Used to be the best app for cars, but after recent updates it has really gone down the drain. I have to sign in every time i open the app. I have to re-enter my zip code even after I had just started a search. Sometimes it will only ahow a picture of the car and no information. When i do start a new search, I pick the manufacturer then model twice. When prompted the second time, I have to make sure I put in the exact same information or it will not show any vehicles. I miss the old Carfax.

My husband and I both have this app. So he often sends ads for cars to me to look at. But instead of sending me to the vehicle he wants me to see, the app sends me to the Play Store with the option to open the app. Once I do, it reacts as if I had just opened the app, and asks me whether I want to search for a Carfax report, or search for a used car. It's completely worthless for sharing with anyone what you want them to see! 😕

WOW!! I just downloaded this app and deleted it almost immediately when I looked at the security notification. Anyone who has this app might want to take a look at it before you decide to keep it. With all of the information this app collected by it and Carfax like personal info,email,web history, and more, but yet it's not encrypted. It's not encrypted, and you can't delete it. Sorry I don't value using carfax that much, I'll find another way

App literally never works Carfax as a company and a website is great. However their app is trash. It'll say 0 cars when I haven't even added a filter yet. It works on occasion. Closing out of the app completely doesn't work. Upgrading it doesn't work. Deleting and reinstalling only sometimes works, but I'm not gonna waste my time doing that everytime I want to search for a car. Fix your app.

Horrible security model, app constantly malfunctions (often shows zero cars available at any distance), car notifications aren't chaseable (it doesn't open the details on the car it just notified you about). The only nice thing it can sometimes provide is the original window sticker, but that's now failing 90% of the time. I used to like this app, but it's more trouble than it's worth

Good not great App. You can never set the right distance from your house. It bring us cars more than a hundred miles away no matter how low the search radius is set. Please fix. The feedback to my original review stated that if carfax could make the app better , for me to let them know. I did tell them to fix the location and distance issues where even though you may ask to see cars within 50 miles, the app still gives you cars 200 miles away. Please don't patronize. FIX the issues

Every so often I'll try to search for vehicles and when I select all makes or any make at all it'll come back saying that there's no vehicles to show when I know that there's thousands. I'll have to uninstall then reinstall for it to work again. After the most recent update it still sucks. Still does the same thing. When you select a car it pops up with an error message saying this action can't be performed. Update 9/5/23 still doing it after an update....

Broken app. Anytime you try to initiate a search it just throws an error message and you get zero results. Isn't that the core functionality of the app? Everything was working perfectly a couple of months ago. How does this update even get published in it's current state? Do you even have a QA department? I hope someone lost their job over this because that's just sad. Running the latest version on a Google Pixel2 with the latest software installed.

I like this app because it helps me keep up with maintenance on my vehicles (got a free subscription when I bought a car). I am giving 3 stars though because I have had to manually put in the same maintenance twice now for one vehicle. I keep getting notifications about services being due, but they're the same ones I've entered. Very annoying!

For the most part, great. . I got it thinking I could run Carfax reports, doesn't seem to be the case. It seems to include only dealers willing to ante up, conflict? It has some SPOTTY dealers with not so good cars, no way for feedback to specific car, so others don't waste their time. Not sure about the good deal/great deal algorithm. The calculation does not seem to include a technology factor. It is a big deal year to year. Hmm, changing the rating.

Loves to forget filters randomly while searching. Especially the search range. Every time I change/add a filter I have to change the search range to a different distance then back to the one I actually want. Extremely frustrating. On the upside at least the vehicle is actually the right vehicle the majority of the time, as opposed to say CarGurus which constantly has the wrong trim or whatever.

Been using this app for years, suddenly I can't view more than the main picture. Keep getting a "whoops, that's not what we expected to happen" error. *Update* after your reply, I tried again and had the same issue. No updates were available so I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Now it won't find any cars at all. Everything says "Show 0 results"

I used this app for quite awhile. Then I ran out of money to buy a car!! Lol. Anyway, the app is Awesome!! They had so many choices within my small price range. Sometimes the places were too far away. And get ready because they send tons of emails. It does certainly suit the purpose!! I am only getting rid of the app because of my own procrastination and I am no longer looking for a car. Thank you Carfax!!🙋

I love how easy to use this app is. You can easily choose the make/model you are interested in and then further filter for specific details you want in a car. These filters include price, mileage, trim, fuel type, features and so much more. Being able to use so many different filter options helps leave the guess work out of trying to narrow down my car search. I highly recommend this app when searching for a used car!

App is ok but it constantly brings you to the top of the page instead of where you left off causing you to scroll down and find where you left off. It's annoying and not efficient. Also it does not support two apps open at the same time which is understandable but for such a big company you would think they would have simple issues like this resolved, guess not! Smh 3 stars!

This app malfunctions like no other. They send you a notification on a vehicle you're following, and the link doesn't take you to said vehicle. Also, you set your search criteria for a specific make, model, transmission, and drivetrain, and 2 minutes later, it's showing you everything you don't want. Horrible program both app and online page. If you're going to use this, set some time aside to keep going back n forth, playing with the settings.

when the app is working, it's absolutely great. informative, in depth, and thorough... but that's when it's working. and since I've had the app I've had more experience with malfunctions than with positive car searching. if they could fix the "whoops, that's not what we expected to happen" error occurring consistently, then this app would be perfect. for two days now I haven't even been able to actually search for any used vehicles. when I press search, their error code pops up.
