More About Card Crawl

Card Crawl is a solitaire-style dungeon crawler game played with a modified deck of standard cards.
Clear the dungeon of 54 cards by using item-cards, slaying monsters and managing your limited inventory. On each run, you can use five ability-cards (mini deck building) to gain unique skills. By collecting gold, you can unlock 35 more ability-cards to access new tactics and even higher scores.

Card Crawl’s four single-player game modes are enhanced by Google Play to let players compare their scores and the associated decks. A typical game lasts two or three minutes and is a perfect “one more game” experience while waiting in line or commuting.

Gets stale quick. You're deck stays the same each and every game you play, the only thing that changes are 5 cards; that's it. Unlocking characters does not unlock any potions, weapons, shields, or monster. Stick with the free version of the game because the paid version is absolutely not worth it. Too little content, gets stale quick, and no speed settings. Avoid if you want variance between each runs, not the same thing repeated again and again.

I really liked the concept, but the execution was a hard miss for me. The quests and challenges are built more around grinding than making things more entertainingly difficult. I enjoyed the base game enough to drop the money on the full version, but it quickly became apparent that there really wasn't any value add -- took less than a full day of playing intermittently during my downtime before it went from a cute, fun little time-killer to a tedious grind. I'd say the free version is worth a download if you'd like to give it a try, but I personally wouldn't recommend paying to unlock the rest

Love the design. Intuitive gameplay and lovely visual aesthetic, good animation. Nice bite-size sessions, and I like that it's a one-time buy for full unlock. A little grind-y at times; found myself replaying decks that were no longer ”challenging in an interesting way” more times than I'd have liked to unlock early milestones. UI is slightly obtuse in places. Overall highly recommend.

It's a good game and I've been playing it for years it's a very good time killer, yet on my new device for some reason the audio sounds like a badly emulated PS2 game. Like the audio is too stretched out and it skips, this also happened on my older device after a certain update I don't remember which one. I tried to find a contact me button so I could email but I couldn't find one so now I'm writing this review which I never do. Still, great game I hope the audio issue doesn't happen to you

Great for when you're killing time: difficult enough to keep you occupied, and entertaining enough to keep on playing. Goals/quests are achievable with a little work, no lag on either of my Samsungs (Note 4 & Note 8), graphics are simple but stylish, sounds and music are nice and not annoying (!!!); overall this is a wonderful game, and one of the few that I've kept when switching phones. Kudos to the developers, they've put some work into this, and it shows!!

Going into this game I didn't expect it to be as good as it is. I feel fairly neutral abt card based video games but often find them dissapointingly simple. This one is very simple in design but has a surprising amount of strategy involved that increases as new cards are unlocked. Truly a great example of easy to learn but challenging to master. The game doesn't change a ton from play to play but I still find myself coming back to it anytime I have a few minutes to kill.

This game is a standby fave because it's simple but still requires some thought and has great replay value. The only gripe I have is that any time I do chaos and have a 0 card, my life always becomes 0. I understand that statistically this obviously has to happen sometimes, but it is literally every time and then I lose the game. Might be a bug, not sure. Otherwise, love it.

An interesting take on a card game and it is a really fun way to pass the time. It's not normally extremely difficult, although I'm not super far yet, but you have to think about how you want to balance inventory, damage, and health. The artwork on the cards is well done along with the UI and sound design,. Overall it's a great little game and I strongly recommend it along with Cataclysm DDA and Wesnoth for a must have on your phone

This is a really fun game! Each play-thru has its own unique challenges, which gives it incredible replay value. It's one of the games I keep on my phone and play during spare moments. Two things that could possibly improve it. One would be being able to spend the gold after you buy all Ability Cards. Spending Gold ends after a short while of consistent gameplay. Another thing is I wish there was an option to undo the very last move made. That's what gold should buy. Undos! Great Game!

Card Crawl is a game that on the surface is incredibly fun, but has a deeper level of strategy as you become accustomed to the flow and new cards unlocked. It can still suffer from the RNG that haunts solitaire games but it almost seems like behind the scenes that an algorithm stacks the deck in your favor to prevent bad luck streaks, a welcome mechanic if so because you can still lose playing recklessly. Can't recommend the full game enough as I've poured hours into trying to complete the deck.

Like all of this studio's games, this one is simple yet brilliant. It seems so minimal, and yet is surprisingly addictive and replayable. My only complaint is one common to ALL the studio's games. The sound is unstable and after a time drops out. It may drop after 5 minutes, or 20, but it is going to drop. Still, their games are just so damned good that I just can't drop a point! I call this one 4.5* rounded up.

This game is fun and unique and I like that it rewards strategic play in more points at the end for unused cards. I wrote this review to say that the devs are doing this the right way. You guys have offered everything the game has for free with no ads. You can pay (a good price in my opinion) for additional features, cards and longer play. It makes me want to pay to unlock other cards and modes to try the different ways to play. This is the way I think all paid mobile games should be done.

For the majority, very enjoyable. I don't like the ratio of how much I lost compared to won, especially considering I would get to the very end of match, nearly to win it, but regularly get stuck with losing cards. Nevertheless, I'm not a regular player of actual solitaire and I feel like there's a possibility I'm not thinking through or strategizing my matches like they may need to be. Overall, great concept and execution. Keep up the good work and hustle !

6/14/24: Still playing... still enjoying. 2/9/19: Pretty simple to learn, more "luck of the draw" than strategy, but no timer, no stress, and (my favorite) no-fault reset. Collect ability cards to change things up a bit as you go. Great for those of us who play to relax... not intended for adrenaline junkies! Thank you Tinytouchtales!!!

One of the better card games on here. The grind to open the last mode is painful but the core gameplay is fun so it doesn't hurt so much. I appreciate that it's pay to play. Games with advertising are nice but sometimes I want to but a game and not unlock bonuses by watching ads or whatever. The developers of the game thought through the mechanics. It's simple but slight changes make a huge difference. The art is wonderful. It compliments the game very well.

A nice core concept, but lacks depth. Different monsters that have special effects (Can't be targeted by spells, can't be blocked by shields, etc.) would help add some depth to the otherwise basic number crunching. Additionally, you have no idea what RNG picks the game will give you for ability cards. Some, Shield Bash, can solo win an entire run, while others only serve to increase your score, and a few can even get you killed!

Card Crawl is a very fun game. I played the repetitive fee version for a year or so because even though there are not many cards to play with, games are quick and fun. I bought the full version for $4.99 and really like all the new cards (40 in total i think). There is also a Dungeon Maker mode to create and share your customized decks. Would love some new dungeon cards artwork added at some point.

I'll say this. It's rare I ever have a game installed on my phone for more than a week. Even rarer a mobile game will hold my interest for that long. But for about a month, maybe two, this game has had my full attention. The progress is slow, yes. But the game itself is fun, strategic, challenging, and well balanced. Tiny Touch games is one of my favorite developers. Monetization doesn't punish the player, and the unlockables end up way more rewarding than they seem initially. Highly recommended

I love this game. I personally prefer games that don't require intense strategy to win, and this one is challenging but not too hard. I had fun playing to collect the ability cards, and I'm still having fun after collecting all of them. I do wish some of the other achievements weren't quite so difficult, but I still enjoy playing. The art is great, the music and sound effects are excellent. Game play/controls work perfectly.

This game suffers from a SEVERE lack of depth. You start the game by beating a "dungeon" deck. The thing is, the enemies in the dungeon NEVER change. They don't get harder, they don't evolve, there are no variants... It's the same enemies time after time. The game is also very buggy. I got soft locked multiple times. And clicking on the deck merchant buttons just brings me to the leaderboards? That makes no sense . Maybe I would like the game more if I could get past these bugs.
