two days prior to pickup I was informed of additional fees via email and was told that I could cancel snd get a refund. I decided not to take the rental and I requested a refund. I've been told as per their policy I'm not owed one. Save yourself a headache, you're better off using uber. They also require you to pay for insurance on the vehicle at pickup unless you can add it to your policy, so be prepared to shell out another $300 for that.

Definitely a SCAM! I feel so stupid for uploading my information to this app for faster checkout. I could literally cry. I should've read the reviews sooner. Placed a reservation and now I have a hold on my debit card in the amount of $50.65. Hopefully no further charges will run. Got to the rental place, they found my information, but much of it was incorrect. Rental carriers will NEVER allow you to rent without a credit card (at least at an airport). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR DIME!
