More About Captain's Choice

Take on the role of the captain of a pirate ship and go in search of adventure!
"Captain's Choice" is a unique visual novel that combines fantasy and real-life historical events. You will have to go from being a simple boy from a coastal town to the legendary admiral of pirates. You will have to make crucial decisions that determine the fate of the world at every step!

Captain's Choice's motto is that every decision has consequences that must be accepted with honor! In this quest, your decisions directly affect the course of events. It's up to you to determine who is destined to live to the end of history, and who will remain at rest under the sea among the losers and mythical monsters.

When deciding the fate of the world, you should not forget about your personal life. Any captain should have someone waiting for him on shore. You'll meet many beautiful companions along the way, but who will be the only one for you? A merchant's daughter, a dashing sailor, a witch, a daughter of an Indian chief, or a ghost of a girl from the underworld? Or maybe you don't want to leave anyone out? In this case, you should insure your life in the nearest port ...

Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of the eighteenth century! The War of Spanish Succession is tearing apart the New World and the entire Atlantic - but for privateers, this is just another excuse to fill the holds with gold. Which captain would you rather be? A ruthless and unscrupulous corsair, robbing everyone in his path? Or a noble privateer fighting at sea for the freedom of his homeland? It's up to you to decide! Depending on your decisions, you will make many friends and enemies, including getting to know the famous eighteenth-century pirates personally - Blackbeard, Henry Morgan and many others.

The sea will not conquer itself, so do not hesitate and raise the Jolly Roger over the mast! May luck smile on you, may you bathe in gold and glory!

In The Captain's Choice, you'll find:
- 10 exciting story chapters,
- more than 1,000 random events on land and sea,
- 5 female companions open to romance,
- dozens of mythical creatures and sea monsters,
- establishing a personal pirate settlement,
- running a dystopian alchemist farm raising outlandish herbs and selling potions.

simple game with complicated side-game,very repeat-able. it's recommended to stack lots of resources before moving to next zone to avoid hellish cycle of waiting for resources because in order to gain small resources you need to spend alot for upgrade. you need to play it safe before you find stable income at new area. what you are going find is completely randomized and repeat-able.

Finished it in 3 days. It takes a LOT of patience to grind for objectives. I love the story, my only concern is the sensitivity of the buttons. I managed to get 1M+ gold during War Deck and pressing the button to save it in the merchant tested me. Need a new 10,000 button for investing merchant. But overall, LOVE IT.

This game has SO much potential. But one specific issue made my experiences a TORTURE so I HAD to uninstall. The so called "random" card selection is a COMPLETE LIE. In EVERY deck, as soon as you get the means to advance, the event you need won't appear, the game knows you can advance so it keeps repeating other events over and OVER again until you lose your resources and guess what? As SOON as you lose then, the needed event appears. This is not a bug, it's PROGRAMMED so developers change this!

Although there are many grammatical errors, the storyline is both great and well articulated. I think the developers should try improving the background music, like in the Chapter V where it was trying to portray what the abyss sound/seem like. It is considerable for the developers to have a hard time with translating since it is orgininally written in russian text. I highly recommend this game, it is very innovative, 👍.

The resource grinding needs improvement; it takes too much time and repetition. However, I've genuinely enjoyed the game. It gets more complicated when you go and go to the next chapter. The story part its intriguing because its has deep story in every chapter and your choice is connected between chapters, which is a pleasant surprise for me. Im still at administration and it keeps surprising me again with new mechanic lol, hopefully i will finish this. Thx for the bugfix. Recommend = Yes

I think the story elements and dialogue itself is very well crafted, I also really enjoyed the way choices effect your distant future. Can't say I liked the fact my loyal crew were just simple numbers. Getting my ship repaired & generally progressing the storylines took way to many page cycles leaving me unable to do a lot on most pages, I would like to have seen more options as to what & where I choose to do and go and perhaps a personal log with character info pertaining to my past adventures.

Y'know, despite how broken the language is, the game uses very good visuals to make it very interesting indeed. Even the story itself is amplified due to the addition of wonderfully fitting pictures. Overall, it's quite a technical game, needing to do much. But exciting story nonetheless. Though repetitive, each side quest is quite fun. Like that tavern- you finally turn it to a lovely big place of communal drinking. Looks fancy even.

I just finished the game, and I really enjoyed playing it. Chapter 9 could use some improvement. But overall, the story is very interesting and the location and stats you have to maintain changes every chapter so it doesn't get too repetitive. And your choices make a difference in the story. This game deserves high praise. Thank you for that experience. 😊

Excellent game, haven't finished it yet, just passed like the third area, but the English used is terrible! I can barely understand anything that is being told in the game because the language is so poor. I'm still rating the game 5 stars because I think the gameplay is excellent. I implore you to hire someone to correct the grammar and edit your text.

The game was amazing. I fully completed the game. The ending felt very emotional. The story was great. Overall a very good game to play. But there was only one problem with some chapter (exactly can't remember which was those two chapters) that i had to repeat same events again and again very much time to complete the chapter and that was like a headache. Lastly i am happy with the game.

I love it! Definitely one of the best text role-playing game ever made. I like how you really have to weigh your options and how it impacts your adventures. Also, i love the way that the game maker used mini-game to aid the players and to spice up the game. It gave players a good "rest stop" to think of their next move. It also made the game more enjoyable. Side notes: The English has room for improvement. There was a "run time error?". However, that was fixed by closing and re-opening the app

I love the game, I actually played it a few years ago, but my phone broke, so I lost all my progress. But I replay it again now and have been playing for 4 days straight. The game is very enjoyable, nice music and art. There's a minor problem with the English translation, but it's still understandable. I'm stuck in chapter 9, though, at the hospital event 😂🥲 But overall, the game is GREAT. I recommend it to people who love text rpg. Edit : I just finished the game. It was a bittersweet ending

Actually a fun game after you figure it out.. would be probably a 4 or 5 star game but after playing for about 45 minutes , I received a run-time error and had to delete and reinstall the game.. was unable to recover my last game and basically forced to restart my quest from the very beginning.. dont know if I will try playing it again honestly.

giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because the text in the dialogue doesnt makes sense some times. this makes its frustrating to move through the game sometimes or you make a story changing decision based off not understanding what they're saying cause the text is so bad. overall this keeps my attention and I'm very happy the theres alot of content. fix the text and you have a 5 star game.

The game has promise, but it's VERY unpolished. Some sections, like the witch and the village, have terrible UI, and also have elements that don't seem to actually do anything yet. The potential for a good game is here, but I think the creators shouldn't have released so many clearly unfinished parts of the game. (Also: "swimming" is not remotely the same as "sailing". I hope they fix all the places with the translation error.)

Translations are not good and there are some inconsistencies, such as the rat's name changed multiple times in the prison chapter. I'm stuck on this island and I have to sneak around Morgan's camp. I have been detected multiple times and have to then gather wood to repair the ship over and over. Detection raising by half each time seems like alot and makes this part extremely frustrating. This game was fun at the start but now that I am stuck doing the same thing, I am giving up

This game used to be fun. I was very enged by this game, but once you get to Jamacia it gets frustrating and boring. Gone is the story and it is replaced with a step above a unforgiving idle game. This chapter requires so mich grinding and combined with the randomness of the game to begin with, it results in hours of progress being lost just because you get the same terrible event twice in a row and are useless to fight it. Fix this and I will change my review.

It's an interesting game, I enjoyed playing. I barely started Deck two when I quit. In deck one it had me play through a bunch of the scenes again before giving me the option to move on. In deck two my ship is constantly destroyed, I have no money, I lost over 200 reputation for making smart decisions, I blew through hundreds of crew, and just like in deck one it says I have multiples of the first 17 herbs but it won't let me scroll through more than 4 to make potions.

The game's alright, it starts out pretty good. Although once you set sail it just repeats the same events over and over, it gets incredibly boring due to nothing ever changing. I simply gave up at that part even though I wanted to know what was next! There should be less repeating events and more unique ones, or at least stop it from repeating so much.

Amazing game. Great story. Lots of options with different roads it can take you. Including consequences for certain choices. The reason I give it a 3 star, aside from the grinding of chapter 5 and 6, is the extreme grammar issues in chapter 7. These games always have grammar issues but I literally dont know what their saying most the times in chapter 7. Like it was copy and pasted from a translator. Devs, please review and update the grammar issues.
