Great app! Easy to use, customizable options are great to make captions even better. When I came across some minor issues, Support was great looking for solutions. Definitely recommended if you want to add some great captions to your reels

Does captions but does not have a lot of options, and is not very user friendly. Plus it make you sign up for the free 3 day trial using a credit card. LOTS of better options out there!

The whole point of having auto captions is that it takes away most of the work so I can focus on other aspects. But it makes me manually put in the captions. Which I could do from any video app. So what's the point of this?

I'm curious if this is what I'm looking for. I watch live streamers from different countries on tiktok. And I'm wanting to know what they're saying whenever they speak their mother language. And hopefully this will give me the subtitles to translate to English. I'll rate ☆'s later follow by me trying this out.

Easy to use and did everything I needed. Good options to edit the closed captions (it didn't recognise the Welsh language but that's to be expected) and their placement etc, downloaded everything easily... etc. Perfect for quick, good quality closed captions for marketing n that.

Great to capture captions in all languages. I am using it to make translation subtitles but there is no draft so if I cannot finish the translation quickly, I have to restart it all over again. Thanks for the answer. I will look forward for this feature and now I already give high five!

No, awful money grab, awful UI... Apps are supposed to make things faster not slower. If you unlocked automatic subtitles for a trial without needing my information, I would've reconsidered. But the app as it is right now... not a good idea.

Signed up for the trial, they charged me the full amount and the app is horrible. Sucks at automatic transcribing captions. If I have to edit every other word, what's the point? Can't change specific word colors like other apps. Do not buy!

So far I am loving this app. Instagram was messing up my captions, so I decided to try another app for my captions. I tried others that I felt had a more difficult interface and were harder to edit. This is pretty accurate and saves me a ton of time. I would like more caption styles, but that is not a deal breaker.

The app is great. I needed it for a work project, and it served its purpose very well. But beyond that, they have a very human team behind this app. I reached out for something, and the support was super fast and responsive. Shout out to the Subcap team for showing that you can pay attention to the little details of your users. I was so happy and impressed. Thanks y'all.

this is an excellent app! It does a phenomenal job of translating spoken words to text. it's the best one I've found so far and well worth the investment. I had a little glitch with it where it failed to recognize the fact that I had purchased it after I cleared the cache, but simply opening it from Play Store made the difference.

When I first tried to use the app, It wouldn't load the app so I couldn't use it. So I waited a while, And then I went back onto the app and it finally worked. I tried to put in a random video from my library, And I tried to add some captions. But then when I was trying to set the time when the captions first show up, It started lagging alot, And I know it wasn't my phone or anything because as soon as I went out of the app it stopped lagging until I went back into the app. Please fix this.

It misses the objective for me, i cant set the captions where i want exactly, cant pick the colors you want, it makes it difficult to change the time the words appear and switch , and for the cost you better make all this a must, otherwise i can find a app that i do all the words myself and still be able to do much more for that expense . its no where near worth what they want to charge you

The free version has a horrible, not subtle watermark and it doesn't tell you this until you go export your project. It won't even show a preview of the watermark so you can't see it until it's downloaded. Otherwise you can pay a monthly fee to get it removed. Also the free version doesn't include auto generated captions.

It simply didn't work. I had 30 seconds of video in Japanese and it translated the first 3 seconds. I would not recommend this app.

Edit- after response I read to the very end of 'about this app' and found not a single mention of it being subscription only and no mention of payment before the "free" trial. No need to be snarky dev. In app purchases is very misleading. It's not "in app purchases", it's a subscription service. Just be honest upfront it's an app you have to subscribe to regular payments to use. No one needs to charge me £30 for a "free" trial.

Firstly, I like the fact that some of the features on this app is free. Next, I like the variety of fonts and colours that we can use when we make the captions. But, when you export the video, it not only takes a long time to export it, but when we do something in the background, it exits that exporting and starts over again! I definitely do not recommend this app if you want to export/ add captions to your videos!

I upgraded so I could add subtitles to my videos. Only to realize they don't support videos longer than 5 minutes. Why didn't you tell me that when I tried to upload before I upgraded? You only told me my free version had expired, why didn't you also say... "Oh, we noticed you're uploading a video longer than 5 minutes, that's not supported". You only informed me after I subscribed. Please refund me. Thank you. P.S. I found that disclaimer on your website. Not everyone reads your website.

I needed an app to create and CC a video for a class and Subcap was almost perfect. I wish I could record longer video, but for what I used it for, I was able to make it work in the time allowed. I did a trial subscription because I only needed to make one video, but I would definitely subscribe long-term if I needed to make more short CC videos. The autocaption was accurate, and where it wasn't, it was very easy to edit to make it perfect. The font and display options are great! Thanks!!
