Not a bad app. I like that everything is customizable (like the gauges on the dashboard). The app only has two problems: 1) After a period of time (about a month on average) it shows that your trial has expired. The problem I have with that is there is nothing about this being a trial in the "read more" section on Google Play Store. 2) There are options to backup all of your gauges and recorded data, and there is also an option to export it. Unfortunately they missed an import feature, so it does you no good if you have to change your phone. I just spent 45 minutes reconfiguring my gauges. That sucks. Fix those two problems and the rating will go up to five stars.

Fairly comprehensive The only thing I wish it could do is program keys and remotes, if it is there I haven't found it yet. Only used it once to realize it was good. Previously I had used another app, but had limited info. I thought my Bluetooth reader didn't read right. I was looking at another reader ($400+) but decided to look into this app first. Sooo glad I did, almost every option was suddenly there and functional.

It works. It does its job. With a Bluetooth adapter I can read and understand DTC's on most of our vehicles (excluding our heavy truck) for free, and look at the engine speed and other stuff (even if the vehicle doesn't come with those gauges). Connection reliability is good. The only thing I dislike of course is the free "pro" trial ending, but so be it. Being a mechanic though, I might just upgrade. EDIT: I upgraded to pro. SO WORTH IT! I can do so much now! Five stars instead of four.

Pretty Awemos!(More awesome than Awesome) Car Scanner works well, has many PIDs, and ones that it doesn't have can be manually added! Includes the ability to set the priority of each individual sensor for refresh rate control (under sensor properties). Plus it's a FREE app! I paid anyway not because the ads were intrusive , but just because it was better than others I've tried. It's Better Than TORQUE! I've had "mixed" results with the acceleration tests(1/4mile etc) but that is to be expected.

Using on a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban and I'm blown away by how much info I'm able to check & see... awesome assortment and variety of information given (even in free version!). I've tried other apps and this one shows THE most by far (more than an app I'm paying 4.99 a month for!). Thinking of canceling other one and sticking with THIS one! Great job, developer(s)! You can select your vehicle/manufacturer interface (or select the top generic auto detect if unsure).

Fantastic app, used in conjunction with a Veepeak OBD Check Plus something something. I'm super impressed with how in depth it is. So much more than a code scanner. Data logging? Check. Live sensor readouts? Check. Virtual dashboard that can even go into HUD mode? Check. There's so much more to it, and for what it is, this is truly an incredible deal for what it costs. Buy the full version. You won't regret it.

Tried a whole bunch of these car scanner apps. This is by far the best. If you have an ELM code reader device, this is the software to get. The basic free app will work for most people. For a minor cost for the pro version you unlock additional useful monitoring parameters. Developers: I can set the guage boundaries for the dial type display but not on the graph display. It would be nice to be able to set the min and Max values on the graph displays as well.

I bought a scanner from Amazon to read an ABS fault code. This was the first app I tried and, with the default settings, didn't get any results. I tried several other apps to no avail. Finally, I came back to Car Scanner ELM OBD2 as i recalled a message saying there was an option for more intensive scans. I find that you can slide the dot on the error read page to the right to enable more options. The scan took a while but gave me what I needed!

app works good. i use it to turn off the engine light so i can use my remote start. evap emissions small leak is the code. I'm not ready to fix that one yet. But the app works fine. Not a ton of stupid ads either. Sometimes it doesn't want to connect via Bluetooth but that's not the apps fault... its my phone. Dont know how it could be improved so it gets 5 stars.

I've been using the free version of the app, & I must say I was surprised at the features it has with it's "limitations" & Ads. I was pleasantly surprised. Well I just upgraded to the pro, to do with no "limitations" & see what happens. *Update* Good app, If & when you can "connect" . Buffers then "unable to connect" tests your patience. But works decent once 'connected' .

I tried a few other high ranked free apps. The others either didn't display what a code meant or didn't give you any codes at all. This one helped me figure out a misfire code and an idle air control issue. Fixed both myself for under $60. Debating getting the paid version because this app is awesome. Update: I bought the app. Love it. I use a $10 bluetooth OBDII I found on Amazon and have no issues. So if it can work with my cheap reader, it can work with anything.

This is the best obd2 scanning app possible, the amount of information is superb. While being laid out in an organized user friendly experience. There's the stuff for novices and a Experts here. Some people have given a one star due to the app not connecting to the scanner, but all you have to die is turn off mobile data. Then turn back on mobile data and everything will work fine after it is paired

Fantastic app. The free version has a lot more features available than I expected and the paid version is the best one available. Thank you for such a powerful diagnostic tool. Every mechanic should use this app and anyone who drives a car should have this app . I discovered new things about my car I had no idea even existed. Download this app and get the OBD scanner and plug it into your car. You won't be disappointed!!!!!

I wish the ELM-327 & ECU connections were consistently stable....Car Scanner would be a good app. Bought the $5 paid version, and needed to reboot Android for a stable connect. More recently, it won't connect at all. I have used Torque for many years, with no problems connecting. I gave up on Car Scanner and tried the $5 paid version of OBD Fusion...no problems with connection. I'm impressed with both Scanner and Fusion's capabilities compared to Torque. Unfortunately, gave up on Scanner.

This app works great. I might even buy the paid version... Edit: Bought the paid version and it still works great with my 2020 Chevy Bolt. It's important to keep a record of the parameters of your vehicle to make sure it's performing as expected. You can choose what sensors to monitor and automatically save a file to your phone. Awesome app!

Was initially impressed with this program and decided to purchase the pro version. That is when things took a turn. I have multiple German made vehicles and work on several others as well. Since purchasing the upgrade, I have not been able to connect to any of the German cars, and have reached out to the developers about the issue on multiple occasions. It would not be so bad if I received some type of feedback from my messages to them, maybe this will help them to contact me to resolve it.

I haven't had this app very long yet, but it looks like a very good app. Seems to show every available sensor reading on the vehicle. I am looking forward to using it for a long time. Update: This app works great with all 3 of my vehicles, both EV & ice vehicles. I upgraded to the pro version ($5) so my profiles for each vehicle can have multiple screens to view on the dashboard. I have used it on everything from an old 1998 Chevy pickup to a 2023 EV. It works great on them all. Thanks 😊

This is the app I use all the time for generic obd2. Most simple interface for live data I have found. You would earn a fifth star if you developed better control of x and y graph axes of live data, so I could stop the axes from changing all the time, and be able to control 2 graphs y axes simultaneously. Also, it is ridiculously hard to contact the developer from within the app. Fix it! But overall a great app for my needs.

Decent app for the money, but leaves you feeling like you should have gone for something more powerful. If you are getting it for the customization (coding) then don't bother. It's there but it only gives access to a few very basic functions that you really aren't going to change from the default settings anyway. The detailed features that I really wanted to change don't even show up on the list. I know they are there because I have watched people change them with more powerful tools, not this.

This app is very nicely laid out and easy to use. The only problem I've noticed is it doesn't show my rpm, freezes on the first value it sees. incardoc works. But I think it's pretty cool where you can configure it for different vehicle brand obdii systems. Is cool it may be able to access things like trans modules except that doesn't appear to be supported for my car.
